Nice big room, lots of space for all our motorcycle gear, good sized bathroom, very comfy bed, nice little pool for cooling off after a long hot ride, excellent hot shower and a great continental breakfast included.

Good location. Included breakfast was a welcome surprise. A little more traffic noise than we expected. Ashtrays along the shared verandah encouraged smoking directly outside every door. Not pleasant for non smokers.

We were upgraded to one of their recently refurbished rooms with king bed. The bathroom was adequate with a large showerhead - great for travel-weary folk! A few little extras such as fly spray and air freshener were a bonus. We had a great sleep as the hotel was not located on the highway. Saying that, the only problem we had were the truck-drivers checking out of the hotel accross the road starting up their trucks early morning. We ended up leaving early and missed our complimentary breakfast.

Room neat and clean. There was regular plumbing type noise from the toilet cystern. Location was good-within walking distance to eating places. Parking was good. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful

We used this motel as a base for a family celebration . Excellent service provided by the front desk as we booked in additional guests . Quiet location even though just a block from the Main Street. Exceptionally clean & comfortable !

Governor Macquarie Motor Inn Bathurst The Hotel is well located on the eastern side of the CBD, just off the Mitchell Hwy (approx 50M). It is a 5 minute walk to the shopping district with a number of Fast food outlets within 100-200m. There is a lovely park on the banks of the Macquarie river (5 minutes walk) with a number of Historical buildings and monuments to the Founding of the city and its early Pioneering families. The Motor Inn looks like it was built around the 1960s with most rooms elevated about 10 steps off the ground on the first level (flood precaution?) Wheelchair access accommodation is available. There is ample off street parking for vehicles. We were advised that Rooms are currently classified into three quality levels, Budget (Double bed), Renovated (Queen bed) or New (Queen or King bed). This report relates to the mid level known as 'Deluxe' or Renovated. The reception service was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and fresh with no stale smells. The 'renovation' does not relate to the whole room, rather a partial job. The Shower and Toilet room has been retitled and has a new Toilet. The Shower worked well with good Hot water and pressure. The Hand basin sits outside the Shower and Toilet in the general bedroom space. It was probably original with the basin and vanity both cracked and showing age. (see photo) There is a new Inverter A/C mounted above the hand basin with, curiously, an older Reverse cycle A/C mounted on another wall with a sign apologising for its being there while also stating that it didn't work. The bed and pillows were comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep. The carpet was in good order. The was no noise evident from the Highway. The TV worked without fault. A mini bar fridge is supplied (no ice tray) along with Tea and Coffee making facilities inc. fresh Milk. For drinking there were two mugs, two wine glasses and two water glasses. The room rate included a Continental Breakfast for two, served in the main Dining room. Food choice included; two juices, 5 Cereals, 4-5 Breads, Preserved Fruits, Yoghurt, Full Cream and Lite Milk, Tea Bags, Filtered coffee, Butter, Margarine, Vegemite, Marmalade and Jam spreads. The toasters worked well. Paper serviettes were of a thin quality, requiring several for any sort of spill protection. Tables were bare with no paper or cloth covering. Daily Telegraph newspapers were available to read.

Well located for access to shops and restaurants. The room was reasonably spacious and clean and tidy. There are some stairs to the rooms! The continental breakfast buffet was quite good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Recommended. (Tamarin Indian restaurant nearby) :)

Stayed one night. Good location easy walk into town. Our room was upgraded. Although the furniture was dated the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool and BBQ area, although we did not use, was very clean. Light breakfast was included and suited our needs. Great value. Would stay again

Okay, but could benefit from a refurbishment. Seems to be popular however with tradie's and road workers. Location was okay, just outside the main city centre. Parking was at a premier on the night we were there.

Only stayed for one night before returning to Sydney. We booked an Executive one bedroom suite as it seemed very good value at around $200 for the night. Although a little dated in the bathroom, the suite was huge, extremely comfortable, well equipped with comfortable furniture, large fridge & huge TV & was spotlessly clean. Although the main road wasn't too far away, the suite seemed to be well insulated from any noise which meant we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The continental breakfast included in the tariff was up to standard with a good selection of cereals, toasts & accompaniments. Only negatives were the wall mounted dispensers for shampoo / conditioner etc in the bathroom (definitely not a fan of these things & always take our own product just in case) & the TV in the bedroom was not working, however, that wasn't a big deal as the huge TV in the lounge room worked perfectly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Governor Macquarie & would recommend it to others.
