OK, but very close to the freeway. Nice staff, comfortable beds.

I don't usually leave reviews, in fact, I don't think I ever have before but the young man that checked us in for our stay was so wonderful, and the hotel so adorable, I just felt I needed to. Sorry, I can't remember the front desk agents name but he was friendly, funny and informative. We live just an hour from this hotel but we had some business to do in the area and thought we would make a night of it. The rooms are decorated very nicely and everything was comfortable and clean. We went to the Skagit Valley Casino for a few hours and it was an easy 15- 20 minute drive down the freeway. We had the breakfast that is included in your rate and it was much more than most hotels include. Waffles, donuts, assorted breads, sausage, eggs, gravy, yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereals, something for everybody.

Staff was amazing. Very helpful in arranging for our two rooms and with directions to local places and events (and even took time to take a nice picture of my family in front of lobby Christmas tree). The room was clean and nice. The only less than optimal feature was that the breakfast room was in a different building and required walking across a parking lot in the rain. Otherwise this is a nice lodging option in the Bellingham area.

I travel a lot on business and bring my small dog with me so can be a challenge to find a comfortable yet pet friendly hotel. I was very impressed with this Best Western, great location, quiet, clean and very comfortable, and staff is great. It's my new favorite in Bellingham and we will be back!

This is a fairly convenient location right off of the highway. There are plenty of food options near by within walking distance. It is a quaint place. The rooms are very easily accessible form the parking lot. The breakfast is nice, a step up from your standard continental breakfast (biscuit and gravy fans will be pleased.) The beds are incredibly comfortable.

Reasonable distance to WWU. Close to dining, shopping, and highway.

We stayed at the Heritage In a number of times a year agoo when our son went to WWU, so when we needed to be in Bellingham for the weekend we booked it again. This hotal has been kept up and renovated beautifully. Cody, the gentleman at the desk at check in as very welcoming. Records were in order. The room was clean. We were somewhat curious about whether the room would be ok, since for the first time we brought our dog, and had requested a per-friendly room. Would it b....uh....smelly...from prior pets? It was perfect, no odiferous reminders of prior pets!!! Only small issue is that we were the first room inside the entr next to the ice machine, so we could hear everyone who cam and went,, and this made us concerned that our dog remained hyper-vigilent. We were afraid he would bark and disturb other guests. Turned out he handled it and only let out a tiny arf twice. I left my special pillow and we received a call from the front desk before we were five miles away, so we were ablee to turn around to run back to get it. Great attention. Everyone very cheerful from the cleaning people to the desk people. My only slight criticism was the breakfast (which was fine, don't get me wrong): the scrambled eggs sort of floated on a layer of water, perhaps from condensation in thhe covered chaffing dish, the OJ was a bit off. But they definitely get credit for effort and variety. A pretty darn good breakfast, with boiled eggs, yogurt, link sausages, bagels, toast, make-your-own-waffle etc. The staff was on top of keeping things tidy , which is always appreciated!

One night stay. Airport shuttle was easy. Staff was extremely friendly. Very safe.

In all other ways, a very nice stay. Asked night manager for 4:30 wake up call, did not get it. I told staff at the front desk about the missed wake up call before shuttle/breakfast in the morning, his response "Well, someone just didn't set it."....not what I wanted to hear. There are 2 phones in the room, one by the bed and one on the desk. The desk phone was inoperable, no dial tone. When I reported the problem to the front desk staff, he told me to "dial 9" and it would work. That would be correct if it had dial tone, but since it did not, I told him again that the telephone was not functioning. He again said something about "dialing 9" before placing a call. Now I have 35+ years work experience in the telephone/computer industry but since I was not in the mood for an argument so early in the morning, I told him I would go back to the room and check it out. When the desk telephone again did not work, I went back to the desk and told him that yes, the telephone is not functioning. He replied "Oh", and stood looking at me like "what do you want me to do about it". I told him to make a note for maintenance, so the next guest would have a working telephone. What a way to start the day! STAFF MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR STAY!

We had an unexpected illness and couldn't make it to the hotel but I called the front desk and explained the situation. They were very understanding and helpful! Since the room was pre-paid for they allowed my son to stay instead. No fee. No hassle. Thank you!!

I was going to the club with friends and need a room for the night. This hotel was wonderful. It was clean and very stylish. I am a fairly big guy and the lady at the front desk upgraded me to a larger room. I would have definitely stayed longer if I need to and if I need to stay in Bellingham again I will stay there.

Clean and close to shopping! Will come back.............

The room was spotlessly clean, and had very nice decor. My room was on the 4th floor, looked and felt more like a bed and breakfast lodging. Plenty of space in this king bed room. The bedding was super comfy and the TV seemed to have a million channels. Did not hear a sound my entire stay. This place is quiet! The breakfast was very acceptable for this price range. The staff was attentive and kept the food items well stocked. I would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting in the Bellingham area. Great location near freeway, mall, restaurants, etc.

Needed to stay for business meetings. Pleasantly surprised at the Best Western Brand is not consistent. Room very clean and comfortable. Beds were great. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment, but will definitely stay here again.

The staff, from shuttle driver to desk, were absolutely outstanding. This was unexpected so notable. The beds are comfortable, the grounds around are surprisingly peaceful. Kind of a quirky layout,, as there are multiple buildings, but that seems to add to the appeal. If you are in Bellingham on a sunny day, the pool at this hotel is very pleasant.

Bed very comfy, room nice size, breakfast and staff great. Did not realize there were no elevators - and several buildings but they were able to move me to a building with a ramp and on the first floor. Same bldg as Breakfast room so that was great. Able to hear all my neighbors at all hours of the night though so not very restful. Close to mall and stores.

The biggest issue is noise. Can hear just about everything from people talking in the hall, the doors closing, water running and people/staff getting going in the morning. And it starts very early. Other than that, terrific. Get a lot for your money. Take ear plugs.

Pros:The complimentary cookies at the front desk are good and the free full breakfast assortment was delicious. The room was two queen beds and had plenty of room. Comfy beds, nice flat screen TV, and free fast Wifi. Cons: Most every time I would leave the room my room key card would not work and I would have to go to a different building to get it reprogrammed - Very frustrating. The noise from other guests coming and going and from the next door room was annoying - Like they were in the room with you.

I wanted to rent a room that had a kitchen and TV, sort of like a mini apartment because I live with a lot of people and just wanted some space to myself for the day. My best friend and I watched 6 movies straight through, ate delicious food, including the continental breakfast :D

Very close to shopping and other amenities. Service is good and breakfast is included.
