We stayed overnight, and thank God that we were there for only one night. Everything in this hotel is old but was not the problem. The most significant problem with this hotel was the cleanliness, in particular, its lack. The bathroom was honestly dirty. The room was also dusty and unpleasant. The bed was hard, the mattress was made of something like recycled cardboard. As it comes to the blankets, they were too small, even for me (my height is 1.60 m) and the pillows were too soft, when you lie down on it is like they do not exist. We had a prepaid half board that wasn't so bad, but there was a problem with, too. Generally, they offer three types of a menu for the half board, but we hadn't any choice, they just served us something. Actually the main dish was tasty, but still, the salad wasn't fresh at all and according to me, we should have a choice. The dessert was below any standards. e And of course, the free wi-fi was available only in the lobby and in the restaurant.

Its a simple hotel for backpackers super situated between train station Budapest Kelenföld und the city. Tramstation in the corner. The hotel is clean, simple, available for people with low budget. The rooms are quiet, you can make tea but find no hairdryer. The breakfast coud be better. The orange juice for example is only a coloured water. The meals aren't named, one can try to guess.

- It's not a 3 star hotel - maybe closer to one star. Furniture is old an room wasn't clean - dust on the floor. + It's 10 min ride from the city centre - 4 kilometers. It's cheap. The breakfast was ok.

We stayed overnight in this hotel as part of a touristic circuit in Central Europe, so it was the choice of the tour operator, not ours. The rooms are not cheap enough if you consider the shower cabinet cleaning was not done properly, leaving behind thick traces of soap foam from previous guests. The towels were looking old, with traces of stains. The building itself needs refurbishment as well. There is a small shop with souvenirs in the lobby - that's the only nice thing here. Breakfast was plain and simple, but it was ok. They have a piece of paper on every table to remind their guests that taking food outside the restaurant will be charged 10 euros. Well, the food is not that good, we didn't feel like taking any piece of it with us. That note however is simply disrespectful. If their message is "you all have 10 euros to buy better food somewhere else" than it means they agree we shouldn't return.

Definitely it doesn't deserve to be called a 3* hotel. The reception is ok, but the corridors and the rooms are dirty and have a really horrible air of old hotel. The room we got had no electricity when we checked-in, it smelled funny and we couldn't really open the window because we were afraid it will fall. Also the linen and towels seemed to be really old and used. The only good thing about it is, I think, that it's cheap. Other than that, better avoid it, especially if you are a clean freak regarding hotel rooms. There are way better and cleaner 3* hotels in Budapest.

It's redeemeing feature is that it it cheap and not far from a decent station, Kelenfold. Consequently it is full of young people on holiday and a bit noisy for it. The architecture feels Soviet era and the corridors long and vey echoey. The WiFi speed is appalling and frequently cuts out. Why can't hotels get this right? An internet connection is as important as electricity and water these days. The restaurant is actually not that bad for a hotel of this kind. The location is in the more commercial part of Buda and not particularly attractive. If you base your holiday purely on having somewhere to sleep on a tight budget Hotel Griff will suit, but if you want somewhere with a bit more life then you might look towrads Pest.

The hall is ok. But the rooms and corridors are dirty. The receptionist was smoking in the back-room of the reception. You can not tell when was the room repaired. The walls are thick and there is a door towards the next room. We are not recommend this hotel. The bathroom is moldy. :-( :-S

It's close to Kelenfold station and so is convenient for the city centre. Not too badly priced but the place has a really tired feeling to it. Staff reasonably helpful but not over smiley! The room was fine and did the job. Shame the restaurant is open for more than a couple of hours, which certainly isn't late! If you're spending the day in the city then eat there, as you won't get anything in the hotel if you're later than around 20:30. Breakfast is fine, though the sausages and eggs are a little unusual... Free wifi only in the lounge according to the reception, though I got it in the room but NOT in the reception.

Once upon a time the hotel may have had better times. Now is good for Ukrainian noisy tourist groups and all those who could not find any other more decent hotel in Budapest. Poor furniture, towels from the times of Austro-Hungarian empire, smell, and feelig of being lost in the eighties of the last century. Avoid if possible. Positive: cheap (in all senses of this word!).

Very dirty, floors were disgusting and the shower was something out of a horror movie. If you are looking to get quality sleep, go some where else... The walls were paper thin and you can hear everything going on above, below and side to side of the rooms.
