Informed upon arrival that hot water was not working properly, but that they were "working on it". After a long afternoon of driving to an area with cold temperatures, hot water is expected. I would never pay for a hotel that didn't have hot water. We stayed there 1 night and paid over $450+ for our room, 2 pets and parking. A hot shower should be a given. Also, asked for a late check-out at time of booking; was not informed that this was not possible until the day of check out when I "confirmed" with the front deck. She said all the "doubles" were booked so no late check out on that room. The primary reason we selected this property was for the late check out. As a gold member this is usually never an issue. I understand if they are fully committed, but they should have suggested a different type room, in order to fulfill this request when we checked in. Overall not a great experience.

Everything was going fine until the breakfast. They seemed to be oversold hotel that day. there were so many people at Breakfast which was obviously taking long to get to food. Seeing it all they could have extended the breakfast timing by 30 minutes. they litterally closed the breakfast on people's face while they were still trying to put food on their plate. it was something that I have never seen in my life.

The hotel is relatively new, clean, and comfortable. We got to do S'mores and hot chocolate every night, which our little one loved. There was also movie night but a bit crowded so we didn't join. I loved that there's coffee in the lobby throughout the day, I was able to have coffee and hot tea whenever I wanted without having to use the in room coffee maker (which germaphobes are often reluctant to use). Breakfast is included but not very appealing nor tasty - its the usual eggs, sausage, bagels, make your own waffles, oatmeal, etc, but just looked like really cheap quality foods. Overall we did have a comfortable stay, including our small pup. That said, we were charged $75 pet fee instead of the $50 advertised on the page. My pup is very well behaved and doesn't make a mess (you wouldn't have known there was a dog with us), so a bit disappointed for the slight overcharge. Parking was pricey at $29 per night. Overall it did feel a bit "nickel and dimed" for everything. For what you paid to book the room expect to shell out an extra $140 for all the additional fees and charges when you check out. Based on a 2 night stay.

Our stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton was excellent. The service was great, the rooms were clean, and the amenities were perfect! This hotel is very kid friendly with nightly s'more kits available and mid movie nights in their lobby Tv area. We will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel and room was amazing, my only small issue was the front staff could have been a bit more friendly. Edward was amazing I bumped into him several times and was informative and friendly. Definitely planning another trip soon

We arrived about 2pm. Checkin is 3pm. It was not busy and room available, but wanted to charge me $50 extra for the convenience. We chose to wait. The hotel decor was nice, but the lighting was way too bright in the lounge/dining area giving it less than desirable ambiance. Our room was on first floor. The only window was below ground with egress dug out and escape ladder up to ground floor. It made for a dark room.

I’ve used Expedia for years with no issues, but this trip was terrible. After driving from San Diego to Big Bear with my toddlers and baby, Hilton said there was no reservation. We waited two hours in the lobby while Expedia and Hilton sorted it out in the snow. Case #19935270 — I’m requesting a full refund for the stress and inconvenience this caused.

The staff was all very nice. But they were very busy and understaffed so felt I couldn’t tell them of what we found in our room. The people who were in our room before us left a used bottle of sexual lubricant and I guess housekeeping missed it. Pretty gross.
