if you want to stay in a dilapidated property and pay top dollar than this place is for you. after two nights, we decided that we didn't have to tough it out and checked out! bathrooms were old and rusty, the drop ceiling was dropping and looked like it was about to fall, what was the point of the black out drapes if the sky light got us up at sunrise! for half the price of this place, we checked into a chain hotel! the only positive, the staff was nice enough not to charge us for the rest of our stay after I pointed out all the above.

Loved the placement of lodge. It’s right before the mountains and the city (town). It’s best of both worlds. Bring your own standard means, and this place becomes home for the adventurer. Oof the provided coffee is unmatched

Place was great, staff fantastic. When I go back to Boulder I’ll definitely stay there.

Overall it was a fun experience. The room is clean and quiet, the staff is super friendly. There are no dining options on-site, but the city is 8~10 minutes drive away, so you do have tons of options there. The heater is also kind of loud, but I learned to heat up before sleep and turn things off during the night, so that worked out.

Like the location and rustic feel.

3 miles outside of Boulder downtown - very quiet lodge like atmosphere - not luux, but very suitable. Old kitchen, dont plan on a big cook out, but they must have a grill somewhere. The lobby is real nice, and they serve beer on tap- and other cooler drinks. Open til 10pm. There is a walking/bike trail into Boulder, that is real cool.. follows the creek.. recommended. Im glad we stayed here, and not in town.. but you need to go into town for any food, cafe or restaurants. Desk people are nice and helpful. Certainly a Colorado eco vibe here.

Great location!

Clearly a work in progress. I'm guessing thisolder property was recently puchased and the owners are gradually upgrading it on a shoestring. Not sure where the main lobby pictured is located, but it's not representative of the accommodations. That said the bed was comfortable and the spa tub worked. As previously noted the "deluxe Queen suite" has an oddly placed bunk bed which makes access to the kitchenete area sink difficult. This needs corrected and upgraded to a larger microwave, an apartment sized fridge with an actual freezer and a cook top.

The property is in a beautiful setting in Boulder Canyon. The room itself was cramped and not comfortable it was in need of updating as the furniture was worn out and torn. The bunkbed was crammed in front of the sink which made it difficult to use and the bunkbed itself was very uncomfortable. For $200 a night I would hope to at least have a clean comfortable room.

This was a great place, staff extremely helpful, clean and well maintained property.

Nice place to stay just outside of Boulder, but a little disappointed with my stay. No towel available in the room and nobody in the office until 8AM... luckily I had a towel in my car. Also, no coffee or breakfast available, as I had to leave before the office opened at 8.

We stayed in the lower lodge next to the hostel. This was basically glamping. We had mice running around the room at night chewing into anything left out. No AC, it was really hot if temp was over 75. We chose this place because they served breakfast but they were not due to COVID without letting us know which added several hundred dollars to our week stay and driving through the construction in the canyon to get to town. They could have made “sack breakfasts” with a muffin, piece of fruit, protein bar and let you pick them up the night before. Pool is not heated, which was fine for me but probably to cold for little kids. So is you want expensive glamping this would be great but I would recommend staying in the buildings beyond the office they are a bit more up to date.

Great alternative to a hotel to really get into the Boulder vibe. Cabins were super clean. Kitchenette did not have plates/cups or pans. The front office gave us some ( I felt awkward asking) , but other guests were not aware. They should have those in the kitchens with a checklist and $ if anything is missing.

It's in such a great location and has an excellent vibe. Everyone who works there is laid back and very helpful. Perfect place for a getaway!

It feels a little older and some of the rooms could use some updates. However, the rooms are clean and maintained. This is a nice quiet location just at the base of the mountains. If you want a change of pace, this is a good place to go.

Thanks for the review! Good strategy with the loud heater lol! That happens early on in the fall season when they haven't been used for a while..
