We stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst visiting Puglia. We asked for a quiet room and got a beautiful large bedroom at the rear of the hotel with separate lobby area and large bathroom. We noticed a couple of small issues in the room and reported these to reception when we were going out in the morning. When we returned just after lunch everything was fixed. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of everything. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Bari.
Best about this hotel is the location. It is right next to Bari vecchia and shopping streets. We stayed there 2 times and both times service, rooms and everything else was the same. They have a terrazzo upstairs with a nice view and they charge very well for an opportunity to eat dinner with a view.
I stayed here for 2 nights following a tour as the Hotel Oriente was full. I would not consider this hotel 4 stars at all. The room was in desperate need of a paint and refurb. The toilet flush was so loud and the hotel staff quite unhelpful and lacking in basic customer service skills. Having travelled extensively, I haven't had this type of experience since the 80's when I was staying in 2 star hotels called Pensione and even then the hotel rooms were basic but not as dirty as this one. I had prepaid for my breakfast and left early the last day to make my early flight and was not even offered a breakfast box. First time ever that this has happened. I definitely would not be recommending this hotel to my clients.
I got a very friendly check in experience helping to get a room and catch a conference. The location of the hotel is good to spend time in downtown and walk close to the sea. The hotel rooms are old. I was expecting to have a safety box at least.
Nice hotel well located off one of the main streets in Bari. Very close to BariVecchia, to Via Sparano, and to Lungo Mare. Rooms are fairly spacious and bed was quite comfortable. Front desk staff is very responsive and attentive. Breakfast was included with the stay - wide and tasty selections and very good wait staff. More attention should be given to cleaning the room. Carpet wasn't vacuumed once during our one-week stay; dirty glasses were not replaced with clean ones; neither were toiletries once they were finished; items offered in the mini-fridge weren't replaced once consumed; Kleenex box left on the side of the bathtub instead of put away in the wall-mounted container specifically for the box.
Loved this hotel. The location was fantastic so central to everything. Pity the Reception staff on checking in werent friendly and welcoming but everything else about this hotel is excellent and would recommend it.
The hotel itself is a little tired and the bathroom could have been cleaner. There no excuse for the multiple dirty fingerprints behind the bathroom door. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and the air conditioning worked but with wafts of garlic cooking or smoking every now and then. All the above could or would have been overlooked if we felt we were wanted as a guest. There was no greeting when we arrived, we were given no information about the room, the cafe nor the existence of the restaurant. We were only given the key to the room door and once inside discovered we needed another card key to operate the lights etc. Whereby we had to go down to reception. We thought it might just be an one off, but on the following morning they same mood dealt with our departure. Overall, its an ok hotel in a good location which provided a good breakfast, but I don't want to stay where I am not welcome so next time I will choose another hotel.
Great central location with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Generous breakfast and efficient service. Hotel just looking a little shabby in places and the view from the windows was very disappointing.
Hotel good location for getting to Bari airport and exploring old town. There is very good breakfast. We had some misunderstanding about room rate I suggest confirming and bring copy. Cleanliness could be better in bathroom. Hotel staff friendly but not appear to want to go out of their way. But did work for us only stayed 2 nights.
We stayed for 4 nights this last trip and so glad we did. Very well kept rooms, lobby, dinning area! From the bathrooms to the beds to the staff, we we're very happy, when we go back we will defiantly stay here. The breakfast is a very spread to start your day off on the right foot. We have stayed at a few hotels in Bari and this one has been the nicest so far. The location is very close to everything and in a very safe part of town.
