Our room was very clean. We arrived and the staff advised us that they were serving complimentary food and we could get something to eat till 7:30 PM. Becky was our housekeeper and she did a great job throughout our stay. When we left, I asked the front desk person (Eileen) if she could help us with a reservation that I was having trouble with. She got the job done..we loved the staff at this hotel. We will be back next year for our family reunion and this is where we will stay. The beds were comfortable and we were close to everything without all the traffic of Branson.
Stayed 2 nights in 2 bed 2 bath suite for 6 people. Room was so so, clean but not the cleanest. Some crumbs left on chair by previous guest. As was pointed out in other reviews, doors not closing properly as they are not aligned. Grout was coming out of the tiles just by walking on it, at one point I even stepped on one. On second night, there were only 4 towels and no refill of shampoo by housekeeping (mind you there were SIX people in our room), as was booked. Went to front desk to ask--all the bath towels are GONE and are still in laundry at 830pm??!! Had to get towels (smaller ones) from the swimming pool. TV didn't work, I had to reset the set top box on two TVs. All phones in the rooms didn't have dial tone--for all the problems we encountered I had to use my mobile phone to call front desk at least 5 times in the 2 nights we stayed. I reported the phones at least 3 times to two different people and nothing was done. Wifi connection didn't work the first night until I was given an access code--was told "too many people connecting". I expected better amenities from a Marriott property, especially for a premium price paid. The check in lady was nice, but the check out lady wasn't at all interested in our stay and seemed in a hurry to just check us out without asking anything about our stay--there was no one behind me nor a line--NO ONE. Would think about other choices next time we come back to Branson.
Hotel is built with a bunch of rooms around a basketball court where they let kids scream and yell until 10:00 pm while adults stand around and drink and/or scream and yell with them. There has to be civilized properties around here somewhere. Dont waste your time with the front desk either. Check in was a bunch of complaining about needing to hire someone else because two can’t cut it and when you ask about the noise, you are basically laughed at. 97 nights in a Marriott property last year. Might need to change. Room was nice, air worked great, everything was clean. Just not a peaceful set up.
I was willing to stay here based on preference for Marriott brands and Residence Inn in particular in spite of the mediocre reviews. I figured most of the bad ones were before or during the recent renovations, so I ignored them. The renovations are done but it is not impressive. When we entered the room it smelled. Old and musty like mold. The base of the toliet was dirty, there was a bottle of odor/stain remover on the kitchen table the floors are dirty, etc. Basically the surface has been cleaned but if you are a person who pays attention to details and knows what clean is you will feel more and more disgusted as you notice everything. The only thing that made it acceptable was the newness, but renovated doesnt equal clean. Speaking of renovations, they were poorly done. I could not close the doors between the bedroom and living area they are so misaligned. The front door to my room shows light through the top and bottom when closed, so much so when I came back to my room I thought I hadnt closed the door. I complained to the front desk and asked to be relocated to a new room if possible, but they are overbooked and it wasnt possible. I was told I can check out tomorrow and then be moved to a new room tomorrow night, but instead I just booked a new reservation and will be spending the rest of our vacation elsewhere. Nice folks at the front desk, but not nice enough to make up for a room that turns your socks brown when you walk around and smells like dirty feet. I expect better housekeeping from a Marriott. The overall presentation outside was also a little trashy; the grounds need to be cleaned up. Only reason we spent the one night is exhausted children and needed to research where to move to carefully so I get it right next time.
We stayed here on our resent trip to Branson. It was clean, the people working here are great. Our room was a one bedroom and we had plenty of room for the both of us. It was clean. The only thing we noticed that was wrong with the room was some poor remodeling. The contractor they used was not very good. The breakfast was very good every morning along with the people working it. Overall nice place to stay off the main road but close enough to get to it.
My family and I stayed here for a couple nights over spring break and really had a great time. And this property is easily accessible avoiding the traffic on the strip, but is less than a half mile from the strip. Honestly, it is VERY good location. The room was newly renovated as was the entire hotel. The staff was overall very good, even gave a great dinner recommendation one night. Cleaning staff was always very friendly. The only, albeit very minor, concern was that the breakfast staff seemed a bit short with some customers. It was very busy, so I totally understand if they were overwhelmed, so not a big deal to me, just seemed a little off at times. Also, I did notice some of the new carpentry work was a bit shoddy. For example, our door was a bit crooked, it had a large space at the top right, so I think folks in the hallway could probably hear in our room. In fact, I thought it was open when we first got there. But, it locked fine, just off center. I told my wife it looks like what it would if I installed it. She didn't disagree. :) Also, with the renovations comes the new Marriott "floor flooding" showers, which I have experienced at many locations. Inexplicably, the designers only put a half wall, which leaves one half open. The water splashes all over the floor and soaks any towels you put down. Again, not really a big deal, more of an annoyance. And, this is not an issue this hotel would control. Over the last few years I have spent about 50 nights per year on Marriott properties both domestic and overseas. So, I have seen a lot of the hotels. I would recommend this one and would definitely consider coming back next time we are in town!
My husband and I wanted to just relax before our conference the next few days. This Marriott Hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. We were invited to the social event that evening. We had chicken sandwiches with all the fixings, potato chips, and a spinach salad! everything was very good.
We spent the day in Branson and decided to stay at this Marriott. It's an older hotel, but clean. We did find a pair of socks in our room. The room had the smell of old stale cigarettes. I would stay here again.
My husband, teen daughter, her teen friend, and I took a trip to Branson, so I booked the Residence Inn for a number of reasons. First, we usually book either a Marriott or Hilton brand hotel because we have found them to, for the most part, live up to their reputation of excellence. Second, I wanted a place that we could cook our own meals so that we wouldn't have to spend the money at a restaurant every night. Thirdly, I wanted to teen girls to have their own private space and bathroom. So, I booked a 2 bed/2 bath room at the Residence Inn. The price, being February, was reasonable, and no more than if we had stayed elsewhere and booked 2 adjoining rooms. The room was spacious, very clean, and the beds very comfortable. The common living room and kitchen areas gave us plenty of room to spend time together. The wood burning fireplace (which surprised me) added a wonderful atmosphere and warmth to the unit. We could spend time together, but then we had our privacy and the girls had theirs for bedtime and whenever necessary. The hotel offered a decent breakfast each morning and we were able to make dinner in our room when we returned for the night. We did encounter a couple minor hiccups during our stay. The ice machine in our refrigerator did not work, but the front desk brought us up a bag of ice when we notified them of the problem. On our last night, the heating/ac to the room froze up. You could hear the system shutting off and on, but there was no air flow into the room at all. The room started to get really warm and stuffy. There was no maintenance available that time of night. The front desk staff did offer to move us to a different room, but we declined. We did not want to have to load up all our suitcases, toiletries, and the food and drink in the refrigerator since we were leaving in the morning. The windows did open slightly, and it was just cool enough outside to make it comfortable enough to sleep. Upon checkout the next morning, we were compensated for our inconvenience. That was an unexpected surprise. The girls enjoyed spending time in the pool and hot tub and really enjoyed having their privacy. The staff was very friendly during our stay. We would stay here again.
Took my family to Branson during the Christmas season and was treated by the best customer service employees in the business. Coffee was always fresh, morning breakfast full and tables cleaned regularly. The service at the front desk by Lais Revis and Tammy Hathcoat outstanding, always smiling and willing to help with any problems. The room was big and clean. Will stay with all of you again. Thanks.
