We arrived late afternoon, got our room, dropped off our stuff, and then headed to the event we planned to attend in Brainerd. Got back to the hotel late, but found the TV wasn't working. Staff responded to the issue right away and Jim, the maintenance man, ended up getting a new TV for our room. He did a great job, working quickly and efficiently to get the new TV hooked up. I don’t care for laminate flooring which our room had. I prefer carpet, but that’s just my personal preference. The hotel is being updated, but still has a ways to go. Overall, a good stay.

Perfectly reasonable motel. You get what you pay for.

The Brainerd Hotel is just your basic, low cost hotel/motel. The room was clean but there was nothing special about it. The breakfast that was included was below average.

The pictures in the description of the hotel are not accurate. It is dirty, dingy and a bit scary. My husband and I woke up stuck in the middle of the bed because there was NO support...terrible mattress. Won't ever ever ever go back. This is what happens when you go to the cheapest hotel you can find.

Aside from the one way only exits.... It was a great place!

This was a good place to stay for the money. The room was clean and pleasant and the staff were great. This obviously a former motel, my room had both a door to the parking lot and to the hallway. The room showed its age a bit (probably 1960s, 1970s), although it had obviously been updated. The hotel is located a mile or two south of downtown in the older area of town and to local places to eat (it's not on the more recently developed strip area on the west side of town with all its big box stores and chain restaurants).

Nothing special, but will work in a pinch. Marginal rooms, decent restaurant. Staff was friendly. Not a terrible value though.

It was a typical Minnesota evening. The roads were horrible and cars in the ditch every five miles. We drove with white knuckles for about 1 and 1/2 hours and got to the hotel at 10pm. The pool usually closes at 10, but Tom at the front desk said he would let us use the facilities, as we were VERY tense and needed the hot tub in a big way. Thanks staff! We had a great stay!

I I slep well food was good friendly people going back

Rooms aren't fancy but perfectly fine if you're looking for something clean, comfortable, roomy and quiet. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was outstanding. You get a choice of three complementary breakfasts with your room - or $2 off the regular menu. Waitress even offered to fill my coffee thermos before I left.

I have stayed at this hotel three times. Each time I go up to crosby to scuba dive. It is a great hotel, comfortable, clean, and a good deal. I was slightly disappointed that they cut out the continental breakfast, and instead offer a "complimentary breakfast", that is meager at best. But overall, I was pleased, and I plan on staying here again.

A very good experience. Friendly staff. My son loved the pool and spa. Quiet location.

If you have kids and want to just enjoy the pool, this is the hotel for you. However...for a couple getting away...not so much. No bar. Cafe only ok. Cleaning rags left in the room. Out away from town, so you can't walk anywhere. Oh well.

It was just a generic basic room. I found it a little expensive for the little it offered. However, it was a clean room. The pool and hot tub area needs some updating.

Watch your pricing for this hotel. Orbitz cost me more than if I had just directly made reservations. Hotel is older (old Ramada) but the staff was great and the bed one of the most comfortable that I have slept in.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME!! THE STAFF WAS GREAT. THE ROOMS WERE JUST RIGHT. OUR LITTLLE POOTLE LOVED IT TOO. wE WILL BE GOING BACK NEXT SUMMER. gREAT PLACE TO HAVE A SUMMER WEDDING.

The staff was wonderful --thought the pool could use some updating --our room smelled al ittle musty and the blanket had a cigerette burn in it --in a non smoking room that was not such a good thing --towels also smelled a little musty --dinner was not so great--my husg\band's dinner was luke warm --mine was fine - breakfast was excellent and complimentary.

This was just an overnight stay to take our son to camp. The stay was nice, the location was perfect and easy to find. For just being one night it was not bad.

we stayed here for a night away from home. it was a different experience for sure. the front desk lady that checked us in seemed to have better things to do. she didn't want to give any info on anything to do or places to go. she just said, i think there's brochures over there. the room key would not open the outside door by our room so we had to enter on the other end of the bldg. the halls smelled like cigarette smoke and sort of took your breathe away. the wall paper in the room was loose from the walls. the carpet was loose from the floor. the tables in the room had rings from former peoples cups and food leftover marks from not being washed recenly. the television had lines across the screen and snowy channels. i made the mistake of going swimming and noticed the pool had a large ring of filth around it. the man at the check out seemed to not care about any of the issues we had. i would recommend some new management for this place.

Nice room but disapointed hot tub was not working and that was one of the reason we picked this place. We did enjoy the pool.
