Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst

I was fortunate enough to have booked and received a fairly reasonable rate for a two bedroom unit. Having stayed at most other places in Bathurst Rydges is by far the best appointed with modern facilities, spacious rooms and more importantly an off Highway location . Given its position on the Mt Panorama racing circuit there are times of the year when both noise and cost would preclude most people from wanting to stay. However outside these times, unless your a motor racing enthusiast, you'll find your stay most enjoyable. Prior to travel I noted a number of other reviewers raised concerns about the cleanliness of some of the rooms. Apart from some loose hairs on the bathroom floor the rooms were of a standard expected. Would recommend

This place is amazing and staying here again was the best decision I made. I booked this for one night only and was comfortable, best service from the staff and overall the attitude of staff was impressive. Location is right on the track and as it's an actual road, I obviously took on the Mountain and was not disappointed. Just a tip, don't speed or you will know a hole in your wallet. The room was big and comfortable with the most amazing bed you can sleep in. Even though it was cold outside, it is nice and toasty inside and the view from the room was amazing and so close to the track. Definitely staying here again.

If you are driving anything larger than a Small sedan be ready to practice your parking and vehicle exit strategies. The Motel is everything that you would expect from a Rydges branded property however whoever designed the car park should go back to architecture school and study carparking in Australia NOT Europe. Others on Trip Advisor have mentioned it so I was relieved that it just wasn't me. I watched as other infuriated guests juggled passengers and luggage out of the vehicle before driving into the car space. It's not as though the facility is inner city and short of space. Aside from this the room was superb and extremely well appointed. The PERFECT viewing platform for the big race. Certainly worth a stay despite the parking shambles

We were very happy with our stay at Bathurst Rydges. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and lots of room to sprawl out. Our only problem was the parking area was very tight (It took us four goes to squeeze between to 4WD's), and only one way, so we had to reverse back almost to the entry when we couldn't find a spot and hope no one came behind us. Also it would have been good to have ordinary black tea bags as an option as well as the English Breakfast and Earl Grey. BUT they were only minor problems. Beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was fresh and varied, being included in our booking. Joining the Priority Guest Rewards when we booked gave us a discount on our room too. Will stay again.

We stayed overnight at Mount Panorama, like most people, for the view and location. Our room was great, clean and spacious. However, our experience at Chicane (the in house restaurant) ruined the stay. I'm lactose intolerant and asked for the dairy free options at dinner. I was optimistic, especially since the menus say that dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Sadly, if you are lactose intolerant (which is NOT a choice) little is done to accommodate you. I was advised the only main available to me was the steak but they could not give me any sauce with it and, for dessert, I could have fruit. What made it worse was that the kitchen sent the waitress, who was caring and understanding, rather than discussing this with me directly. As a result we left and headed out to a nearby restaurant. The menu and sorbet and coulis (both of which are generally dairy free) and could have been made into a dessert. While I would have accepted the only main available may have been steak, I don't accept that they could not have made a fresh sauce in the pan to accompany the steak. No issue with staying there again - but I wouldn't eat in. If you have dietary restrictions I recommend you are prepared to prepare something in your room or go out to eat.

as a long time fan of the Bathurst race I just had to stay here. I was very happy with the whole place. Our room was clean the bed extremely comfortable The staff were friendly. We ordered room service for our tea and it arrived very quickly and what we ordered we were satisfied with. Would recommend

This is my hotel of choice in Bathurst. I travel for work. Although the bathrooms are in need of a make-over the hotel is lovely, warm, clean and inviting. I enjoyed my stay once again. Did make the mistake of turning the heating off instead of down to sleep. It's freezing in Bathurst at this time of year.

Stopping over in Bathurst for one night this property was recommended by a local. We had to book six rooms, two with disability access. The woman handling the Booking could not have been more helpful or considerate. She was able to put us all on the same floor which was just perfect. We all ate in the restaurant in the evening and had the Buffet breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was very good. The evening dinner could have been better. We were so lucky to be given a special room rate. The usual Bathurst Races room tariff would make your eyes water. And being 'out of season' my husband was able to drive us in the car on a lap around Mount Panorama, while my Mother recounted her days riding around on horseback. I would highly recommend this property .

Have stayed here a couple of times in the deluxe studio suite which has a kitchen and spa bath. There is also an undercover car park. Each time we have stayed, the check in service has been reasonably quick and the rooms very clean. All rooms have a view of part of the Mount Panorama race track. On each occasion when we stayed breakfast was included. Once we also dined in the restaurant in the evening. The restaurant food was nothing special and the evening meal prices were a bit high for the quality that was offered. The hotel is a little bit out of town but you get to have a nice and quiet stay.

Paid extra for a deluxe room. Room was a good size. Took a long time to check in where I could hear the people in front of me being told certain details about restaurants being closed, etc. but this information was not relayed to me. Check out was quick & easy. There was a 15-20 minute wait for a table for breakfast in the morning & the buffet was not replenished of food so our choices were limited, noticed they put out more food 15 minutes after we had sat down to eat so a little disappointed. Room was a little colder than it should have been - stayed first weekend in July and it was a very cold but air con did not adequately heat the area. Woke up in the morning cold.
