We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, it's a great hotel in a great location, rooms are basic beds are huge and comfortable. We arrived at the hotel after midnight so very tired, when we checked in we were asked to pay for breakfast which we had ordered, we explained we only wanted breakfast on 1 of the mornings as we had an early flight home but were told we had to pay for 2 days of breakfast - we were too tired to argue and so paid 36 euro for breakfast. The guy was not friendly at all nor was he friendly when we checked out. Will return to Barcelona as the city is amazing but will not return to this hotel mainly because of the rudeness and inflexibility.
A nice little hotel, close by Catalunia Square and several metro stations in a nice and lively neighbourhood. Two mornings in a row, there was no hot water in the shower. This is not OK - even though we got free breakfast as a compensation. The gym/fitness room is better than advertised: the pictures showed no treadmill/running - there is such a machine, of good quality. No weights, though.
This hotel met our needs well, It was not overly expensive, in a great location just blocks from La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. We had a room for three which was a nice size. Rooms were well maintained and it had a cute little gym and rooftop pool!
A lovely hotel close to the Plaza de Catalunya and easy walking distance to La Rambla. Large, well decorated rooms. Ours with a nice view of the Rambla de Catalunya. Friendly staff and good breakfast. We stayed the first night on La Rambla. Definitely a quieter area.
Relatively good location - not exactly on La Rambla, but about 7 minutes away through Plaça de Catalunya. Good enough location though with some great tapas and bars nearby which are probably a bit cheaper than if you were on La Rambla itself. The hotel itself is modern, the rooms are quiet with air con and as we paid a supplement a small balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was an additional 9E pp and well worth it, with a hot and cold buffet and a good coffee machine. The pool was small and cold but as it was on the roof the sun deck was nicely sheltered from any breeze so was a pleasant place to while away a few hours mid day.
Stayed here with my husband for our 3rd anniversary. It was in a lovely city location. Staff were lovely and spoke good English and the hotel was well air-conditioned despite the heat. Lovely restaurants with quality food just outside the hotel. Will definitely come back here again!
This hotel is located in an excellent location, walkable to everything. The room is fairly large, and very clean, however, it is very basic, not frills. Our room faced La Rambla, and was very quite. We were on the second floor. The bathroom was large, and had all the amenities, shampoos, hair dryer. You can get breakfast included for an extra charge. It was a basic breakfast, with rolls, hams, cheeses, yogurts, eggs and such. We were there in September, and the hotel prices were still expensive, but worth it for the location. There was a work out room and a pool; however the pool was very small.
Placed on La Rambla, the hotel is close to the main attractions on the city( near placa de catalunya, gaudi house battlo. Also a good location if you come for shopping . Verry clean, friendly staff and with a great breakfast . Another plus is that from the balcony of the room you see the whole pedestrian boulevard that connects you to the atmosphere of the city.
Check-in was good. The room was clean and very nice. Air conditioner was working properly at first but then the hotel fixed it. We had an inside room so it was very quiet. Only a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas. Many good restaurants to eat at all around.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved it. Big room with a nice big bathroom, a balcony, everything is clean and well taken care of. Fantastic location, a lot of restaurants and shopping places, walking distance to practically everything, if you prefer public transportation instead- there are multiple options of it as well within a 5-minutes walk. Most of the reception staff could have been more courteous and at least acknowledge you when you are passing by, but it may just be cultural differences so it didn't bother us. We have not tried their breakfast. The only complaint is that we love having a mini fridge in our room- not a mini bar where drinks and snacks are pre-selected for you, but a fridge where we can keep out own food.
