I was due to attend a lunchtime function at the Marriott City Hotel. Although car parking was being provided at the venue, problems experienced last year meant that I decided to stay over the night at the Future Inn which included free parking at the Cabot Circus multi storey car park. The cost for the stay was £66 including the car park (through would have cost £18. Breakfast cost £10 per person but was excellent, particularly the pork sausage. An excellent mattress resulted in a good night's sleep and the walk in shower gave a refreshing start to the day. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Bristol.

The hotel is perfectly placed if you are planning a shopping trip in Bristol, being right beside Cabots Circus. A real bonus is the free parking in the adjacent multi storey car park for the duration of your stay. Staff are very pleasant and helpful although they appear a bit overstretched at times. Great stay though.

We’ve just come home from our 4th Christmas shopping trip staying at the Futures Inn. It’s perfect for us - right next to House of Fraser and all the food outlets at Cabot circus. Free parking and the breakfast is very nice!

Room itself was very pleasant & clean- no complaints all. The milk in the room was off and had to be discarded along with the tea bags. I went down for an evening meal and ordered straight away. After waiting 45 minutes and no sign of a meal coming, I gave up, went to reception cancelled the meal and walked out...not good

A very central location with the Cabot Circus car park very convenient and free. Reception staff were well trained and happy to book taxis. A clean, good sized room with comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast was well cooked with a wide choice available. A great destination for a family get together. We would book again.

Booked here due to fab location opposite the shopping centre and glad we did. Good hotel with all the amenities you need for a couple of nights. Stayed with 2 other friends and we all liked it. Staff nice although a little slow at serving in the bar....just a small thing but could be easily sorted. Beds comfortable and room very clean. Maids came in daily and left it like new. Parking is free which was brilliant as we ended up walking around everywhere and could leave the car without thinking about it. A great pick if you want to do some shopping and sightseeing in Bristol.

So I don't think you will find a hotel with more comfy beds. And being next to Cabot Circus car park makes it very easy to find if you're driving. In fact the free parking is in Cabot circus (which isn't well publicised). We had a double room and at last minute had to arrange for the sofa bed to be made up for a couple friends, and the room was more than adequate for all 4 of us. My only criticism is the front desk staff. When I phoned in about the extra guests I was told of the extra charge, which when I checked in I asked if I could pay, but was told my room was book WITH extra hurts and no extra charge. But when j checked out I was told I had an extra charge to pay. Rather inconsistent. But the hotel itself is clean, well maintained and comfy. And I would still recommend it for weekends away. The rooms are massive, big modern telly, nice strong showers (I like a good shower) and very comfy bed. Coupled with free parking, which is rare in Bristol.

Just back from Bristol chose this as a location for visit Bath Christmas Markets. The hotel is in an excellent location across the road from Cabot Shopping centre. Wish we had more time to explore the shops as they were amazing such a choice. We arrived at hotel late on a Friday evening our check in experience was excellent fast and efficient. There was a good atmosphere in the hotel and despite party nights being on both Friday and Saturday night we didn't hear any noise. Reception staff were very helpful and on both nights the bar staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Good points first: Excellent location for visiting or shopping in Bristol. Nicely furnished rooms with good provision for the traveller ie hairdryer, safe, ironing board and iron and bottled water in the room with proper glasses and an ice bucket. Friendly and helpful staff. Great showers, large with great water pressure and hot. Not so good points: I thought the mattress was far too soft but another couple thought it was quite comfortable. We both agreed though that the pillows were too big and hard and a bit lumpy. We appreciate it may not be the hotel's responsibility but there were people rough sleeping in the passageway at the side of the hotel to the car park. My elderly mother was with us and felt quite intimidated by them and had to go the long way around to the car park to get something from the car. Also, when we all went to the car park in the morning one of them was urinating up a wall while a lady and her two young children were walking past. I hope the hotel read this and take steps to move these people on as it is not fair on guests to have to feel this way.

We were a party of 4 people on business. I feel bad leaving a poor review as clearly looking at other reviews other people don't feel the same way. The good bits are that the room, reception staff, quality of breakfast and location are all good for the money. Parking isn't ideal - multi storey at Cabot Circus - but its ok given the location of the hotel being very central. The awful part was that the bar staff have no clue and the bar manager didn't seem to be much better. An almost empty bar resulted in me standing at the bar for around 10 minutes to buy 3 drinks. The staff have no care in the world if they just go slow or do something else while you wait etc etc. I couldn't believe how long it took a barmaid to serve the people at the bar when I arrived. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Then she chit chatted to the bar manager before serving me. Clearly the bar manager also had better things to do fiddling around with the till rather than serving me too. Then the barmaid stopped and chatted to another customer in the middle of serving me. May seem like little things to some but this is immensely frustrating wasting your time as if you have nothing better to do on a night out. We went out to eat as thought better of eating in the hotel and then had a drink in the bar when we got back. Same treatment yet again. Which leads me to the next point. Off you go to breakfast in the morning and you are greeted (or rather, pounced on) with "Room Number?" and that's it. Obviously you seat yourself wherever you like then? Not a normal hotel reception at breakfast which might have been "Good morning sir. May I take your room number please? Please sit anywhere that you like and help yourself to our buffet." We arrived at breakfast at 9.30. Breakfast quality was good apart from eggs that had clearly been there an age. Breakfast finishes at 10am. At 10am precisely .... whoosh .... curtain pulled across everything and its goodbye from them. No courteous "would you like anything further from the breakfast buffet before we clear it away?". So in summary its generally a good hotel based on the things mentioned above but the service is just terrible and frankly, insulting to be treated that way. The management clearly cant be that good and have no sense of staff training I would guess. Maybe they just have fast staff turnover and therefore training is ineffective or something but high staff turnover is clearly a management issue also. Hopefully this review may give them some good guidance for improvement. I could turn things around in a week if I was the manager. It has all the potential to being a really good hotel and being no doubt much more successful by increasing revenues in the bar and restaurant areas. To be clear, the reception staff were good. Would I go again? I doubt it unless the price was so attractive that I might give it one more try.
