Beautiful Area and great place for our dog to stay however rooms need updating - need adjustable shower head as I am only 5 feet tall and spray was in face and was unable to adjust. Staff was great - rooms need to be updated.

Felt more like car camping than staying at a hotel due to the community aspect of the facility and the proximity to Boulder Canyon/Creek. No A/C in the rooms, snug here or there, but top notch staff, gorgeous and quiet facility, so close to downtown yet felt like we were deep in the mountains. Would love to go back.

I chose to stay in hostel area but was not informed it would be myself with 3 other males. A female and or male should know these details Checked out the next day and female at desk was not friendly at all.

The Adventure Lodge was a very pleasant place to stay. It is only a few minutes from all Pearl St, where all the downtown action is.

Love this place! Just a few minutes from downtown Boulder. Our room was very clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. The ground are lovely with lights and a stream going through the property. Would be perfect for a wedding or group get together. Wide variety of accommodations to suit everyone from campsite, a bed in the hostel room, rooms with jacuzzis and a cottage. Can't wait to go back again !!

Cozy, clean, comfortable and relaxed. Very easy to get to pearl street. Lots of hiking trails close by.

Loved this place. Not far to town , but felt like we were in the country . Can't wait to go back.

Property is awesome for an extended stay due to the kitchen and the free laundry facility. It's under construction but still had much to offer. The only thing I didn't like we're people smoking pot right by my door and I have children. A designated pot smoking area or better enforcement of no smoking pot in hotels should be enforced. I would have the same complaint if a drunk guy was sitting by my door getting smashed. I am pro pot but constant exposure to my children is not ok.

A little further out from town but in a gorgeous setting. The owners seem passionate about what they are doing and have done a great job of turning an older motel into a hip adventure lodge. Still some upgrades to be done but our stay was comfortable, the room was clean (so important!) and the amenities were adequate. No cell phone reception for us but calls are free on the landline. Wifi worked great. I would definitely come back!

We were charged for our stay at the hotel so we ended up paying double.

I liked how it was secluded from the city but was still 7 minutes from all of the stuff we wanted to see. Super close to beautiful mountain scenery. NO CELL SERVICE, just a heads up. I did go through a third party website and booked the hotel and when I got there they double charged me. They did fix the problem within the hour. Just make sure if you are booking elsewhere that they know not to charge you twice!! Still a perfect weekend getaway.

This is a nice alternative to the chain hotels in Boulder. It's 10 minutes up Canyon Drive near good hiking and mountain biking trails. It's perfect in the summer because it's a bit cooler and it's very quiet.

Boulder Mountain Lodge is a great base for your Colorado adventures. You can hike, bike, climb, fish, tube, etc. all within minutes of the lodge. Rocky Mountain NP and Estes Park are within easy driving distance. When you are done with the great outdoors, Boulder is only 5 minutes away for shopping, dining and the arts. Or you can just relax with a book from the Lodge's library while watching hummingbirds flit over the burbling creek which runs through the property. The accomodations and grounds are basic but well-maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you need a minibar, high-speed internet or hermetically sealed climate control, stay elsewhere.

We had a great time here. We cooked steaks and corn on the cob over the hotel camp fire pit, and panned for gold in the river that runs directly out front. I even saw a deer! We were a short 5-minute drive from eating dinner in boulder, and a short scenic drive to Nederland as well. On the downside, I'd say that the beds are a bit hard, and could stand to be replaced, but overall we had a blast.

My girlfriend was a bit worried at first, but the place was quaint, staff was friendly and it was a short drive from Boulder. I would recommend for those who do not need heavy amenities or a 5 star hotel experience. I would avoid staying here if there were any likelihood of heavy rain/flood due to the location.

Perfect for our Colorado Buffalo football game weekend.

We loved out stay at Boulder Mountain Lodge. We were surrounded by climbing options, minutes from the Boulder amenities yet felt like we were out in a rustic secluded oasis. LOVED IT. Pack'n'Play provided, lots of room to spread out and base camp for our adventures. We will return.

Boulder Mountain Lodge is nestled in the mountains above downtown Boulder. It's a quick drive away from city life, with the advantage of open space, mountains and a creek flowing just outside. We borrowed their loaner bikes for a trip into downtown. It was an easy ride down the mountain, but quite challenging on the way back up. The hot tub felt like heaven after a day of hiking. Laundry machines allowed us to come back with clean clothes after 4 days of outdoor activities. The breakfast is mediocre and the rooms aren't lavish, but the place was cozy and ideally situated for a long weekend getaway.

Overall I liked it. Great location, surrounded by rocks and beauty. Decent price. Downside: no cell service, slow and spotty internet, and you can hear your neighbors. All in all, I would probably stay there again anyway.

The self-description as a simple hotel-style room is indeed the closest depiction of what Bounder Mountain Lodge offers. The hotel property is located along a creek, surrounded by trees, and framed by beautiful hills. The inside of the hotel and particularly the room, however, was not comparable to other simple and yet charming hotels. The simple hotel-style room descriptions and closeness to hiking trails attracted four of us to the hotel. The promised charm of the setting ended right after the friendly reception at the front desk. The dated lines and furniture, small bathroom, the few kitchen items instead of a kitchenette, and dusty rugs overruled the potential charms of the rooms we used. The four of us were amused at the multiple sigs that alerted guests about how to save the owners expenses. In other simple hotel-style room we have used in the southwest, the actual charming elements in the room have invited us to help the place, such as saving water. Plastering the room with such signs just overkilled the already detrimental conditions of the place. The location of the Bounder Mountain Lodge provides opportunities to be an exceptional place. For instance, the breakfast area is about the size of our hallway, even though it is located right next to a large and seemingly unused space. It would have been nice to use the space, read the paper, or see the mountains from the room rather than cramming around while eating breakfast. As it is now, the hotel did not meet our expectations for a simple hotel-style room in the mountains.
