Great place to stay

This hotel had a great hot and cold breakfast featuring a section for regional specialties like local cheeses and piadini. The staff was great and provided great customer service in Italian, Spanish and English. The downstairs lobby is very nice and includes a sitting area with televisions, coffee, and water. It was a spectacular value during or off-season stay.

The hotel itself is what you expect @ the price and rating, but the staff is fantastic at making the stay a pleasure. Extra points for having local specialties at the breakfast buffet. The restaurant is good, but a bit pricey compared to what you can from the many other restaurants within easy walking distance.

I chose the BW City Hotel because it had three things: free parking, free wifi, and easy access to the highway. It was very easy to get from the airport to the hotel (less than 10 minute drive), or to get to the highway for access to other cities in Italy. The wifi was fast and easy to connect to. The parking was ample (above and below ground, right onsite, not at a garage across the street or just 3 street spots in front of the hotel). The hotel is located about 7-10 minute walk at most from the train station if you're getting around that way. The train station is also located right at the edge of the "circle" that contains the old city. So, in 20 minutes of easy walking you can be in the heart of the old city. There is nothing sketchy about the neighborhood the hotel is in or the neighborhoods you have to walk through to get to the old city. I didn't realize the hotel also offered free breakfast until I had been there 2 days, and it was one of the better continental buffet type breakfasts I"ve seen in European hotels. Room was small but worked perfect for me. AC worked well, water pressure worked well. Not the most 'romantic' hotel but really worth the money with none of the downsides you often get in old-town locations.

The hotel is in a perfect location for anyone using a rental car. There is ample parking and the walk into the city center is only about 30 minutes.
