The front desk staff Vaibhav forgive me if i have spelt his name incorrectly. Was happy, courteous, knowledgeable. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs to have a great weekend. The staff in the restaurant made you feel like you was part of their family. We have travel extensively and we can say that our room was top tier.

Wait for check in. Room nice enough, but the building is shabby outside and the view from the window was grim. Waited 10 minutes to get into the restaurant for dinner, then another 15 minutes to order. Chaotic service with starters and main arriving at the same time, had to send back, had to grab people for drinks. Ordered drinks that were said to be unavailable just to see them turning up alongside alternatives. Looks liked there were several Xmas parties and staff simply couldn't cope- I felt quite sorry for them. Breakfast had a good selection, but quality was now great. Clod has browns and chewy sausages and lines for the coffee machine. Pool was nice and bed comfy, and there were complimentary drinks in the fridge which was a nice surprise. .

I stay regularly at this hotel. Its spacious, modern, clean and staff are great. The only Con is on three occasions my rooms have been freezing cold - heating is not substantial for the rooms.

As I walked up the stair to my room there were vats of paint in the stairwell. Tools. Wall paper ripped off. Carpet ripped up and thrown in the corridor. Strong smell of paint workmen swearing. During dinner I asked for an additional truffle butter never arrived, I asked again the flora arrived. Third time it turned up we had no bread left and then the butter was added to my bill.
