The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast in the morning was really good and had a lot of options. BUT in the room, we found someone’s old eyelashes and a few broken fingernails inside of one of the drawers. It was so nasty.
Absolutely perfect! Very clean, quiet, and so friendly. We drive through Birmingham every summer and this will be our go to from now on
We loved the breakfast it was great, location is ok it was only 15 minutes to everything we wanted to do and only 9minutes from the Galleria. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable this was our second time staying and will be staying again when we visit the area again.
The proximity to a great restaurant is the real plus! Ragtime provided a great dinner and some decent ambience after a long night. The hotel had a great room and it made for a special trip!
My review is not taking into account the hotel construction (inside and out) or that we are in the middle of Covid 19 crisis. Our stay in a suite was great until we woke up the following morning. My family of 6 came down for breakfast to find 3 cardboard trays of frozen eggs in a bus tub of ice, 5 orange/chocolate muffins and grapefruit juice. Needless to say, we did not eat. We just went to our room and packed up our stuff to leave. I decided to say something to the manager about the breakfast. This was our 3rd hotel stay on our way to Gulf Shores, AL and the others had been very good. I thought the manager should know that I did not get what I had paid for. I stated my case at the front desk... about how the free breakfast is a major reason I pick hotels, because it saves me $40 on food in the morning and we can get on the road quicker. I wanted to let them know I was disappointed and should receive a discount for not being offered an acceptable breakfast. The manager happened to walk in the door as I was talking, so I restated my case in a conversational, calm voice... there was no anger whatsoever on my part. She said that "this was the breakfast they were offering and people were eating it. I told her that people certainly were not enjoying it. She got angry... telling me that I was attacking her right as she got to work, then ended the conversation by telling me to have a good day and walking off. I was shocked. Very unprofessional and unaccommodating.
The kitchen staff was a bit rude. However the rest of the staff was amazing and super helpful
Great stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The lobby was enormous. Our room was very clean with a great scent. Breakfast was good. Easy access in and out from the parking lot. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.
The staff was very professional and friendly. The location was near several restaurants which made it very convenient so we didn't have to travel far for breakfast or dinner.
We've been staying here for 3 weeks now, you can't beat the value and the staff is friendly.
Spent weekend at the SEC Baseball Tourney. Homewood Suites provided a nice. clean stay with good amenities for the family. Hotels can be expensive these days, but feel this stay was about worth the cost. Found the some of the continental breakfast staff to be almost rude. One staff member openly expressing her disdain of children to all within hearing distance, which included my daughter and about 1/2 dozen other kids. The only other negative was the quality of breakfast food. If paying, I would have asked for my money back. It would have been worth getting dresses and going somewhere to pay for breakfast.
