My family and I stayed here for a couple nights over spring break and really had a great time. And this property is easily accessible avoiding the traffic on the strip, but is less than a half mile from the strip. Honestly, it is VERY good location. The room was newly renovated as was the entire hotel. The staff was overall very good, even gave a great dinner recommendation one night. Cleaning staff was always very friendly. The only, albeit very minor, concern was that the breakfast staff seemed a bit short with some customers. It was very busy, so I totally understand if they were overwhelmed, so not a big deal to me, just seemed a little off at times. Also, I did notice some of the new carpentry work was a bit shoddy. For example, our door was a bit crooked, it had a large space at the top right, so I think folks in the hallway could probably hear in our room. In fact, I thought it was open when we first got there. But, it locked fine, just off center. I told my wife it looks like what it would if I installed it. She didn't disagree. :) Also, with the renovations comes the new Marriott "floor flooding" showers, which I have experienced at many locations. Inexplicably, the designers only put a half wall, which leaves one half open. The water splashes all over the floor and soaks any towels you put down. Again, not really a big deal, more of an annoyance. And, this is not an issue this hotel would control. Over the last few years I have spent about 50 nights per year on Marriott properties both domestic and overseas. So, I have seen a lot of the hotels. I would recommend this one and would definitely consider coming back next time we are in town!
My husband and I wanted to just relax before our conference the next few days. This Marriott Hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. We were invited to the social event that evening. We had chicken sandwiches with all the fixings, potato chips, and a spinach salad! everything was very good.
We spent the day in Branson and decided to stay at this Marriott. It's an older hotel, but clean. We did find a pair of socks in our room. The room had the smell of old stale cigarettes. I would stay here again.
My husband, teen daughter, her teen friend, and I took a trip to Branson, so I booked the Residence Inn for a number of reasons. First, we usually book either a Marriott or Hilton brand hotel because we have found them to, for the most part, live up to their reputation of excellence. Second, I wanted a place that we could cook our own meals so that we wouldn't have to spend the money at a restaurant every night. Thirdly, I wanted to teen girls to have their own private space and bathroom. So, I booked a 2 bed/2 bath room at the Residence Inn. The price, being February, was reasonable, and no more than if we had stayed elsewhere and booked 2 adjoining rooms. The room was spacious, very clean, and the beds very comfortable. The common living room and kitchen areas gave us plenty of room to spend time together. The wood burning fireplace (which surprised me) added a wonderful atmosphere and warmth to the unit. We could spend time together, but then we had our privacy and the girls had theirs for bedtime and whenever necessary. The hotel offered a decent breakfast each morning and we were able to make dinner in our room when we returned for the night. We did encounter a couple minor hiccups during our stay. The ice machine in our refrigerator did not work, but the front desk brought us up a bag of ice when we notified them of the problem. On our last night, the heating/ac to the room froze up. You could hear the system shutting off and on, but there was no air flow into the room at all. The room started to get really warm and stuffy. There was no maintenance available that time of night. The front desk staff did offer to move us to a different room, but we declined. We did not want to have to load up all our suitcases, toiletries, and the food and drink in the refrigerator since we were leaving in the morning. The windows did open slightly, and it was just cool enough outside to make it comfortable enough to sleep. Upon checkout the next morning, we were compensated for our inconvenience. That was an unexpected surprise. The girls enjoyed spending time in the pool and hot tub and really enjoyed having their privacy. The staff was very friendly during our stay. We would stay here again.
Took my family to Branson during the Christmas season and was treated by the best customer service employees in the business. Coffee was always fresh, morning breakfast full and tables cleaned regularly. The service at the front desk by Lais Revis and Tammy Hathcoat outstanding, always smiling and willing to help with any problems. The room was big and clean. Will stay with all of you again. Thanks.
We are Marriott people. My first choice is always Marriott and the Branson Residence Inn is a place we have stayed at many times. Good things: They have a great staff that is friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed and you can leave them in the room unattended! I have found many hotels will let you bring a dog but that isn't very helpful if the dog can't stay in the room when we go out to dinner or other events. Great location. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The bad: Shoddy remodel work in places. Nothing major, just little things that they didn't finish out as nice as I would expect. The grounds around the facility were trashy! That was the biggy. In one area there was broken tile, electrical bits, and other debris that never got cleaned up from the remodel. On the other side the dumpster was sitting out of the "dumpster fence" because there was trash piled up where it would normally sit and trash scattered all over that side of the grounds. The main entrance was clean and kept up but beyond that things had been neglected (nicest word I can think of). Anyone who only went in and out the front might never notice but when you have a dog to walk the outer areas become important too. And finally, that half shower door is a dumb idea! Water goes everywhere and one side of you always has a chill. So, will we stay there again? Yes. But, I expect better from Marriott.
This place is awesome. We had the 2 BR/2bath room. Kitchen was handy. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. Kids had fun sleeping on sofa pull out. My bed was comfy also. Hubs liked all the TVs. Breakfast was plentiful. The two ladies serving were nice, quick and very helpful. I don't know why someone in another review thought "hun" is a bad thing. It is a sweet thing. People are easy offended these days. I will definitely be back. Oh and kids loved the pool. Hubs and I liked hot tub. My mom and her smoker friend loved the fire pit area!! I rarely give 5 stars. I guess if price was a little lower, it would be a 5!
Visited Branson recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn Branson. Staff went above and beyond. Breakfast fit my needs with a lighter side or protein options. Recently renovated room had a clean, fresh, modern look. They have TV options and Internet TV, too, so you can stream your favorite shows. Having a kitchen was great. Location fantastic. Staff was superb. Will stay here again.
We had a great stay, very clean room and comfortable bed. The only interesting thing about room 222 was that there was no door on the shower. You literally just walked right in behind the other half panel of glass. At first I thought that maybe this was possibly a fancy new European design. I then turned the tv on on they were showing other pictures of the hotel, and low and behold the other pictures had shower doors!
We were here for one night only and I can't say that we were overly impressed. The room was clean, bed comfortable. The shower didn't drain and it sprays out on the floor. There was no shower gel, lotion and only two sets of towels- nothing extra. Breakfast was just okay as well. The sausge was very spicey, the eggs were powder based. They were warm though. The decaf coffee was basically just coffee flavored water. With the great amount of lodging available in this area I would think you would want to go a step above, but not here. About 5 hours after we checked out we got a call from the front desk on our cell phone saying that we had not checked out of our room and we had left stuff in our room. We turned in the key to the front desk at 8:30 that morning and we received a bill under our door. Nothing was left in the room we checked out of. Definitely not good business practice. Would definitely not stay here again.
