The Constitution Inn

I've been to the Constitution Inn several times. A great maritime, Boston Harbor neighborhood! Unfortunately this visit had very poor maid service. We had to keep asking for soap and clean towels and supplies. Sometimes beds were not even made. Apart from this, a great stay as always.

AC didn't work and blankets were too thin. The rest is fine.

Couldn't get a good nights rest felt like bed bugs would be a reality with the dust, buildup, full trash can upon my arrival and the like. Just a dirty grime laden feel, the smell coming from the vents of hard water and a slight BO hint didn't help matters for me as well

No Air condition- incredibly uncomfortable and humid especially at night. Toilet clogged multiple times. Minimal lights in the room super dark in the evening. Most of the outlets were half out of wall and either didn't work or sparked if you tried to use them. Would not recommend hotel esp for price

Great staff with a good shuttle transportation. The shuttle was a little off with times and locations. But over all the hotel it self was good

The location in excellent! Charlestown is such a nice neighborhood. You can easily walk over to the USS Constitution. It's also a very quiet neighborhood. Pretty close to the airport, too.

Nice big rooms, but the location is horrible. It was very strange to have to take a hospital shuttle to the hotel from the T train stop.

Wifi did not work most of the time and air conditioning was spotty but with the fan in the room it was always comfortable. Excellent location

This hotel is located right at the old Naval Yard and full of history within walking distance, as well as great restaurants and Tour bus access. We also felt very safe as women walking to and from our favorite nearby restaurant at night, and had easy access to taxis, buses, etc. for daytime "touristing" or dinner in other Boston districts. Staff was helpful, rooms and facility are old but nice.

The 6th floor was considered the "penthouse." However it smelled horrible. The bathroom shower door would not close. The ceiling walls were low. There was a loud knocking noise coming from pipes all night that didn't allow us to sleep.

They had no air conditioning and the rooms were not that clean

Great location as we only needed a one night stay close to Logan Airport. Parking is a pain though as the only garage is a few blocks away. Also, told the hotel staff we were leaving super early and then it was mass confusion to get the car out of the parking garage as it was locked. Had to go to a separate building which no one told us about. Need better instructions on this from hotel staff.

The staff was great and very helpful. The room was clean and had what it said it would. Nothing super fancy but close to historic areas. Unfortunately there was no great window view but overall it wasn't a bad place to stay.

Staff was very rude. They didn't make you feel welcomed at all. Room smelt really bad and air didn't work.

We liked this hotel. The only concern, we had a kithenette in the room. However, surprisingly there weren't any single kithenware or silverware, all counters were empty. We liked fitness facilities and location.

Dirty , poor mattress, cinder block walls. Shabby furniture.

We booked to stay at the Constitution Inn as it was on the hop on hop off bus route and was a great price compared to other hotels in Boston. The room was spacious, great kitchenette with microwave, fridge (very handy) and coffee perculator, comfortable bed, good wardrobe space and a proper table with two chairs to eat at. Bathroom was a laid out a little oddly but again great shower and good drying towels. Reception staff were excellent, very helpful, smooth check in and out and luggage room to use before room check in and on the day you check out. Didn't use the swimming pool but look forward to doing so on my next trip as we were blessed with some lovely hot weather in Boston so a swim after sightseeing would have been lovely and didnt use the gym but the facilities looked first class. Location wise its only a short walk to the USS Constitution and USS Cassin Young, didn't make it to Bunker Hill monument this trip but will do next time which is close by and only a short walk to the bus stops for all of the different hop on hop off bus operators. Its also only a short walk to the bus stop for #93 local bus route into Boston city centre which we used to get home after the hop on hop off had finished for the day, ask reception for a copy of the timetable or you can print one off online. Also there is a great boat shuttle service to Boston harbour from close the hotel/USS Constitution $3.25 for adult each way, a lovely little trip to get into or out of the city. Also you can phone and get water taxis from this dock with Boston harbour cruises $12 a trip, we used to go back to the airport on our final day - no traffic and gorgeous sunshine. Also for room supplies/snacks/drinks/food Tedeschi's deli is just at the end of the road one block over and open till midnight - affordable great range of drinks and snacks, ready to eat and frozen meals, hot and cold deli open during the day till early evening. There's a couple of higher price restaurant options nearby The Bistro and Pier 6 but would highly recommend the affordable tasty burgers in the grill on Charlestown Navy yard. Can't remember its name but it has a knife and fork sign on the side of the building and you can see it from the USS Constitution visitor centre. We were only in Boston for 3.5 days so I still have some more sightseeing to do and want to go whale watching again as we didn't see too many on our trip and will be booking to stay at the Constitution Inn on my next trip. Would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Hotel room was basic, but clean it looked like the photos shown stylish window treatments enhanced the look of the room comfortable beds, good TV the staff was helpful and attentive amenities of the YMCA were great for the whole family Overall a good value.

The hotel cost for the area was reasonable which is more than I could say for the competitors
