They certainly don’t go out of their way to accommodate guests wishes, the only ask I had was a 4pm late checkout, which they flatly refused. They said they were busy. Even if a hotel is full some guests arrive late. For example, when I checked in it was near midnight. The rooms and beds are ok but nothing to write home about. The air con was noisy and I had to switch it off to sleep. In the summer that can be a problem. Breakfast was just about ok but you need to wait a long time to get attention, even just to order coffee. It was busy and food was running out. The fried eggs were a mess, even the espresso wasn’t good quality by Italian standards.
We had a great time at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive, making you feel very welcome and at home. Breakfast was great. And normally I don't like buffet breakfasts at hotels because they seem to skimp on the quality, but this buffet was very nice. The little sausages were great and thank god for real scrambled eggs over that powder stuff some places use. Roof terrace is awesome. Great views of center city. The hotel itself is about a 20 minute walk to the two towers, therefore its very quiet at night. We got some good rest because of that as well. The one thing I think could be improved is adding a potential satellite bar on the roof terrace especially on nice days. We had great weather and would have bought lots of drinks, but we just went to the store instead. We didn't find out until later that you could call the bar and have it delivered, but being on the terrace to begin with would be great. Also, some amenities in the room like q tips, cotton swabs, etc would be a nice touch. Overall a great stay, would definitely go back.
Could not fault this hotel in any way. It's a 15 minute walk to the centre of Bologna via arched and covered walkways past the University. Views from the roof terrace are stunning! The Jacuzzi on that roof is a real treat. The buffet breakfast choice was wide ranging and very high quality. Our room was spacious with a huge bed and modern bathroom. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Its a 15-20 minute taxi journey to the airport costing around €20-25.
We recently stayed here for 12 days on vacation, and took day trips to various cities by train. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean in all areas and the staff were all very helpful, friendly and efficient . Our room on the sixth floor was spacious with everything we needed . The rooftop terrace was a favorite of ours. The breakfasts were amazing, lots of choice, from cereal, yoghurts and cooked food, to cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and pastries. The city center is about a 15 minute walk away, and we took a taxi to the train station which took aepround ten minutes depending on traffic . We would definitely stay here again .
Great very helpful Staff and service! A bit far from historic center, I would have preferred to be closer, but the walk was very pleasant. It has spacious clean rooms and good breakfast. It is close to main train station.
Aemilia is a wonderful hotel, slightly away from the historic Centre. The rooms are large, very well designed, with an excellent front staff and a scrumptious breakfast. The hotel was very quiet and the good sound isolation between rooms.
We recently spent a weekend in Bologna staying at this pleasant hotel. It appears quite corporate but it is well located, spotlessly clean, comfortable and staffed by charming and courteous staff. The room are well presented, the roof terrace provides delightful views towards the city & if it had a bar it would be perfect! The breakfast selection was excellent. The road was quite busy but the rooms were quiet enough. A short walk into town but there are a number of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity if you don't want to head back to the centre of an evening. We took advantage of this and didn't regret our decision. All in all a good option for your stay.
We stayed in the Aemilia Hotel with our family for 2 nights and we were throughly happy with this hotel . Very easy to get to from the airport ( we hired a car) and only a 15 minute walk into the centre of Bologna . A perfectly positioned hotel for travelling . The staff were friendly and welcoming . The only thing I can fault is the decor but we actually forgot about that because the cleanliness was top and staff made up for lacked in interior design . Would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend break to Bologna .
A fantastic hotel , great location 10 minutes walk from the Historical Centre which to be honest is a great thing. Hotel staff are amazing , very friendly ,. couldn't do enough for you . Food:- Breakfast , decent variety of food , some small delays at busy periods to be seated. Facilities:- Great rooms , comfortable bed and great shower room. No tea or coffee making facilities. Fitness Room :- Adequate , dumbbells up to 20 KG , multi-gym and cardio equipment. Roof Terrace:- Nice views of Bologna , Jacuzzi not operational until May onwards. All in all , A KETTLE SHORT OF PERFECTION !!!
