Good all around family resort. We booked a 1 bedroom lake view, first floor. Small kitchen, fireplace in the bedroom, patio doors to small deck. Kids were on pull out couch in living room. The south beach had good amenities, fire ring, chairs, paddle boat, paddle boards. Good sand for castle building. Down sides for me was the distance of the rooms, dining room, indoor pool, other facilities. Lots of stairs and walking, be prepared for walking and climbing stairs. I did find the elevator in the main lodge. Breakfast was large buffet at almost $20, as a 2 egg and toast morning person, I felt it was just too much. I would have preferred ordering individually

We stayed in March while they were in the middle of a huge renovation. Therefore it is best to make sure these rankings are properly framed. Our room was clean and spacious. We were however right by the entrance door from the parking lot and therefore had a LOT of noise when people were coming and going. It had a small deck but at 45 degrees with a wind off the lake, we did not sit on it! The renovation will be nice but we just wanted a place to stay for the night and it suited our needs just fine.
