The location is very good near the centre, the room is simple and comfortable, the staff is very nice, wi-fi very good. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is very good too.The Novotel Bordeaux Centre is a great choice to stay in this very beautiful city.
I was disappointed by my stay at this hotel. In spite of my Accorhotels's Platinum status my room was not upgraded. In addition I was suffering from a terrible noise because of construction works somewhere near my room. There were no slippers, body lotion, bath robe, shampoo, etc. in my room. I got only a piece of soap. When I was checking out the reception person tried to charge me for 6 breakfasts but I had only 3 breakfasts during my stay.
I booked 2 rooms in Dec 2017 at this hotel. We arrived from Bergerac early in the morning at 9.30am. We were meeting our son and his girlfriend at the strain station in Bordeaux. We asked if we could leave our bags ( so that it would be easier to pick them up with all their luggage). The very friendly receptionist informed us that one room was already prepared and that we could leave our bags in the room. This was great news as then we could bring them back from the train station and dump their bags in our room also. This made for exploring around Bordeaux so much more appealing than carrying huge backpacks around. The rooms were big and comfortable, with large size beds. They were very quiet rooms and again we could open a window to let some fresh air in. We even managed a game of fuse ball in the foyer whilst waiting for one of our party to get ready. Check in and out was easy and quick. Parking was at the back of the building in a secure shared carpark but the directions were easy to follow. Would definitely stay here again. And it's well located.
We had booked our rooms before we left the US for our 2-week European visit. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the old town and an easy taxi ride to the train station. Check-in was easy and our rooms were quiet and clean. Lucia and her staff had ready answers to our questions, both before and during our stay. We had tried, unsuccessfully, to make a dinner reservation at Tante Charlotte: they never answered the phone! Finally, I called the hotel from the US and talked with Lucia about the issue. She checked with her colleagues, who all agreed that the restaurant is known for not answering the phone when they're busy. She called me back and explained the matter to me and assured me she would work on it. Sure enough, she was able to find us a table there the Friday night we arrived. When we were at the front desk, I asked for Lucia; one of the front-desk staffers pointed her out. I called to her and told her my name; she rushed from her office to greet us as warmly as if we were old friends. What a nice welcome! Lucia recommended her favorite Brasserie for our lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed it. She arranged for a taxi to take us to dinner that night and again to the train station the next morning after a delicious breakfast at the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel, both for the building and furnishings and for the helpful staff, particularly Lucia.
Stayed here for one week. Relaxing and very enjoyable: good size room, delicious food, staff very friendly, responsive and helpful. However, the restaurant is closed on Saturday and it laks a spa. All in all, "Novotel Bordeaux Centre" is a very good choice (the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the old city center).
Ideally located in the center of Bordeaux this hotel offers large&stylish renovated rooms, well equipped and smartly furnished. But what really made difference in our stay at Novotel - was your outstanding staff ! Monsieur Gasnier and his team went extra mile to make our stay memorable! Be assured that you will be taken care of by extremely friendly and professional Front Desk team lead by Lucia. Thank you for making us feel so good at your property! It was unforgettable. We will be back !
I want thanks to Lucia because she was kind with me and was have patience to explain to me what is important to visit in Bordeaux and how to get there. She told to me about the church, the Napoleon bridge.
While staying at the Novotel Centre Hotel in Bordeaux, I was lucky to be helped by a charming hostess- manager who, thanks to her knowledge of the worthwhile sites to be visited in Bordeaux, and the surrounding wine chateaux, was instrumental in my enjoyment of my stay in that beautiful area. The warmth of the welcoming in this hotel made me immediately feel at home. Thank you again
Dreadful hotel with dreadful service. When I arrived after a very long day, I was told my room had not been reserved because I had not logged a credit card number. I said that this was impossible under their online booking procedure, and that I had a valid reservation which had been made using my credit card (see picture). The manageress told me that I had been sent an email in French shortly before my arrival (when I was in transit and could not see it!!) confirming that my room was not reserved until I had contacted the hotel directly with my credit card details AGAIN. When I arrived at the hotel my room had been reallocated, and I was ejected from the hotel. And this was at 8pm. I have NEVER experienced this before. The manageress was rude and arrogant, and when I complained to Accor directly they politely acknowledged my email then did NOTHING in the months which followed - and now they completely ignore all contacts with them.
i arrrived in the hotel on 14.11 at 20 in the evening . it was very unpleasant to stay in the reception and to have a discussion about a room reserved by agency. VERY BAD SERVICE AT RECEPTION THE MANAGER WAS VERY AROGANT AND SHE OFFENDED ME. i will never be here again
