We stayed in a room on the top floor with riverview. Room is renovated and very clean!! I just slept very badly due to the duvet pillows who were so thin it felt like sleeping without a pillow. The room was very nice. Staff was friendly. Overall good food, especially the cold buffet at night!! Only downer was the desert.every day they like to serve mousses with fruity chemical taste. As for the creme brûlée,that was the best I ever had!!Breakfast was good and a varied!!! Only negative thing were the scrambled eggs that appeared more like a big omelet!I really recommend the hotel because price quality is extremely good and I overall enjoyed my stay!!
I stayed there for a week in July on business. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast spread, nice location and view of river Rhine, helpful staff! Although nothing much to see in konigswinter, but is a great place to relax and unwind from the busy city life.
Absolutely fabulous modern hotel. Of the four Maritim hotels I have stayed in this week, Cologne, Dresden, Titisee and here, this is by far the best in all respects. There are views across the Rhine from most rooms. The bathrooms, showers, bedrooms, foyer, toilets in the foyer etc. are all refurbished and are ultra modern and a pleasure to see and use. The meal in the restaurant was a buffet style and had plenty of choice and quality. The hotel is situated very close to the town centre with numerous bars in walking distance, the best probably being the beer garden immediately opposite the hotel. All in all a fabulous, modern hotel, a credit to the company.
Depending on your room you either have a view or you don't also some amenities are not available to all rooms check very carefully what your getting .very steep slope to entrance and meals are on a self serve system not completely disabled friendly .
Fine hotel in Koenigswinter situated next to the Rhine. We booked a room with Rhine view which was nice. It would have been nicer to have a broader window for an even better view. The room was fine with good beds and a nice bathroom. There's also a small swimming pool in the basement which we made use of before breakfast. We found the breakfast a bit on the expensive side. Could be worthwhile to look for a breakfast place outside the hotel.
Fantastic newly renovated Hotel with friendly staff and both terrace and rooms overlooking the rhine river. The hotel bar features some noteworthy cocktail creations. Foot walking distance to town, ferry and Drachenfels mountain. Great food and breakfast served in the hotel at reasonable prices. Bike and EBike rebtal available. Would stay here again.
We stay here for 1 or 2 periods a year. We always have a great time at the borders of the Rhine. The hotel is recently renovated and they did a wanderful job. The hotel is very clean. The personel is great, always friendly and helpful. We love this hotel and feel at home. Dinner is great.
Lovely clean and comfortable hotel on the bank of the Rhineland-Palatinate. Lovely views, convenient tram into Bonn. Rooms exceptional but reception a little 'cold'. Nice restaurant with good food. Alternatives nearby.
We stayed here on the last day of a coach trip to Austria and Switzerland. This place was absolutely fantastic. Food, all buffet, was out of this world. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, and the beds were the biggest yet. I'm 6ft 4 and there was room to spare. Cannot find any faults with this hotel. Highly recommended
Stayed for 3 nights while my partner was attending a conference. The positives - we had a nice view looking over the Rhine (very pleasant and great to watch the passing river traffic) and a newly renovated room, which was comfortable and very well cleaned. Another positive was the convenient tram stop outside the hotel, so easy access to Bonn and Cologne. The local taxi drivers were also good and service the hotel well. The not so positives - the jackhammers that started early in the morning as what sounded like the room upstairs was being renovated - no chance of sleeping beyond 8am or so. There were also no "do not disturb" signs so privacy and quiet was not a happening thing. The room was overheated (and the heating would not turn down) but fortunately the windows opened so we slept with those open (not very environmentally friendly though!). Breakfast was good with a nice selection but quite expensive compared with other similar hotels. So, the stay was good but the hotel will be better when the jackhammering stops! Konigswinter has an attractive town centre and is worth a visit.
