A 3 night stay at this hotel was ok at best. The orientation of the apartment appears odd with the kitchen right at the entrance. The rooms were small. Dining chairs too big for room and don't move well on the floor. Bathroom was modern and clean. No view on the balcony. Front desk people were nice. Parking is very limited. We had to park on the street after 11pm due to a full lot.
Tres bien Tres propre Bonne location Parking Pres de la arrette de tram et velo de vile The receptionist was a little condescending and made me feel uncomfortable Kitchenette a bonus and bathroom a good size
Good- easy of access to city, acess to escape to countryside, parking, breakfast, service levels, located next to a Wave cafe that serves Hoegaarden 0.5L buckets on draught and has chairs/tables outside for sunbathing! Result! Bad or improve - Bathrooms need renovating; behind standards set elsewhere in budget hotels. No seats or tables outside only smelly overflowing bins. There is space so get some plastic chairs, tables and parasols for your guests to use!. No many decent restos to walk to from the property. Good pizzeria and French Bistro but a bit scarce unless you want lump it back into town again?
it has all the basics and it's clean enough. It needs some maintenance. Breakfast is ok. No problem to stay with dogs. 15 min to downtown by tram. 30 min walking. Neighborhoud a little abondoned, no night life at all Fun wave surf atraction just side by side
We stayed here 3 years ago, and found it to be good value for the facilities offered, so were happy to return. The location is in an area which is undergoing regeneration, so there are few tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity. However the tram stop is 2 mins walk from the back door, and trams run 4-5 times an hour to the city centre. A weekly ticket is well worth while. There are two good supermarkets - Leclerc and Simply - in easy walking distance. We had a one bedroom apartment which was pleasant and comfortable. There was a small balcony, useful for fresh air but with an uninspiring view of building walls only. Regular cleaning is not provided, so you do need to ask when you need loo roll etc, but otherwise not a problem for a short stay. The kitchen area has the standard 2 ring hob plus microwave. There was a large dishwasher which we didn't use. Unfortunately the floor space this occupied meant that most of the kitchen storage was in high wall cupboards, which I found a little awkward. However there was a good supply of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. Staff friendly and helpful.
2 good points: cheap price and 20m from the tramway bringing you downtown. We had a room underground with no access by lift so we had to carry our 2 heavy suitcases in the stairs. Bed hard and uncomfortable, really bad back pain when we woke up. Rooms are poorly furnished and the stained floors and walls give it a dirty look. Pillows and bed sheets are extremely poor quality and somehow can't be washed properly: we found hair on our pillows and bed sheets and it was not ours... Checkin staff was nice at first but helpless later that night when I went to ask for change to get coins to use the vending machine. "The box is closed". I had to make a point that I had no water and insist on getting change to buy some at their vending machine. The staff then had to walk to the next room to grab a box with change in it. The whole process took less than 20seconds so why did she say it was not possible in the first place, laziness?! Good if you are short on money, avoid otherwise. R&H from Hong Kong
Pros - economic - kitchenette well equipped - breakfast is very good quality for the price (9€ per person) - appt has a decent size, though is has some oversized chairs that make hard to move around. Cons - dirty carpets - ugly neighborhood (felt kind of unsafe) - uncomfortable beds (we were four and there were 3 pillows, we requested more three times and were told only one per person was allowed!) - parking is on the street, when we requested the receptionist to open one of the three reserved spots in front of the hotel since the rest were all busy, it was late and we were coming with two sleepy girls and lots of bags she said she couldn't and that it was fine to use the place reserved for handicaps (of course we didn't) - reception is supposed to open until 11. The day we were arriving we got a call that they will be closing at 10:30 and gave three different codes to write down while driving. - if you are renting and appt, the is no service of any kind (not even emptying the bins). There's a list of do's before leaving which includes folding the towels and sheets. And worst of all, it is not possible to lock the door from the inside. Our 3 year old opened it and went out to the hallway at night while we were sleeping. After that we had to put all forms of barricades to avoid her escaping again :(
I stayed in this hotel for 6 months, starting from November 2016 to April 2017. I was very impressed with its location since it was easy to go anywhere from this hotel. The hotel location is just 50 - 100 meters away from the route of Tramway (line C), so it is very easy to reach the city center (old city - Place de La Bourse) or city Mall (Auchan) or Matmut Atlantique stadium, where FC Bordeaux normally play for their home match. The hotel location is also near with some super market such as Lecrerc, Simply and Carrefour. So, it is not issue if you want to cook your self since the hotel has kitchen facility, and it is close to the supermarket who sell all needs/foods for cooking. There are also some restaurants which are near to the hotels such as Thanh Hai Moi ( Vietnamese restaurant), Fufu and Le Shogun (Japanese restaurants). I enjoyed my stay in Bordeaux!
Location on outskirts of Bordeaux city. Renovated warehouses. By close to tram line c which will take you easily into city centre. There is a pool/surfing with a bar next door you want a cheeky drink before you head out for the day/night. Rooms where very comfrtable, with a small kitchenette. The bed was very comfrtable and we had a fantastic night sleep. Lack of power points though, unless we just couldn't find them. Hotel itself was good for noise reduction, was off street so no problems with car noise pollution. Breakfast area is small but serve continental food, cold meats and cheeses, and other basics. Great spot if happy to walk, tram or have a car, they have parking outside.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel with clean rooms with the added extra of cooking facilities in each room and very importantly free parking then this a great place to go. I found the staff very friendly and courteous. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the city centre and can be reached by tram which is located less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. If you're traveling by rental car from the airport it's only about a 20 minute drive. You can purchase breakfast for around €10 or the cheaper option is to buy your food from the local simply supermarket which is only 1 tram stop from the hotel.Overall this is great hotel for traveling in and around the Bordeaux city and region.
