Good, clean, comfortable hotel, conveniently located to major attractions. Very good breakfast buffet

Good stay and good experience. Hotel staff was very good and helpful.

We had a king bed, which was fabulous. The room had more than enough space, the bathroom was kept clean. The hotel lobby was tidy, we had great time during happy hour at the lobby bar. The only downside I encountered was the Women's bathroom where the sauna is located. Unfortunately the bathroom always had a foul smell, seemed like there wasn't much up keep done in there. The sauna was great after a long day though.

I had problems with the consierge to store an ice pack in their freezer. The hotel does not have a protocol for this. So the consierge wanted me to deal directly with the hotel’s restaurant. I refused and asked for a receipt since it is their job to arrange how and where this would be done. They just gave me a handwritten (in Chinese) paper saying I have an ice pack in their freezer. This, after I insisted strongly because they wanted me to leave the ice pack without a receipt.

Hotel was a smooth check in and check out. The room was spacious but needs upgrade the bed mattress kinda hard pillows and blankets where good.the concierge was very helpful in getting our tour packages.there english is not as good but they try.the breakfast buffet is ok but everyday is same food.nothing diffrent every other day.its walking distance to the pricy wangfujing st with high class malls and very crowded.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. It is very well located, cose to the subway, the forbidden city and Wangfujing street. Very good buffet for breakfast.

Walking distance from the Forbidden City (~4 blocks). Plenty of shopping in the area and nearby train station. The rooms were big and clean. Wish the bathroom was more updated but it was clean with plenty of amenities. We included breakfast which is very well worth it. It has a huge selection of both western and local cuisine. Made to order soups, omelets, crepes, waffles. Yummy!

Very nice hotel, central to walk to most areas in downtown. I felt very secure. Staff goes over the top to help with any issues. Would stay again there anytime.

This was my second trip to Beijing with my family. I liked the location of the hotel as it was very close to the major attractions in town. Initially, during my check-in there was a bit of a misunderstanding with the front desk clerk named, Eileen Qin who was quite rude and could use some customer service training. I have stayed at several Novotels around the world and am used to getting excellent service. I was not aware that I had booked a standard room. The standard rooms are in a separate wing from the main hotel, very smelly, dingy, hot and tiny - kind of like a motel. I requested an upgrade to a superior room which was much better and like the Novotels I'm accustomed to. The service improved significantly after I spoke with the front desk manager.

Good, great location and friendly staff. Room was a little small amNd bed was not that comfortable.

The hotel staff was wonderful and sent a car for us when we were stranded at the airport. Gary was fantastic helping and advising us on tours and where to eat.

Very good hotel, perfect staff. No bath in the premier room was disappointing.

Great location near shopping, restaurant s and subway. Breakfast was great. The room temp was a little hot and could not adjust

This was my third stay in this hotel. The location was my main concern on this trip and I was delighted once again. Overall, this hotel is friendly and comfortable and offer a great value for its cost per night that just went up recently. Still a good bargain if you want to taste French Food " à la Chinoise"!

Nice location and economical for what you get. Close to key attractions

We were very happy at the Novotel Peace. In fact after the first 4 days we came back at the end of our stay for an extra day. The location is perfect; the breakfast is better than the Sofitel (the best in town)in Xian and it is the best feature of the Novotel. It is good value for the $$$. The staff spoke English so I am planning to use Novotel peace again next time I will go to Beijing.

The hotel is within walking distanace to Wangfujing, the central tourist and shopping location. Rooms are nicely appointed and English speaking staff are very friendly and helpful to business travelers.

I had chosen to stay at the Novotel again, this was my third stay. Primary motivations: location and English speaking staff. The walk to the forbidden city is short (25 minutes?) and may take you through a pedestrian commercial, some city parks or typical neighborhoods. I have stayed in 3 different rooms/floors. I would recommend asking staying in the main tower; the adjacent building is seemingly older; the furniture older, but the bathrooms have the new and clean look and feel. The carpet though is old. Also the tower will get a room at a floor higher up and the view can be nicer. Staff was friendly and helpful (when i did not like the double bed but smoking room) they gladly changed me into a different room (non-smoking as I asked but two single beds). I had requested non-smoking and king size bed. Not available. Would go again (in the tower).

All good, it is not the cheapest hotel I found but it is good value for money with all is needed. The room was clean and location was just perfect for sightseeing with no problems for taxi to go anywhere at any time.
