The check in set the standard for the hotel, very efficient and professional. The room was very large and comfortable as was the bed,the room was cleaned daily and we had no complaints on that score, the bathroom was spotlessly clean as were the towels and the complimentary shower gel and shampoo were very good. The breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit and cereals a good selection of cold meats and cheese, the hot breakfast was a limited choice of scrambled egg, beans or boiled eggs and there was an excellent choice of breads, pastries and preserves. The coffee machine was very good allowing you a choice of espresso etc and was easy to use.The location of the hotel although about 15minutes walk to the centre, there is a convenient metro station within 5 minutes walk. For people wishing to self cater there is a supermarket a couple of minutes away as well as an excellent restaurant,so all in all Fraser Residence was an ideal choice for us
I like when everything is just exactly the same as it was described on the website. Fraser is just like that. There was no unpleasant surprise for us luckily. I liked the kitchen corner. We bought a wine in advance and enjoyed that bottle sitting on the sofa and we listened some songs on TV. (Please clean regularly the equipment in the cupboard as the wine glasses were quiet dusty) I liked the branded soap, body wash too. The bed was great! The pillow was so comfortable. It was cold and rainy but i am sure an other time we could enjoy the lovely balcony as well. The breakfast was delicious with fresh juice and everything. The cappuccino tasted very well. I was very happy 😊 Compliment to the kind receptionist. I liked him too. Bonus: personal letter in the room when we arrived. It was a little extra that made me thing I am a valued guest here. Thank you.
Though we did not spend much time in the hotel room, overall our stay was enjoyable. The hotel was in a great location for getting downtown in Budapest, and pretty accessible from tram. This hotel is definitely worth a 4 bubble rating, but I had to give it 3 just because the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked. It wasn't gross or anything like that, but if they had spent 5 more minutes cleaning it before I got there I wouldn't have noticed. The rest of the hotel was very clean, so I assume this was just an anomaly.
We had a big room (a suite really) with self catering facilities such as fridge, cooker, kettle etc and all the crockery. Very clean and well decorated with a small balcony to sit out on if the weather had been better. The breakfast room is rather tight for space. There are just about enough tables but little room to move around them or at the buffet area. However there is a pretty good selection of food available but they need to keep an eye on food running out as a number of items were very low or we took the last one and they weren't replaced while we were there (may have been after we left breakfast area). The scrambled egg in particular seemed to take and age to be replaced. There is just one lift and for some reason the cleaning staff and their trolleys managed to monopolize its use during the breakfast period when all the residents wanted access. We were on the 6th floor but luckily are fit enough take the stairs. Other people had a very long wait. However all in all a good hotel for the price we paid.
A great location. 15 minutes on the metro to almost anywhere in Budapest. The rooms are large and the beds super comfy. Turn right when going out of the hotel and it's a 4 min walk to the metro. Turn left and you are only 2 mins to a couple of good restaurants and bars. Next to these is a good sized shopping centre. Breakfast is only average but everything else was great.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We were given a superior single bedroom apartment on the 7th floor, with views out towards the Liberty Statue. The apartment was wonderful, very clean and had everything we could possibly needed. The staff were extremely helpful and no request was too much. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. Both my wife and I would have no hesitation going back to the Fraser Residence.
The hotel was in a great place with restaurants and a shopping mall a within 400 yards with only a 1 1/2 miles to the centre which was lovely walk or you could bus, hop on hop off or train. The apartment itself was spacious, clean with a lovely balcony to sit on and chill. i would highly recommend the Fraser residence to anyone who visits Budapest and it was one of the only places i looked at that offers breakfast in the cost.
- the residence is in a very nice location, near the train station, and Shopping mall. - the rooms are clean. - breakfast is fine - the Staff are very helpful and friendly - nice residence - recommendable to friends and family
Can't praise this place enough! Very impressed with the cleanliness and the reception staff were really helpful. Room and facilities were great too. A little way out of the centre but plenty of train links and not a bad walk.
Stayed for 3 nights with breakfast in a deluxe studio. The room was very spacious with a nice sized balcony and small kitchenette. (We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed to have decent facilities) The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was a basic continental style and enough to set you up for the day. The hotel lobby/reception is quite small but the staff were friendly and helpful. It's about 25-30 min walk to the centre or you can use the underground. There are 2 stations within a few minutes of the hotel and the public transport is very good. I would stay here again.
