We had a great stay at Soho Hotel. We were lucky enough to get an upgraded room which was appreciated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern and in a great location. The only let down was how dark the rooms were and sometimes the room smelt unpleasant. We would definitely stay here again!
Spent a few nights here for the second time. The hotel is a bit more worn than the last time, which is not strange given it is several years ago. We had a room with a terrace, which was great! Staff was helpful and the breakfast was excellent with a lot to choose from (even cava!) and nicely layed out. The rooftop is not as nice as for exempel Hotel Axel, but still OK.
Nice place, very well located with a helpful staff. I would definitely recommend the breakfast. Well worth it however we booked it with our room reservation which gave good value for the dollar. Overall we were very satisfied with our choice.
Very nice hotel, highly recommended for any tourist wanting to visit Barcelona by staying close to the heart of the city. The room we stayed was a "Double Superior with Terrace" and it was perfectly fitting to our needs: something special, not a usual room... very nice ambient for spending some relaxing hours after the exhausting sightseeings during the day.
We stayed at the SOHO hotel from Dec 17 to Dec 23, 2017. The hotel is very modern, the staff genuinely friendly and helpful, and on the nearest metro station (Urgell) is only steps away. We loved the different settings for the intensity and color temperature for the lights in the room, as well as how clean and well kept all the facilities are. Only observation is the way the bathroom tub was designed - it causes some water to spill in the floor as you shower. But just ask for a couple of extra towels to absorb the mess, and you are good to go. Other than that, we are very, very happy with our stay. As a bonus: even though the hotel does not have a gym, they can give you day passes to a very modern nearby gym. We will gladly come back to this hotel, on our next visit to Barcelona.
Very friendly staff, clean and new hotel facilities, room cleaning daily, good breakfast that even includes a few vegan options - smoothies, soy milk, fruit, etc. We received some chocolates from the hotel on Christmas eve which was a lovely touch. The location is good, shops and restaurants within walking distance, easy hotel transfer with Aerobus. We walked to most of the tourist destinations, but underground station is right outside if you prefer to use it. On things to improve, as we don't speak Spanish we were a bit disappointed that there were no English channels on the TV (apart from CNN). Also soundproofing between the rooms could be better - a baby was crying next doors at night and early in the morning and that woke us. To summarise the above, we enjoyed our stay and felt that we got a good value for money. From my experience the hotel is not far from 4 stars rather than 3.
Picked the hotel partly for convenient location for both aerobus and metro. It's perfectly situated for access to both. Very nice contemporary hotel with mood lighting and furniture in keeping with its style. Notice a few comments regarding the blinds to the bathroom, these can be completely closed and afford full privacy if required. Personally I liked the idea, enough said. Excellent breakfast, book at the hotel you may get a better rate! Special mention to the staff who were working for the duration of our visit; absolutely great, attentive and very helpful.
A group of noisy guests woke me up at 4:30 am. I could't sleep at all afterwards. Reception solution: next time come to us (reception) and we will change your bedroom. I don't believe that changing suits at the middle of the night is a proactive solution... disappointing.
We had a really great weekend getaway in Barcelona, the hotel was well positioned and was everything you would expect from Soho House. When we arrived we were given a room upgrade which is always a lovely start! The hotel was a little noisy the weekend we stayed as it was their annual party, my husband was not so amused to be answering our bedroom door at 3am to some drunken revellers! That a side it was a great hotel with fantastic staff!
We visited this hotel for one night when visiting Barcelona. This hotel is centrally located and has a metro station just a few hundred metres away. We had a few problems getting into the hotel when we first arrived. The sign for the hotel is sort of hidden so we didn’t see it to begin with. The main door also looks very like a window and is tinted so we couldn’t even see the reception desk inside. It also didn’t open when we walked up to it, further leading us to believe it wasn’t the entrance. We then continued to walk round to the back of the building looking for the front door! We concluded in the end that the ‘window’ must be the door and noticed a small buzzer to press without any instructions as to what it was for. We took a chance and luckily it was the bell to get the door open. Moving on to the accommodation itself. We had an internal, courtyard room but there were other rooms with street facing windows available for an extra cost. However, I felt that the internal room was fine for us. The room itself was quite modern...there were different lighting settings and you could control the blinds by pushing a button. The shower has a clear panel which means people in the bedroom can see in, however, the blinds can be pulled to obscure this view. The room was fairly spacious and the bed very comfortable. The noise from the street could be heard in the room, but that was to be expected in a city centre hotel. Reception staff encouraged us to leave our key with them when we were going out, which I found quite strange and have never had to do this before. We got the aerobus to Barcelona airport the next morning. The stop is fairly close by. You leave the hotel and turn right, then turn left at Carrer del Comte d’Urgell then at the next crossroads the bus stop is on your right. I think this is a good hotel to stay in if you are visiting Barcelona as it is central and all tourist spots are easily reachable by foot or by metro.
