Stayed here before and generally like the hotel. Very friendly staff, good gym and good breakfast. Unfortunately this time the hot water was out and it was 40 degrees outside. Also our room had no towels

I honestly thought of sleeping in my car in the hotel parking lot rather then the room. I asked for a first floor (had about 100 stitches in my leg about 6 weeks ago). They put my on the top floor. Okay. Also just adopted a dog (I live alone and the timing wasn't great). Got stuck in the elevator. Thank goodness, after a VERY SCARY experience it FINALLY went down to the floor below. The engineer actually asked if I wanted to get back in (NO!!). They said there was another elevator on the further position from my room. The button didnt' light up and it looked like a construction site. I took the stupid stairs every time. Also, wallpaper peeling, "handicapped room" NOT handicapped (I couldn't even reach everything! and no idea how a wheelchair user would use the shower). There was scary police tape on a room. And for almost $200 (with the 75 pet fee) it was a truly awful experience. I left at 3a just to leave the hotel. Didn't even see Birmingham because I had to get out of that place!

Upon arrival, I was greeted and taken care of by Ms. Ivey who was nothing short of wonderful. She was super polite, welcoming, and helpful. Hotel is in a great area - quiet and plenty to do, within distance of a lot. Breakfast was decent as well. The only downfall was the housekeeping. Our room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned and we didn’t have too many towels or toilet paper.

Excellent experience! Plenty of space in the two bedroom suite for our family of six to be comfortable. The breakfast options were excellent & there was plenty to satisfy the adults, teens, and the preschooler in our group. We would 100% stay here again.
