The room and furnishings looked like they were all new. Nice place to stay if you are looking for a bare minimum: microwave, fridge, shower (no tub). Breakfast was minimal: hard boiled eggs, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, some fruit, blueberry muffins.
My room had a dormer with all hand finished log beams very nicely done ! The room was also furnished with a handmade log bed and sofa . I had a great nights sleep on the new memory foam mattress it was better than the one I have at home . I'll stay here again on my next trip to North Idaho.
The mini fridge actually had a separate freezer and both parts worked well. Chose the place due to great reviews. Don't know how it got them. We were in 111 in a separate building. No chairs in the room, just a hardwood half log on legs. Relax and watch tv. What a joke. The door was not very secure, no deadbolt or privacy chain, just a twist button handle. The bed springs and frame are very noisy and there was no headboard so your pillows were up against the wall. On the left of the bed was the only nightstand, with a lamp, and a closet? 2 feet above the lamp. It is in one of the previously posted pics. Air conditioner/heater was mounted in the window and worked well which was fortunate as the gaps on each side were thin accordion plastic that were drafty. Jacuzzi worked well but was installed so badly it was almost a hazard to use. The facet and controls were a LONG reach on the back of the tub. The step up to get to the point you could get in or out was very narrow. To top it off the switch to the "romantic" light on the back wall above the tub was on that same wall. You had to be in the tub to reach it. Serious code violation unless it was tied into the ground fault system by the sink. No extra towels were provided for the tub. There was nothing nearby except the very busy highway, which you heard all night. The only "table" in the room was a TV tray which was filthy. We killed one spider on the wall above the bed. Next morning there was a wolf spider on the same wall near the ceiling. You don't have spiders unless there is something for them to eat. Maybe it was the dust bunnies, as I collected a few on my socks as I went about the room. Town was 2 miles away so nothing to walk to. Breakfast provided was cold cereal, instant oatmeal, packaged muffins. We had or own supplies so made our own eggs and ham breakfast on our hot plate. As I said nearest restaurants were in town 2 miles away.
Stayed the night 9/2/17. check in girl was very nice and friendly, room was very clean and quiet. Price is good, the one thing that could use some improvement is our "code' to get in for breakfast didn't work and we really didn't want to call front desk to let us in. Didn't look like there was much for breakfast anyway so we left our keys on the bed.
We stayed one night the room was very clean and cool. There was a spot for a hair dryer but no hair dryer. Not much counter space. We were glad for the refrigerator and Microwave. For the price we were satisfied.
Very small establishment. Some of the rooms are in the main building, others, like ours, are cabins. We stayed in 111. Now, having a Jacuzzi bath in the main room may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there is a separate shower if you prefer that. Toilet and shower in together, bath, bed and basin in the main room. We did not hear the large trucks that were there leave, so insulation is good. Fridge/freezer and microwave. The down side is twofold. Firstly the hot tub is out of order. Secondly, the breakfast was a disappointment. Totally self service. Sliced melon, yogurts, hard boiled egg, and small tetra packs of orange juice in the fridge. Coffee and muffins. Nothing hot and no bread. I can't remember if there was cereal.
My husband and I stayed in Room 111. It was a private room with a jacuzzi tub. We knew we were going to be hiking a lot and wanted to relax. The room had rustic decor and the tub was great. Everything was clean. The air conditioner is a window mounted one and it's a bit noisy. The continental breakfast was average. We were completely satisfied with the room and would be happy to stay here again.
We have been staying here each time we go to Bonners about 1 or 2 times a year. People are very friendly and helpful. The place is all log very cute and nice. They have great pricing as well. They do have an outdoor hot tub unfortunately it was not working last time we were there but would not have used it as was +41 out crazy hot. They do all they can to accommodate the customers the best way they can.
I stayed at the Dodge Peak Lodge in Bonners Ferry Id last night. The one good thing about the stay was the clean room. The room was small and made to feel smaller with the small windows and dark colors of the walls and floor. The air conditioner was VERY loud and barley adequate for the 90+ heat. They do not have a vending machine and although they advertise a continental breakfast from 6:00am-9:30am the lobby/office was not open during those hours. There are no restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance. Wifi connection was in and out, I tried to do some work and finally gave up. The staff is polite, only when pressed was she forthcoming with information about the town and then only short answers. I was very impressed with the cleanliness though.
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights ago. It was so relaxing, clean, the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. If you are ever any where near here make time to spend a night here. U will be so happy u did. The people there are the best.
