Stayed for one night on business. Nice cosy room with all the mod cons. Room safe,shower/bath,Kettle plus tea/coffee,Fridge,Air con,Tv. Complimentary free water in rooms. Restaurant serves Breakfast which consists the usual cereals,cooked breakfast,meats,tea/coffee/juices,fruits,yoghurt,toast and Pastries. Evening meal was a mixed all you can eat buffet. Within 10 minutes walk there is a Waitrose,Asda,Next,Frankie And Bennys, TGI Fridays and a cinema-so there is plenty to do. There is a bus stop outside the cinema/main entrance to the hotel. Park and Ride in Waitrose car park if you want to leave the car at the hotel. Within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. My room faced the M40 motorway,but the noise was very minimal and undisturbing. Overall a very good enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Attended here for a recent course & have to say was a little disappointed . The room we were in was ok , however instructor couldn’t get the projector to show on full screen. Went into the bathrooms to find no paper towels in the machine. When we were due a coffee break coffee machine not working & no cups . Think this was fixed but not by the time I had to return from break . Lunch was ok if a little processed . Found it hard to concentrate in the afternoon due to large amount of noise coming from outside the room . What I didn’t like was having to walkthrough clouds of cigarette smoke on leaving the hotel . Despite signs saying no smoking crowds of people outside the reception smoking . Not a good look !!!
Hotel looks nice, it seems like it must have been refurbished recently. Rooms are ok size, clean and well organized. My room was with motorway view :-) but there was no noise during the night. Breakfasts are slightly better than British standard, with some fresh fruits available. Obviously standard British breakfast is available as well.
Spent 3 nights at the holiday inn on a block printing course, my friend and I went a day early and shared a room for a night then I moved to one of the disability room, I cannot fault either of them, the disability room was very spacious the hostel was very clean and warm the staff are A1 very polite and helpful, the you receptionist even sorted my sat nav out for me, the voice had gone very quite which she sorted in a few minutes. The food that we payed for on our first evening was very good served on hot plates and was very good. The food on the course was rather repedative and not so good as the bar meals but I’m sure the hotel catered to the course remit. I would have no problem recommending the holiday in really had a good stay .
Stayed a couple of weekends ago and the hotel is looking great, refurb lovely, great decor in rooms, staff were particularly great starting from Sarita on breakfast, an asset to the hotel, not only very helpful and kind to me but to other guests as well, aleays with a genuine smile and interest. Mihaela on check out was very efficient and friendly.
As last minute bookings go I usually find I make the wrong choice. I arrived here 3 hours after making an online booking and my room was ready and perfect. The reception staff were helpful and allowed me to check in early, the room was beautiful - clean fresh comfortable and well equipped, the bar and restaurant were comfortable although maybe a little pricey. Would I return - Definitely
I run Dressmaking Courses / Workshops and one of my venues is The Holiday Inn at High Wycombe. I can't fault the detail that the staff go into to make my meetings there a huge success. I use The Redgrave Suite which is perfect in size and location giving immediate access to the car park via the double doors. The refreshment facilities are excellent with a never-ending supply of any type of refreshment you'd like along with fresh fruit, seeds and nuts. Lunch is always a big hit - very nicely served on white tablecloths - always a winner for me. The quantity and quality of the lunch is always commented on by my colleagues in the group. I feel I must mention on this occasion - 10 February - my contact with the in-house team member. This was Oscar who was so pleasant and helpful - it would seem that nothing was too much trouble for him. He's obviously been trained well by the Events people - I deal with Alfonso in the main and Charlotte. So, for me, The Holiday Inn has it all - thank you.
Been to a few Holiday inns around the country, so thought I knew what to expect. Not impressed by this one though. Some staff were rude, not just to me but their overall attitude towards guests. The room was basic to say the least, I know I didn't pay a fortune but the room is around half as good as in a Premier Inn which is around the same price. Food was dreadful, so went out the second night. Unfortunately this place will always be busy, so they don't really need to worry about guests.
I have visited this hotel twice for business in 2017, I felt the rooms were very dated, marked and generally horrendous! I have had a complaint or two in 2017 regarding the room and food! I am a spire member so I stay in various holiday inns around the country and I have to say this one was my least favourite. However- the room I have stayed in this weekend is outstanding! Incredibly fresh! The bed is amazing, the decor is great! The simple thing about the tv on the wall is 100% improved - guys you have done amazing! I just hope people who book executive rooms look after what we have in the rooms to make them last. The room was impeccably clean when I arrived - my only minor thing is more towels please! One small towel and one small hand towel for three days / two nights just isn’t enough especially in this cold weather! My only complaint ( I didn’t bother complaining in house ) is the food! It was lovely except I ordered garlic bread with cheese and the pic is what I had delivered! I didn’t touch it so a waste of money! Nevertheless 100% improvement guys! Well done.
Not one of the best of the Holiday Inn chain. The room was previously used by a smoker which tainted the room. The layout is a bit characterless with long corridors. Fittings were standard and working but clearly the hotel is always full in view of its location so a request to change room was out of the question. Not a hotel I would choose for a personal visit to the area.
