The atmosphere in the hotelbuilding is uninviting. The windows of the rooms are barred like in a prison. Measures should be taken to make this place friendlier. The hotel looks run down. Employees are not smiling - no wonder!
We had a good stay here. Basic, but you get what you pay for so we were happy with the value for money. Easy access into the city via the C tram which stops a five minute (max) walk from the hotel. If you need anything extra (pillows etc.) be sure to ask during the day as staffing is minimal overnight. Our room was slightly too warm as they'd already switched the air conditioning off despite the unseasonally warm weather, but the room was comfortable and clean so it was a minor complaint really.
An unusual hotel in many ways. Firstly it's location is a bit out of the way, almost an industrial looking area, and on first impressions you think this couldn't be a hotel! After a few minutes we found the door, to be greeted by a woman who didn't want to be there, or at the least was having a bad day! Finding the room was complex. It was OK but basic. Would we stay there again? No
Room smaller then last time ,price doubled since last time No shampoo,no hairdryer no extra pillows ,tv wasn't working properly Parking still good and better excess to hotel Good for tram stop and not too far in to centre
Stayed here for four nights in Sept. Having read other reviews we had a fair idea what to expect. We stayed in one of the top floor /roof top rooms , room had a small kitchen area with a cooker , fridge and microwave. Wifi was free and was more than adequate for out needs. Getting there is easy , get the 1+ bus from the airport to the st Jean Gare train station and from there catch the C tram to Stade getting off at Grand Parc and then literally turn right and walk through the gates. Found all the staff to be helpful and pleasant. Did not encounter any problems in the local area or the main town centre and the tram network is easy to negotiate and runs at regular intervals until 12am . So for the price we paid we were more than happy with the hotel .
Finding our room was a bit of an adventure - make sure you understand the directions! The room was a bit tired and could do with repainting. We couldn't find the cutlery/pans immediately, they were apparently in a 'hidden' pull out drawer, the rooms have either a coffee maker OR kettle so check that you book the right appliance! Fridge and dishwasher in the kitchenette. We had a bath as well as a shower.Outside space was a small pokey balcony. The suite was small but adequate for an overnight stay for four people. Breakfast rather pricey for the choice. Free parking though and an easy walk into the centre of Bordeaux - or not far from the nearest tram.
the apartment was basic but ok. it had Wi-Fi and parking but the location and security were dreadful. on our 2nd morning, 15 cars were broken into with all their belongings taken. the place has no security guards or cameras and reception closes at 11pm. we were lucky and one of the few cars that didn't get broken into. maybe because we had a Lidl bag on our parcel shelf and they figured we weren't rich enough to steal from. As it was Friday night, many people had prepacked their cars ready for an early departure and lost all their belongings.. The hotel showed little pity and offered no support. I wouldn't feel safe parking there or wandering around the streets at night. the area is rough.
Firstly the photos online are extremely misleading, then the state of the place is depressing! The place is extremely dirty, marks all over the walls (coming out of the lift on 3rd floor was like a war zone), the so called apartment was terrible! The sofa bed is far from a decent one and the bedsheets were ripped! We had arrived quite late with 3 kids from a very long journey so couldn't just leave and go elsewhere which we had done otherwise... The so called private parking is another misleading with us having to park anywhere possible as the Hotel parking spaces are half a dozen maximum. Then to finish it all the breakfast was quite mediocre with all the members of staff going into a corner by the stairs to smoke while people were eating with children there, etc.... quite disgusting! The only good point about this place was the girl that was on the reception on arrival was very pleasant The location is in a dreadful area without anything open from 9pm
We stayed for one night, it was a nice hotel. Free parking, the room was basic, smelt a little like cigarette smoke but it was clean. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and good quality bread. The hotel is a little outside the main centre however just to the left of the hotel, through the gate, where the tram stop is, you can use Bordeaux bikes, it will cost €1.60 for 24hrs and if you return it to another bike station within 30 mins there is no additional charge, we used this to get to the waterfront and to central Bordeaux, less than 15 min cycle. Overall this hotel is good value for money.
A 3 night stay at this hotel was ok at best. The orientation of the apartment appears odd with the kitchen right at the entrance. The rooms were small. Dining chairs too big for room and don't move well on the floor. Bathroom was modern and clean. No view on the balcony. Front desk people were nice. Parking is very limited. We had to park on the street after 11pm due to a full lot.
