I went to the first room and the was a howling noise coming from the window area. When I checked the window it was shut but so loose that even "locked" you could shake the window a good half inch. Plus this was right off the roof walkway. The safety factor alone would deter most. I shut the blind and they were covered in what looked like a some kind of mutant crickets. The straw that broke the camels back I go by the bathroom and it was a mess. I explain this the front desk and I get a new room. As I'm walking to the room you can hear a shower running in my mind I'm thinking man these are thin walls! Nope!!! I pass a couple doors and notice a room door wide open with the bathroom wide open and a "gentleman" showering away for all to see.

This hotel must have been really something in its hayday. The rooms are still quite nice but there's a little bit of a musty smell in the common areas. Breakfast was more than adequate. The food was good and there was a lot of variety. I'll stay here again. I liked it.

This was the last stop on our 3 week anniversary trip around the world. The room was beautiful and HUGE!! It was very clean, we had a view of the park and it was a great location and easy to get to the Forbidden City. Room service was prompt and accurate (and actually cheaper than eating downstairs!!) but housekeeping doesn't pay any attention to the no service light. They came in our room everyday despite the light! The staff in one of the restaurants was rather rude too. She didn't even acknowledge my presence, only spoke to my husband and wouldn't even give me a menu to look at. We also did the tour they offered for the great wall and that I DO NOT recommend! They made it seem like it was a private tour but it wasn't and we had to drive around to other places to pick up others. We didn't get on the road until 2 hours after they picked us up. The drive was insane too!! But... overall experience was great. This is a really nice hotel.

I stay at the Inner Mongolia for a lay over night, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel staff was very friendly. Had a very nice morning walk to the park across from the hotel, and enjoyed watching the younger generation of Chinese athletics playing sports, which was also conveniently located across from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was quite an experience, the selection, the food was very good. Enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend this hotel for friends and family.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and each time, we are more amazed. Beside the usual hotel services, it was the unexpected surprise that got us this time around. A member of our group happened to be staying here on his birthday. Without letting anyone in the hotel know, the hotel took it upon themselves to provide a special birthday cake (a delicious one). Obviously, the hotel staff took it a step further when they check for our documents. It was really a special surprise and we were all so very impressed. Nice job, Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel. You have earned our loyalty whenever we are in Beijing. You have provided great service each and every time, from the bell hop, arranging private driver, providing a wheelchair when needed, making sure that we are safe with cabs that we use, and now, the birthday cake. Can't ask for more. Highly recommend this hotel.

When I booked this hotel, I just wanted someplace affordable and within walking distance of areas of interest. I wasn't expecting anything great but instead was blown away by how good the hotel was. The clean and spacious rooms along with excellent staff service was a definite plus. The breakfast was plentiful and East/West style. I highly recommend this hotel.

decent hotel, close to city center. value for the buck. a little bit hard to get cab from this hotel however. rooms are fairly clean. would definitely stay here again on business given the value but not a luxury hotel for vacation.

good location, walking distance to subway, walking distance to Tiananmen square and WangFuJing district.

I had a great stay. The room was clean and well maintained--higher than the standard large Chinese-run type of hotel in downtown Beijing. The only downsides were that there wasn't wifi on my floor and the room AC was very confusing to set. I eventually had to call and have someone set it for me.

Upscale hotel with many amenities. Really appreciated its location; relatively close to train and subway. Very accommodating in arranging transportation for our large party.

This was a great stay. We were set up in a junior suite with a lavish king bed, living area and two baths. The staff was friendly and helpful - concierge in particular though all spoke some English and tried to help. Location next to metro stop and close to many walking destinations, yet off the main drag, couldn't be better. And the price was kind of outrageous.

I am sure that this was a superb hotel in its day. Great location and a fair value.

The cetral location was great for accessing public tranport & walking to nearby shopping. The staff super helpful. The rooms sper comfortable.
