We stayed in room 309 which was lovely. The bed was very comfy and huge! The bathroom was clean and well stocked with the little extras that make a difference (shower cap, comb, shaving kit, toothbrush, sewing kit). We had a meal in the restaurant and Hannah looked after us well, very friendly and helpful. Overall the staff were excellent and we would stay again.

Beautiful hotel. The food is very over priced for something basic and clearly bought frozen and reheated. Don't eat in the restaurant.

Beautiful manor house style building in vast and lush parkland. Rather tired in parts but still has that stately feel about it - especially the sitting/lounge area. Winding drive up to parking and reception rather potholed. Good breakfast variety and freshness. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Big rooms but en suite rather dated. That said it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, the staff are very helpful and friendly, but the hotel is let down a bit by needing to be renovated in places. The dinner and breakfast were great. Our original “superior” room was large, but very tired. The radiator was stuck on, and it was a really hot day. The reception staff promptly moved us to what was actually a better more modern room and thoughtfully compensated us. The hotel could be a very classy venue if the hotel management invested more in the decor and upkeep of the place.

We had a nice reception, and help with carrying our luggage up all the steep stairs. The room is well presented and clean, the bathroom however needed a refurb. It looked doudy and in need of repair. Ok for one night, not for proper showers though.
