Basecamp Boulder

First-time trip to Boulder to look at CU, but I knew from an alum about the Pearl Street pedestrian mall, and I wanted a little time to explore. Staff was super friendly and helpful: used their printer to output a late-arriving parking pass and breakfast was terrific and the cafe manager/ server/ chef wrapped up my kid's breakfast burrito to go, even as I arrived close to the end of the breakfast session; really helpful and friendly. It IS a jazzed up motel layout, so we did hear a loud neighbor's late TV noise but with the room fan on, it was minimized. Beds were super comfy and plenty of room/hanging space for gear if you were there for outdoor activities.

The hotel staff is wonderful. Fun, cute vibe. Lots of little extra touches that make it a cute boutique hotel experience. No complaints

Basecamp Boulder is well located relative to the University of Colorado campus and downtown Boulder. It is modest, even somewhat rustic, but very comfortable. Nice recreational amenities, including workout room, stationary bikes, climbing wall and hot tub.

The staff was excellent--definitely the best aspect of our stay--and the room décor is charming in a deliberately hokey way, but the nightly rate was way too high for what you got. The bathroom (tub and toilet) was the size of a closet, though it helped that the sink was in a separate space. The tub looked dirty but it turns out that it was pitted--clean but unappealing. There was no fridge, no free breakfast (but a nice café with normally expensive coffee drinks), and the heating unit was the sort that made the room too hot when it was running and too cold when it switched off. The location was good but since you pretty much have to drive everywhere in Boulder, the few minutes you save with a good location isn't really significant. If this had been a cheap hotel, it would have been okay, but it was definitely not a hotel that should cost nearly $200 a night.

Staff is helpful! From using their computer to making spot-on recommendations, they were very happy to help. The place is located ideally for a walk to Pearl Street or U. Of C, Boulder. Our kids enjoyed the play room with its ping pong table and climbing wall.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. A good value & included a very decent breakfast. Easy walk to Pearl St., and steps away from Snarfburger - the perfect dinner in my tired state. I would stay there again. My only (very minor) wish was that DirectTV had access to more stations - which didn't stop me from binge-watching Animal Planet's River Monsters - also perfect.

clean and fresh. great breakfast. I would highly recommend this inn especially for the pool and hot tub experience. The available refrigeration unit was both unique and above average. It kept the beer cold, and fresh.

We were there for three nights. The renovated rooms are really appropriate for the Boulder lifestyle and area! Coleman type lamp, metal vintage type cooler for an ottoman, great lighting overall. Nice stay! I would definitely recommend!

Very convenient to UC Boulder for college visit. Room had faint odor of marijuana - but then so does the rest of the town. Nice people and nice breakfast.

The hotel did not meet our expectations. The place is ungoing a much needed reconstruction and the workers showed up and started banging with hammers and starting compressors at 7 am, plus the evening before they worked until almost 7 pm making excessive noise. The maid walked in to the room without even a knock which was an invasion of privacy. I would not recommend this hotel. PLUS it was very expensive for what it was. The hot tube was nasty and I would not go in that water again.

Typical value hotel stay---breakfast was not very good nice, small pool seemed over-clorinated. Had a inside pool and whirlpool, but also a sauna which I thought was good although we did not have time to use it. The room was quite nice and quite clean which is always priority number 1. Staff was nice and helpful. Also, quick walk to C.U. Boulder campus. Walk to Pearl Street.

Great little budget hotel. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, the wifi is free and the location is convenient to Pearl Street and campus. There is also a bike rental location just outside. Very happy with our stay. I liked that the hotel took some small measures to reduce carbon footprint-- shampoo and conditioner are in a dispenser and key cards are made of wood.

This is a nicely updated motel in a great location in Boulder. We were attending a concert at the Boulder Theater and were able to easily walk there and back from the hotel. Room was small (tiny bathroom), but very comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are a little small but all in all an awesome stay

Staff friendly. Maid service great . Breakfast buffet excellant. Did not get a chance to use hottub but looked great. Gave advice and directions as needed. Location was close enough to the rest of my family that it was convenient to visit with them.. (5-10min) but far enough that I wasn't bothered by them when I wanted to get away. Close to Pearl St mall and other shopping areas. Cookies in the afternoon.

Motel is very environmentally responsible. Continental breakfast was better than most. They gave us a free upgrade without us asking. Many hotels in the area were higher priced. We found this motel was comfortable with little touches that made it well worth the low cost. We will stay there again.

The location is within walking distance of the university and the town center. Parking was convenient, the room was clean, and breakfast was appreciated.

Nice motel, reasonable walking distance to Pearl street

One of the nicest little, hotels at which I have stayed. Location was perfect to walk to CU and Pearl Street. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. We will be back next year.

I was in Boulder, Colorado, for a short business trip. This particular hotel was within walking distance to all of the places I needed to be in central Boulder, eliminating the need for a rental car. The room was clean and cozy.
