Staff are friendly It's a 20 min walk to central Bologna, not ten Rooms are nice, basic but no tea or coffee in rooms BOTH times I stayed here for work there was a dog close by that barked all day and night constantly which was a let down especially through the night
10 mins walk to the center extremely friendly staffs with clean and nice room breakfast was OK too. would go back again ... but only if the price is right... approximately €100 that is... otherwise there are better choices with better location...
Stayed here only one night after a business trip in Cesena with some colleagues. The hotel itself is quite a bit of walk from the city center, so not advisable for those who are not keen on walking 15 minutes to the center daily. Their breakfast spread had quite a big selection, which I enjoyed before separating from my colleagues and departing for some solo traveling. Staff was helpful but we had a bit of trouble with some courier services we had obtained via the hotel, which caused us to be late arriving at the airport. Other than that the hotel is great.
We stayed at the Aemilia during late December 2016. The hotel is positioned in a very quiet street about 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Don't be put off by the distance as most of the walk is under the cover of the porticoes. The hotel is modern, and the rooms are large, comfortable and kept very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel offers a buffet style breakfast with a good choice of food, but sometimes there would be a shortage of items such as cups or coffee pots. The bar area is very comfortable with a number of small seating areas, ideal for small groups. The big disappointment was the New Year's Eve Dinner. The menu showed a large number of courses comprising some local dishes. Given the large number of courses, each dish was far too big. Also, some of the local dishes were clearly not to everyone's taste. In particular the stuffed squid was a large grey blob. Black rice with squid ink, stuffed pigs trotter and grey lentils were other dishes that were visibly unattractive. It wasn't just us. We noticed many other guests (including Italians) leaving uneaten food. Italy has so many wonderful foods that could have been used. I recommend the hotel. It offers good value. Just study the menu before eating!
This hotel lacks character and is stuck in an awkward location quite far from the city centre. I would not recommend it unless you are visiting for a conference in the hotel itself. The breakfast was below the standard you would expect.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the past 5 years, and the standards have never slipped. It's clean, professionally managed and always good value. Close to the university district and the centre of Bologna (a few minutes walk) and right next to the large university teaching hospital. The staff are friendly and well-informed. The breakfast is excellent and the restaurant is good for an evening meal, but if you want a bit of variety there are a couple of decent bars/cafes a short walk away. They are very well set up for business meetings and conferences as well. Good facilities. Highly recommended!
- near train station (taxi €10) - near Bologna Fiere (taxi € 10) - near historical center (10 min. walking) - comfortable, large, clean bedroom - great breakfast - good restaurant (I had dinner) - and most of all: very polite and helpful staff
I've been here for a meeting. The room was clean and cosy, the bathroom was spacious and clean. Good continental breakfast, the meeting room was spacious, the personnel was nice - very helpful and kind. The hotel itself is at 10/15 mins walk from piazza Maggiore.
Location great, less than 10 min walk to the old town. Lovely friendly welcome and a super room, spacious, clean with a large bathroom. Stylish decor, with ample soft seating areas for gathering friends together. Complimentary bottled water + free welcome drinks + 10% discount on restaurant meals when booked direct with hotel. Planning a return visit to Bologna, and this is the hotel I shall be booking!
I've stayed here well over ten times. Each year, the service becomes better and more personal. The staff treats me like a good friend and seem to anticipate my business needs. Great location just outside the center makes parking simple. Just an overall great hotel, well run and very inviting. Couldn't recommend more highly.
