Great stay in Sandpoint

7 days of fun & adventure in Sandpoint! We were delighted with The Ruby hotel. The room was fine, newly remodeled and clean, the amenities were fabulous!! A wonderful full breakfast buffet offered (included in room rate!) at the restaurant next door, pool and spa and they offered guests free use of bikes. Very nice 21 speed Soecialized bikes! The staff was fantastic, friendly, accommodating. We will stay here again when in Sandpoint, ID.

We stayed for a week as we visited family. Two adults and 2 teens. The room was comfortable and they had a nice sitting room with pool table so when we needed down time we weren't just stuck in our room. The hot tub isnt working, and it sounds like it will take a while to get the jets going. The pool and hot tub were clean and we did sit in the hot tub for a while. The best part is the breakfast buffet. It is like no other hotel breakfast. It is in an actual restaurant and is delicious!

Nice place in Ponderay

Hotel was quiet. Staff were professional they had an excellent breakfast buffet. Pool and spa were very nice and well maintained and there was a nice park adjacent to the hotel. Plenty of free parking too

Home Depot adjacent to hotel; forklift, semi-truck & other noise all hours. The stankiest wet dog smell EVER at any hotel. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels. It was so dog stinky that you’d a thought you were standing in the dog pound surrounded by 500 wet hounds. Freeway noise on top of constant Home Depot noise. The pool is literally 3 feet deep at the max & tiny. The jets on the hot tubs don’t work. The pool/hot tub were out of service four times when we went down there. Avoid this hotel it’s a bunch of smoke & mirrors and lies.

We come to this hotel every year for the Renaissance Faire and as someone who travels a lot, it's really one of the nicest places we stay. The hot tubs are really nice, however one was out of service, as was the button to turn on the jets, but last year they worked just fine so it's likely not a common issue. The breakfast voucher for across the way is very nice, and the rooms are comfortable. My biggest issue with the hotel is that there is a fairly big issue when it comes to accessibility. I use a cane and wheelchair and while this year I was lucky and placed in a first floor room, last year there wasn't one available and we struggled having to carry it up the stairs while I had to climb them. The employees were really helpful with moving stuff up there, but it would be really bad for someone who was unable to use the stairs. It was a gamble this year, and I do wish they had some sort of way to mark certain rooms as accessible when reserving so you could know if you could get to your room or not. But on the first floor, there werent any barriers in the hotel such as large steps or anything to get through the halls and to the pool.

Breakfast buffet at the Farmhouse Kichen

Breakfast at the Farmhouse Kitchen should not be missed. Excellent. The best hotel buffet I've had. Go back for lu ch and/or dinner for some great BBQ
