after running around in the city the whole day the retreat to the roof terrasse with the whirlpool, the breeze, the view over the city, the drinks from the bar, the sunset over the city is what makes this a great hotel for a city trip. if the hot stones of the city tired and bored you, there you can relax. and yes: rooms, service, breakfast, parking - all very good as well.
Stayed here twice in the last month, one of the best hotels in Bologna. Extremely modern and clean, all rooms are spacious. Buffet breakfast is very large and has a lot of variety. The hotel is also a quick 10 minute walk to the main attractions. Hotel also offers a roof top garden/jacuzzi which over looks the city centre.
Firstly the communication with the hotel prior to arriving was fantastic - quick to respond to queries and very helpful. On arrival we received an early check in which was fantastic as this meant we could unpack and explore straight away. The room was beautiful - we opted for the suite and i have to say it is the nicest rooms i have ever stayed in. The bed is enormous, very clean and spacious. Breakfast was superb - great choice and nice environment to eat in. Walk from the hotel to the town centre takes around 15 minutes so definitely worth it to stay in such a fabulous hotel. We arranged the Amazing Italy Tour through the hotel which was the Food and Ferrari Tour. Definitely worth the money - great day out, very interesting to see - remember your driving licence to drive a Ferrari (and your wallet) and an amazing meal at the end. Hotel Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hot tub on the roof terrace is a great place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing and was very quiet even in the height of summer - often had it to ourselves. Would definitely return to Bologna and this hotel which enhanced our experience.
A great hotel about 15 mins walk from centre but this is good because it is quiet and there is plenty to see on the way to the centre. Hot tub on the roof is a bonus. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms with enormous comfortable beds. It`s a good hotel for a great city to visit.
We visited Bologna in July and we were greeted with a free welcome drink and a room upgrade for booking direct. Our room was spacious with a great view of the city. The roof terrace is great with plenty of loungers and a hot tub. Breakfast was great, the area was clean within great produce. It's about 7-9 euros in a taxi from the train station and a 15 minute walk into the city walls.
Excellent Hotel about a 15 min walk from the city centre, helpful staff and god rooms, sauna on the roof which was just right in the hot weather .the double beds were huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there
We stayed in July 2017 when it was extremely hot! The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Bologna which is a bit too far to walk into for the evening. The area around the hotel is slightly down at heel but the hotel recommended a couple of local restaurants which were really good. The view from the roof terrace were amazing, but I was surprised that there wasn't a bar up there as it would have been a perfect location for it. The staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff. We had dinner in the restaurant one night - the food was very good, but it was lacking in ambiance, mainly as it also serves as the breakfast room. The bar and area outside the bar were nice for a pre or post dinner drink.
The service and the room in this hotel is quite good. Clean and air conditioned room with a lovely bathroom and tub (hard to find in mid level hotels in Italy) There is parking for the hotel that is around 22E a day. Breakfast was huge and comes with room if you pay for it. One thing was that the room was on a loud street with traffic and voices most of the night that were quite loud. Early in the morning, the landscaping crew started up with their weed whackers and lawn equipment that made any more sleep impossible after 7 am. What I also did not like was the walk from the center of town through a somewhat sketchy neighborhood. We didn't have any problems but it seemed less than safe at night (we were fine). The neighborhood was safe for us but it didn't feel safe like Rome. Its a long walk to parts of the city center (20 minutes or more) but the city was well lit and easy to navigate. ITs much larger than we thought but still under renovation from WWII damage. Not sure why I didn't feel comfortable there but I didn't. Its like the hotel is an isolated place in the midst of a part of the city not yet revived? I wouldn't stay there again because of the noise and the neighborhood but the service and the room were lovely.
Excellent value, somewhat of a business hotel, but within 15 walk of the center of the old city. Nice underground parking is available so you don't have to drive and worry about finding a parking spot when exploring the city. Very good breakfast served in their restaurant - several hot items, plus all the usual Italian items and fresh fruit.
This hotel is a little hard to find, but it's worth it. It's located in a quiet area, only a 10 minute walk into the old town centre. The rooms are large, and modern with comfy beds, and good bathrooms, the shower leaks out of the enclosure but that's all I could find wrong! The staff were helpful and pointed us in the right direction for the major sights.
