Staff was amazing, breakfast very good, and bed and room very comfortable. I booked a single-bed room, but I only learned of the exact room upon check in. Unfortunately, I was given room 101 which turned out to be right by the stairs and elevator, which everyone leaving and entering the hotel must use. With the uncarpeted wood floors, room was very noisy. I slept with ear plugs and used my phone to connect to a white-noise video but I was still awakened by luggage being brought down stairs around 7 am and could hear thumping late at night and early in the morning as customers came and went. I only stayed one night and managed to get enough sleep but could not have stayed in room longer than that. I would definitely recommend hotel, but not room 101 (request a single room on another floor), unless noise is that something that is not a concern for you.
We arrived by train and it took us about 10 minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. Staff very helpful with questions and suggestions. Right on the tram line for transport to central bus station and really EXCELLENT location for exploring the city. Noisy street outside but the windows really cut down the noise when they were closed. Would definitely stay there again
The room was decorated and appointed nicely, but unfortunately the shower drain did not work so the entire bath floor flooded when you took a shower. WiFi is weak and available only in certain areas and band width is very slow. Breakfast is nice, and location is excellent. The bed is old and very stiff and hard to make comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on plywood.
5 minutes walking from Renfe station and right in the center of the city. Very friendly staff! Totally recommend.
The location was great. The staff was ok but not as fluent in English as some of the other places I have stayed in Spain. Room was not cleaned after our first night and when I brought it to the attention of the front desk. They said it was because I had out the do not disturb sign, which was not true. After some debate, They then gave me clean towels. Overall good stay because of great location.
Location, location location. Right next to train station and old city. Rooms are SMALL.
Good location which is walking distance (within 10-30 minutes mins depending on where you go) to major attractions including the Guggenheim. The metro station which will take you everywhere is also about 5-7 minutes away by walkig from the hotel. A lot of places to eat, drink and shop are near the hotel as well.
Well located at Arenal Bridge between old and new Bilbao. The hotel itself is average and a bit threadbare. Very good access to all parts of the city, close to Guggenheim Museum.
A great location near shopping, restaurants, and to explore Bilbao.
