Stayed on level 12 for 10 days on business. Riley at front desk was very helpful and all other staff were good too. Pretty standard type of room with comfortable twin doubles and clean, no nonsense bathroom. Room was lacking safe facilities but I could gave asked for storage at front desk. Overall a very comfortable stay.
Rooms were okay, a bit musty and bathroom could do with a revamp. No on-site parking, have to park a block away and walk as well as pay $36 per day which should be advised prior to booking. Rooms were cleaned daily and linen changed so hats off to cleaning staff.
When we travel we like to stay in boutique like hotels. However, as we were in Brisbane solely to go to the restaurant "Public" across the road we chose the Ibis for ease of access. Very happy with our choice and would stay again. As I'd already called the hotel I knee to drive into the carpark a street away. A short walk to the hotel. (There is also an offroad area you could use if you wished to drop off bags/check in first). The receptionist (a trainee) was most polite and helpful. The room was fine for purpose, including complimentary water. Plenty of wardrobe space. Not great lighting for doing make up in bathroom, but there was a full length mirror (also handy) outside bathroom which was better. There were tissues and toiletries and even cotton buds and cotton wool. Due to a very slight mixup at check in (readily and quickly rectified) we were surprised and pleased to receive a complementary bottle of wine - thanks! We didn't have breakfast there but at $15 a person very reasonable - we chose a local cafe that cost more for not that much food. Carparking cost from memory about $38 - would have cost us $97 if we had done it ourselves! Even more helpful, parking is for 24 hours from first parking, so even after check out we could have come and gone several times to use the carpark up to the end of that 24 hour period.
Unfortunately when we arrived an idiot on a bike yelled and screamed at our driver and us but soon the manager sorted the situation. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfortable, had a great night's sleep actually better than in my own bed back home in Tassie. Great to be able to adjust temperature of our room. could have done with some extra towels and facewasher as there were 2 of us and only 1 washer. Amenities good, needed extra milk and sugar tho. there was no outside noise from our room which was great. free and paid wifi & internet. Recommend hotel, close to Queen St Mall & shopping precinct etc walking distance but taxi to Southbank Casino area.. Hotel dining room available if you don't want to go elsewhere. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.
Stayed one night, was not expecting much considering the amount paid, but was thrilled with the room we were given overlooking the Brisbane River.. Close to ferry, close to South Bank, right in the city etc .. dream location for a great night in Brisbane .. Breakfast was also included which did actually come in handy.. but coffee was not the best.. but, considering the amount paid for the night.. who is wingeing? not me ..
For a budget hotel it was ablut what you exspect. It had a nice bed and linnen. Fresh smell. For its price it had quite a great position in the city. Good service. One small thing the grout in the bathroom could do with a redo but asided that it was a great stay for a budget hotel.
Myself and three others stayed at the Ibis recently. We shared a double room with queen beds, it was petite but practical. $18 for the buffet breakfast was worth it; the pancake machine was what sold us! The ibis is in a fantastic location, we walked to Suncorp stadium and also crossed the bridge to Southbank. Only negatives are the fact there is only one staff member on at a time - even in busy check in/out periods. And the parking for the hotel is a street away. Would definitely book at Ibis again 😊👌🏼
Ibis Hotel Brisbane I found through Trip Advisor when looking for a hotel in the vicinity of the Queensland Art Museum. Check in was a poor experience. Only one receptionist on duty who was slow and at best one could describe as dim. My colleague arrived some hours before me and had already checked in. I enquired her room number and was told 'no one here by that name'. Didn't believe the receptionist so messaged my colleague who advised she was in room 723 - defies belief that hotels don't know the names of their guests despite their asking for passports on check in. My room was smaller than both my colleagues but I must say was adequate, tastefully decorated and came with a nice bath tub. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was reasonable. Location of the hotel is good for the museum complex, whilst on the other side of the river, can be accessed by the footbridge over the river adjacent to the hotel. Wifi was not working - hotel said it 'had some issues with the wifi'. Free local newspapers. Check out was more efficient and quicker - a different staff member. Probably would look for an alternative hotel on my next visit.
School holidays and major city events at Suncorp Stadium. This is a perfect venue to stay. Good reception staff. Very genuine and helpful. Rooms very clean and appropriately appointed. The big surprise was the Ibis Kitchen which had a fantastic buffet for breakfast. The kitchen also does evening meals. However didnt get to try them. This is a good and reasonably priced hotel in the city. I will be back at some stage in the near future. Thank you.
Good location near cbd, very clean, staff friendly & efficient our room had a view of the river & a glimpse of South Bank. Restaurant at hotel excellent breakfast & delicious evening meal. Would definitely stay here again.
