This hotel is in a great location very near the Guggenheim. The breakfast was delicious - locally made jam and good pastries. Friendly and helpful staff. A comfortable room and bed. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Bilbao.
Having just returned from a 3 night stay in the beautiful city of Bilbao I would definitely recommend the Hotel Miro. On arrival although we were over an hour early, we were told our city deluxe room was ready. After a very smooth check-in we took the lift to our 4th floor room. We found the room very clean, spacious and modern. All the appliances worked perfectly ie TV , hairdryer & kettle. Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room, along with some lovely Gilchrist & Soames products in the very spacy shower. A very nice touch was the complementary chilled bottle cava delivered to our room. There were lovely public spaces in the Hotel. We found the breakfast very tasty. All the staff from the front desk & the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful.
We stayed at Miro Hotel on a business trip. The room was ok but the loo is just too small..probably the same size within the airplane. Breakfast is not a buffet but served on the table. That was nice but not many options though. The view of the Guggenheim museum from the hotel room is a big plus. Its an decent hotel if you plan to stay for a day or two but not beyond.
Ideally situated close to public transport, across from Guggenheim. Modern, funky hotel great helpful staff. Basic cold breakfast, eggs etc extra. Couples spa bookable but no mention by receptionist of the added cost, beware!!
Stayed in the Miro Hotel on a business trip to Bilbao. The hotel is very well located facing the Guggenheim. The hotel staff was very nice and the room was spacious (I was lucky and had a room facing the Guggenheim). The breakfast was ok but a bit slow since you are served and it is not a buffet. But after the first night you get used to it. Would definitely recommend it.
Great location, spotless, with helpful and friendly staff. It was a great room, enough space for everything, good bathroom and everything you need for a few nights. Everything worked, and the staff were lovely. They reserved us a restaurant when we asked and were ready with good advice. The breakfast was good, and the breakfast and downstairs spaces with coffee lounge are really nice. Very close to the Guggenheim, and easy walking to everywhere in town including shopping areas, bars and restaurants. We could have booked a room with a view, but we didn't, and we did have the option, so unlike others on here we weren't moaning! We thought the web site was very clear about what you got with different price options. It's a well appointed, well designed, friendly and functioning short stay hotel. Perfect if your main aim is to spend time visiting the city.
We were extremely disappointed in the Hotel Miro. Let's start with the breakfast - unless they give you the breakfast in the rate do not pay for it - really, really, really weak. Now let's move on to the room - we booked the City Deluxe with a "spectacular view" of the Guggenheim . . . hmmm? I guess if I hung out the window. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small and the bathroom / shower - well the shower did not drain and had to be serviced our first night at the hotel. Water was constantly on the floor which I though was unsafe when using a hair dryer. The free video rentals were from 10 years ago. The location was good but there are better choices in Bilbao that deliver more value for your dollar. We thought the hotel overall was very expensive for what you got. The front desk personnel were "okay" - not real friendly - simply "okay". We will return to this city and the museum which are fantastic - the hotel - no.
A bit disapointed by the hotel which is supposed to be part of Luxury Hôtels. Well located for the museum and to visit the city which is very Worth to do. The idea of the "private" spa was good but definitively not at the level to qualify it a spa. We choose this hotel for it but equipment are not well used. Steam room was not warm at all so we were not able to sit; jacuzzi temperature was too low which has not make the experience nice. As a conclusion, good hotel but do not come for the spa :-(
Speedy checkin, when I arrived everything was ready for me. Stylish lobby and room, clearly thought out to be nice and comfortable. Great location just in front of the Guggenheim museum. Excellent breakfast in nice decor room, served at the table by kind staff. I needed to change something on my invoice on checkout and once again staff was very helpful, kind and quick. Recommended for business and leisure.
Small but stylish rooms, lovely staff who provided a room upgrade and Cava on arrival for my wife's' birthday! Breakfast of local organic produce was delightful and more than enough for us despite some reviewers complaints. Would only be improved by a bar in the nicely designed lobby area.
