We spent 3 weeks travelling central Europe, staying at 6 different Accor hotels in 5 different countries - and this was by far the best of them! A very helpful and friendly staff in a clean and inspiring hotel, offering 24/7 hot beverages for free, own small secured parking lot, fast Wi-Fi, located 2 minutes walk from the Danube and 15 minutes from them City Centre... everything for an affordable price.. we will definitely come back!
A verry nice and friendly hotel with an interesting concept :) The bicycles at the reception was fun. Nice and clean room, verry good food, friendly staff. Good location also. We had a great stay at the hotel. I will highly recomand.
Prices in Budapest are rising. Therefore, it was a pleasure to find a hotel that was still affordable and clean. Rooms are all in a cycling theme and the whole breakfast room is decorated accordingly. The hotel is "one bridge" outside the city centre but the nearly tram 2 quickly brings you wherever you need to be in the city.
The hotel has very convenient location, it is 20 min by nice walk next to Danube river to the city centre, bus station, tram station (lines no. 2, 4, 6), metro station just in front of the hotel, so you do not need your car at all for moving around Budapest. We got family connecting room - one with double bed and the other room was single room with large closet so you can place all your luggage there. Room very clean and tidy. The rooms have very nice and interesting interior, my kid love it! At the lobby, there are few bicycle installations so you can sit and ride to prepare smoothy for breakfast - cool idea! All day free coffee and water available at the lobby. The staff were so kind and willing to answer all your queries. Breakfast was very good, always fresh with lot of choices. There are few available parking slots, we were not charged for parking our car there, very nice touch by the hotel staff. It should be noted that during the weekend, parking at public places in Budapest (if you find one) is free (there is few parking slots just behind the hotel's corner, so if you are staying during the weekend, I m sure you can find some free parking slots there. Budapest is a great city, very warm, a lot of things to explore and visit. Food in the city centre is tasty, I would recommend to try local food (Hungarian goulash, onion soup etc.), prices are around EUR 5 and you get large dish. During our visit, the weather was pretty nice, so we were outside all day, otherwise, in case of bed weather, this hotel maybe miss a nice indoor pool to give it 5 star rate. :)
Pros: - central location to see all things in Budapest (20 min. by walk) - clean rooms with good wifi - helpful and professional staff members - safe neighbourhood - tram stop is close to hotel (5 min.) Cons: - room was small and felt quite dated - the beds were not especially comfortable - public areas smelled of cigarette smoke - poor breakfast (scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, ham, cheese, some bread and sweet pastry), no vegetables, a bit of fruit...
One of the warmest rooms we had on on our three week eastern European tour. The rooms were cheerful and bright. Put a smile on my face everytime I came back to the room. Breakfast was not as good as in the other Ibis hotels we stayed in. The cook needs to brush up a bit. As a compulsive cyclist I loved the cycling theme. The staff was helpful in getting a bike rental which was a little pricy. I would suggest the hotel does what many others do which is get a few bicycles that are usable and not just for decoration. Location was good and what you couldn't walk to was accessible by taking the tram line in front of the hotel.
Very clean and confortable with nice agents with perfect level of customer service. Good breakfast and nice design of all the hotel. Maybe a little bit noisy when room on street side. To be asked when booking.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Styles Budapest City and would definitely recommend the hotel to others. We stayed there twice, once for two nights at the beginning of our holiday and again for 2 nights at the end. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were clean and spacious. We could not have picked a better hotel to stay at for the location, right on the river with restaurants and bars within easy walking or cycling distance.
As always, it was a pure pleasure. Quick check in (even if a trainee checked me in), highly friendly and professional staff. My room was on the 6th floor with a wonderful view over the danube. Just an uncomplicated, enjoyable stay!
The hotel was great! Walking distance to the city centre and Váci utca, close to good restaurants at Ráday utca. The hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and variable. The staff very helpful and kind. and finally, the price for the hotel really affordable.
