Hotel Re Enzo3.0 out of 5.0

Hotel re Enzo is suited to those on a budget and looking simply for somewhere to sleep. It would be unfair to be negative about the Hotel as it is inexpensive, well located for getting out and about in Bologna. Breakfasts are pretty basic, but you have Bologna outside. Soundproofing in the ensuite bathrooms is interesting to say the least. That aside...the staff are friendly and attentive and the hotel is clean.
Stayed one night here. The room was at 5th floor with a large balcony. The breakfast was very good. A lot of choices, good coffee, fresh food. The personnel was nice and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, the bathroom also clean.
we have been for 2 days in this wonderful city, and the hotel was easy to reach from the station. We found the room comfortable. The staff very very kind and breakfast really good. A nice stay, even short
Nice hotel inside the city walls, right on the spot for most Things in Bologna. spacious rooms, not very modern (at least not on 2nd floor) but clean and functional. The beds are a bit hard. Good breakfast, with very flexible breakfast-hours!
Nice hotel, near the center of Bologna. Decent room, quite clean. Confortable (and big) bed. Bathroom with all the stuff You need (including a hair dryer, althoug not that new). Good breakfast, more in the sweet direction (only scrambled eggs and some sausage warm). Sweet stuff was splendid, however.
This was booked through booking.com. There it was called Affittacamere 051. After looking for at least an hour for the hotel sign or the building similar to the web site, I finally walked into Hotel Re Enzo. Embarrassed I asked the day manager where it was and was told this was it. REALLY! He was rude. Evidently booking.com users are located in another building. We were escorted out the door, around the corner to another entrance that had a paper note on the entry stating where Hotel ReEnzo was. Website needs to be changed. Having said that, we did put our coats on and go to the main building for a good breakfast. The room was good. Wifi on our mac was difficult but the evening desk manager was very accommodating and let us use his office computer. I suggest future users ask where they would be located.
The location of the hotel is good, central and easy to walk into the center. A map was provided by reception. The room itself was a little disappointing, it was in need of updating, the photographs on the website were not representative of the room we were given. We were next to the lift which was very loud and we could hear the people in the next room. The bathroom was very small, but very clean with toiletries and towels provided. Breakfast was great.
This hotel has a fairly good location and a good breakfast however: The staff are rude, probably because there are not enough of them and some cannot speak English. They rip you off by overcharging you for the room tax. The rooms enable you to hear the tv viewing and bathroom habits of the rooms above and around you.
We stayed there two nights during our visit of Bologna, The hotel is okay, although it needs some maintenance, especially at the outside. The location is rather good, a 10 minutes walk from the centre. Rooms are good and clean, they include a private bathroom, A/C, TV, minibar and free wifi. We booked a room with private balcony at the back side, a pity that the balcony was not furnished and we had to use the stool from the bathroom. Breakfast is okay as well, what you might expect in a Best Western hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a garage (valet parking) next door to the hotel, € 24 per day for a middle class car.
Left Brescia after the Mille Miglia departure, and arrived at this hotel by car. It was hard to find it since this hotel is blended with appartment buildings and residentials parking lots (at least in the dark)...The parking was a pain to find, and the burned out concierge didnt knew what was going on since we were 2 couples and my first name is Kim...I guess he was expecting 3 women and a men, so we gave him a nose bleed and he almost asked us who is sleeping with who...We still laugh about it....the rooms where comfortable with a tiny balcony with a view on a public parking and buildings...The breakfast was ok. Its location is ok I guess, since we didn't walk too far to reach interesting areas. There is very good restaurant right next to the hotel on the same street, and an even better one just a bit further (just ask for the restaurant that used to be a small factory / garage.
