Stayed here for a couple of nights great hotel easy to get around and walk to the river. On arrival we had 2 queen beds......was lush. Can't fault it at easy and close to restaurants and bars and all other attractions which is great
The best part about the Ibis is the location. It is right next t the CBD area of Brisbane, 2 minutes walking distance from the river, and about 10 minutes walking distance from the south bank. Great cafes and bakeries near by for Breakfast, and good food options. The front desk was helpful and quick enough....although expect no other service. They charge a safety deposit...do ask for it back while checking out as it is not automatically refunded. The breakfast menu was not that great for the price. There are better options right outside the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very clean.I would definitely stay here again. Free Wifi available.
Excellent experience, good value, stayed there 3 times now and I am happy each time Close to CBD, shops, good size rooms, good breakfast, free internet. Safe and clean. I am going to stay there again. Service and staff excellent as well thanks again
It's located very conveniently to anything in the CBD and cultural venues in South Bank but that's about it. Very dated inside, the TV positioned on an angle so you have to be a contortionist to watch it. Strong tobacco smoke smell on my non-smoking floor. The bar was deserted at 8 pm while it closes (supposedly) at 9 pm. Wouldn't stay there again
We booked into this hotel as a special treat for a Reverse Fire experience. The position of our room for the purpose of viewing the fireworks wasn't perfect. The room we clean but the space was restricted and no real cupboard or hanging space There wasn't a light switch close to the bed. The breakfast room was chaotic and not recommended. Our main complaint was that we booked the room at a premium price and found it later on booking.com heavily discounted. I contacted the hotel and explained I was a member of Accor and found the room much cheaper than my member price. They wouldn't even match the lower price and refused my request to cancel the booking. Needless to say I won't be going back and have not renewed my Accor membership.
Rooms fine ,Bar service pathetic, Meals Ok , No Bar or Restuarant over weekend unacceptable. The location was very good and the housekeeper was brillant, and the breakfast service was quite ok but the hotel was below par compared to other Ibis hotels stayed in.
Showing a bit of wear around the edges but good clean rooms, nice restaurant and close to many things. You must park off premises and the hotel has a special rate. You can include breakfast buffet if you wish.
Hi - stayed here for one night (Saturday), Rooms were clean and tidy. Beds (twin room) comfortable. Complimentary water was nice. The hotel props needs a bit of paint here and there and my 5 star review is for the overall experience - it's not a 5 star hotel - but, it was cheap, the rooms were a good size and nice, the location is close to town and Southbank, the guest relations people were all super nice!
Have been staying for many many years. Approx 20. (Work and personal.) Have to go to sister hotel for breakfast, bed was broken, toothpaste down the front of the sink. No soap or shower gell, had a foldup portable bed cluttering the room when we booked a week earlier for 2 people in one bed, so we didn't need 3 beds. Asked for early check in when we booked. On arrival at around 11:15am a rude receptionist lady wouldn't even look to see if it was ready. She was also very rude to the customer in front of us, he only wanted some simple advice.
Stayed 2 nights. On arrival at twilight the receptionist asked if we would like to book and pay for breakfast as well as the bond at the same time - yes we say. On arrival at breakfast next morning the restaurant staff asked for our room number but it was not on their sheet of paper. We said we had booked and paid the night before when we arrived. She said she would sort it out and to go ahead and have breakfast. Great, we thought it all sorted but come next morning and arriving at restaurant for breakfast the same thing happened - we were not on her sheet of paper. She said she would sort it and for us to go ahead with b'fast. As we were having b'fast she came up and said reception had no record of us organizing/paying for it. We said we would go to reception and sort it. This ruined our b'fast. When we went to main reception she looked back and found we had paid for the bond plus 4 b'fasts - very annoying!! Why was this not sent to the restaurant . On a plus the room was clean & tidy and the best shower so far.
