Hotel was fantastic. Could not fault it in anyway. Staff were very acommodating. Bar was lovely, again friendly staff. Everyone enjoyed the food. And we all commented that we would defintely return.
Had issues with the internet on the 5th floor, changed rooms to 3rd floor. No problems from then on. I would of liked the large screen to be removed from the restaurant area only but kept on the bar area. I realise this may not be the wishes of everyone who stays.
Stayed in the hotel for two days. Excellent location. Just short walk to the bus station to and from George Best airport. Near shopping center too and less than 10 minutes taxi ride to the titanic museum. Good size room, staffs are helpful in the reception and restaurant. Price for English breakfast is reasonable with amply selections of cold and hot food. Ate dinner twice during my stay. My only comment is bacon sauce for the steak I ordered. I usually order pepper sauce but I was intrigued by bacon sauce so I ordered it. Not going to repeat same mistake again. I like bacon but not as a sauce. The rooms has no safe so if you have something valuables that you don't want to leave in the room, then you have to see reception to store it. A bit time consuming if reception is busy. Plus a few amenities inside the room would be nice like a bottle of water, small shampoo and conditioner and maybe body lotions too.
We stayed here for a family get together everything was perfect rooms spacious, beds comfy. We all had a meal and everything was first class from start to finish will definitely be back
We have stayed in the Ramada Encore on a few occasions before and it just gets better each time. The staff are very welcoming from checking in to leaving we couldn't have asked for more. Sean in reception was very helpful. We were looked after by Aisling for our evening meal which was delicious and the service was excellent. Would like to thank John for his hospitality,he always makes us feel so welcome. Looking forward to our next visit. P.s The breakfasts are fantastic .
I have stayed here numerous times for business so could be with colleagues or on my own but find the hotel very central to other bars and restaurants in Belfast. the hotel itself is clean and comfortable with everything you would need to make an overnight stay enjoyable. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast selection is of a very high quality and offering. Would recommend this to anyone. I would rate the value as Excellent however am not certain as my company cover bookings
Overall it was a good hotel, only real issue I had was the bed. I did not feel it was comfortable and ended up sleeping on the floor with the blankets down. I did not report it at the time as I only needed it for a couple of hours by the time I reached it. Wouldn't hold it against the hotel as everyone enjoys different mattress types. Another issue I had was the night staff refused to allow guests I was travelling with and others to eat food in the bar area at 1am. I personally felt it was to get the bar emptied. I see no reason why the food could not be consumed in the bar area given that the restaurant had finished serving food.
Due to an extended work trip, I stayed at the Ramada Encore for eight nights in August. The hotel was booked for me via the travel agency my company used to use. I certainly would not stay here again and would not recommend, which is a real shame because the restaurant/bar and reception staff were great. But the standard of housekeeping was appalling. Dust left in rooms, sheets not changed regularly, curtains falling off the windows, dirty carpet not hovered for days in corridor, I could go on. When I complained, the receptionist asked me to write an email of complaint to the manager as she said the cleaners were contractors and there had been a lot of complainants. She was very polite and helpful throughout my stay and seemed genuinely frustrated by the lack of quality housekeeping. My other issue was that there was a rather seedy feeling outside the hotel and just in around the lobby/bar on weekend nights. This really put me off. It was odd because during the week and during the day, there were plenty of families and it felt safe but there a very rough (not just people partying) feeling on weekend nights. Also, as pointed out by previous reviewers, the storage in the rooms is minimal, so if you have to stay like I did, it didn’t really suit. Room was spacious and had a panoramic view of the city, though. But that didn’t make up for the disappointments.
Nice hotel and well placed in Belfast, short walking distance downtown. Our room was with an extra door into another room so you could hear very well what was going on in the other room. The bed could have been a little bit better. Nice staff, very welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast buffet. All in all a good hotel well positioned.
I’d like to say from the start that I have no real issues with the hotel. The gentleman who checked me I was pleasant. My room was very clean, functional & comfortable. My complaint was in the morning, I went for a beer before checking out but waited at the bee for a very long time with no sign of anyone serving. There were people sitting with drinks, so clearly someone had been behind the bar. Finally another customer had to go looking for service. When the guy did appear. He was incredibly surly. He didn’t say hello, please, thank you. Absolutely no common courtesy at all. I had a second beer because I was early but was met by the same service. What a shame that he was having some kind of bad morning because it reflects on the overall feeling for the hotel. Nevertheless, the general review is good, & I would stay again. Just not visit the bar here.
