clean and pleasant with a good breakfast. Very hard to find d the entrance as it is labelled with another hotel. Do not believe free parking as it is 40 dollars.dollar's I found the staff very pleasant and helpful throughout. Not bad value for the area.
The Ibis at Nudgee is a budget motel, without particularly looking "budget". It is clean, well appointed, has shower accompaniments, very comfortable beds with really fresh linen. The staff could not do enough for me given I came in after midnight. It is very close to the airport, and a cheap taxi ride. Also airport shuttles call into the Ibis so I was able to be picked up the next morning and taken straight home. The breakfast - at $9.00 - was well worth it and nicely presented.
Nice motel. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Basic continental breakfast for $9. Plenty of evening machines for snacks, drinks and some hot food to put in microwave. And a bar open for a few hours at night is good. Wouldn’t stay here for more than a night as rooms are small, but for the price for a short stopover, it provides everything we needed before flying out international
Have stayed in Ibis budget in other locations but this was probably the most budget of them all. There was no lift (and we had 2 x 25kg suitcases) which my daughter and I had to lug up the stairs at midnight. The room we had smelt like a bar the morning after the night before. However the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. We were only there 5 hours so we really just needed a comfortable bed which is what we got.
Pros: - the price - I paid $111 for a room. Even though this is cheap, I think the room was really worth around $85. - airport shuttle (though I didn't use this in the end) Cons: - room had a musty smell and is right next to a major intersection -very small - unforgiving cancellation policy - I accidentally booked this rather than the Ibis Brisbane Airport Hotel (which is right by the airport - precisely why I wanted it). I called and emailed straight away but was told they couldn't cancel. Whilst I understand this is policy, I felt it a bit stingy they didn't given it was a clear mistake due to almost identically priced hotels, and I ring immediately. Summary: It's a very budget hotel in a noisy spot but if you just need a place for the night it'll do. Unfortunately though, its not actually right by the Airport so keep that in mind - you will have to uber or bus to the airport.
Smaller than other Ibis rooms I've stayed in. It's located in an industrial area 5 mins drive from the airport. $AUS22.30 by taxi. There is a takeaway close by (2 mins walk) which has all day breakfasts ($6.90) from 5am to 2pm. Has a big menu but nothing flash. It's a $10 taxi ride to the nearest shopping centre which has a food court. Ibis supply good lists of restaurants who deliver (at a cost) to the hotel. There are food dispensing machines at the hotel and a small selection of alcoholic drinks. There's a separate laundry down stairs with ironing facilities. A small eating area with TV. This is good if you are just transiting and need a one night stay. The shuttle (which only operates part of the day 4pm to 10pm and part of the morning) cost us $5 ($2.50 ea) to the international airport. I know there is 9am shuttle which we took. We arrived midday and were unable to use their shuttle to get here.
Something affordable that had a clean bed for the night and close to the airport. The hotel may be a little dated, the standard queen bed room was cosy but we were here for one night arriving late and leaving early so we didn’t need frills and fan fare. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is real coffee.... win win Isn’t too much near by of a night time of you don’t have a car but the night we were there, there was a mobile wood fired pizza van serving outside.
Just a small to spend a night, we were in a flight early next morning. Basic room, but hey who needs more? The people at the hotel were friendly and always keen to help. Well what else can I say. My head was on my trip overseas and didn't want to miss any flight. What tips can I give? Mmmmm ok, if you are having a flight in the wee hours of the morning it is always helpful to book a hotel close to the airport to avoid any delay in taxis. Take the Shuttle Bus that the hotel offers for $5 per room and you are all set in.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Ibis Budget. The service is excellent, reception staff are always welcoming & because we have bike bags the staff have allocated larger rooms to accommodate our extra baggage. We appreciate that. Breakfast is very good & the rooms always clean & tidy. The shuttle drivers are excellent & the availability of this service to & from the airport is a major reason for choosing the hotel.
We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff who told us of the shuttle to the airport, and the eating options for the evening meal. The room was clean and small but had all the amenities required for an over night stay and early exit to the airport. We were very impressed by the Wood-fired Pizza truck just outside the door - dinner solved, for us and many others. There were also vending machines with snack meals and drinks. The tables and chairs in what I believe is the breakfast area, were well used by the evening diners. Yes, we would stay here again.
