The hotel will not impact anyone from the outside, as the outer architecture is a bit dull and blends in with the business area where the hotel is located. However, this will change as soon as you enter the lobby where the character of the hotel starts showing. The interior architecture and decoration of the hotel are very interesting and keep your stay from being boring. Everything looks a bit as if they have been taken out of the giant world from Mario Bros from columns in form of porcelain vases to trees planted in 3 meter high pots. The hotel is not walking distance from Bonn downtown, this is important to know. You'll need to take a taxi or similar. However, the area is very nice specially if you are traveling during summer and weather is going to be sunny. The hotel is located on a linear park that goes along the Rhine river and makes an excellent walk, run or even for a beer. The hotel and other nearby places have beer gardens where you can enjoy a beer in the sun, enjoying nature and soaking up some sun. Rooms are comfortable and clean, which is expected at this price point, nothing remarkable here. Only one interesting point is that when you get a single bed room, you will get two individual comforters, this is a first in my years of traveling. In this occasion I was traveling solo, but if traveling as a couple, this is something to know about as it can make sleeping quite an individual endeavour.
Second stay, a year apart. The basic hotel is good but the way things happen is still quite chaotic and they have poor standards for a 5 star. The breakfast buffet is meagre by 5 star standards, but the price at €56 is not. For that price you expect everything to be replenished often, but the juice, eggs and butter stations were all empty at the same time. On the second day the omelette station was out of order and juice was still short. The rooms are quirky to the point of being annoying. The A/C doesn't work very well and is noisy as hell. The room control buttons have been designed to confuse astrophysicists and some aren't even labeled. And a cardinal sin is that the blackout blinds don't close far enough to block light completely. The staff are helpful but when they ask for feedback they don't really expect any. Last time I stayed there was a chip from a glass in a sugar bowl that could have injured me badly if I had not spotted it in the sugar, and the bartender just shrugged. That attitude sums up this entire hotel.
I visited the hotel in may and it was a pleasant surprise. The building is impressive, the area is nice and quite next to the Rhine. We booked a room that didn't had view over the interior atrium because a party was scheduled and there would have been noise. The room was big, bed is very comfortable and the bath has both shower and bathtub. Only minus was with the window glass for the roiled that couldn't be close right. When we've been there, fireworks were programed on the Rhine. The area was secured and you couldn't drive in without having a reservation. We have been offered a day ticket for the parking and told that it was free, which it wasn't cause we had to pay 25 euros per day. At the hotel we had been told that breakfast was included in the price that we paid, which it wasn't cause they charged us when we left. Aside from these incidents, the hotel is ok if the information you receive is accurate.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. We Booked a junior suite with secret escapes and the room was huge! Clean shower/bath and Good bed The bar of the hotel is Nice to sit and drink an aperitif. Parking is not for Free (around €20/day) but under hotel Spa is not that big but very cool! 2 sauna's, steambath and infinity pool Gym is small but equipment from Good quality! Breakfast had a large selection and Good quality. Very Nice hotel to stay in. Tip: reserve on time a table If You want to eat in one of the hotel restaurants.
I've been to many luxury hotels but this one is hands down the best I've visited. We stayed in the Royal Suite and had a 3k sq foot roof top terrace on the Rhine river! Also had a 5 person shower and multiple bathrooms! I would recommend this hotel for anyone in the area for Gamescom which is only about a 30 min train ride away.
I had the pleasure to spend 3 months at the Kameha Grand and could not have thought of a better place. The Hotel is very fashionable with a stylish and high-quality interior. In particular the rooms are very nice. As I am very picky with cleanliness, I was delighted by the housekeeping that cleaned meticulously. In addition to the great rooms, the Hotel offers a great gym; although sometimes a little bit packed, with a fantastic swimming pool (and view). An extensive breakfast buffet with high quality food and delightful service ensures a great start in the day. All in all i can only recommend this hotel and am looking forward to staying there again.
Great hotel, it's like having the Rhein in your garden ! The restaurants near are also great. Spacious and modern room, special design! I really recommend this hotel, even if I try to, I don't find anything to say against...
Have been there a couple of times before. Checking in and out was fast and easy, staff was very friendly. The room is was very clean and it's a real pleasure enjoying all amenities e. g. the towels, the bed etc. Breakfast is not really outstanding, very fresh food and drinks, missed spelt bread.
Stayed one day for business at Kameha Grand hotel and I could not be happier. Service is impeccable and the hotel furniture is incredibly stylish. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Bonn.
