Stayed from 12th June for a delightful city break. We have had one night here and are pleasantly surprised with hotel. The room is extremely pleasant and clean. The breakfast this morning gave lots of choices all self service of course. The pool and gym areas although not large were adequate. But it is all about location and it is very central. Would stay again.
It's a great hotel in a good location. Breakefast was really delicious, staff in a front desk was nice and helpfull, there is a pretty good wifi, room was spotless and nicely done by housekeeping every day. We really enjoy our stay in this hotel.
A small boutique style hotel only 2 blocks from Place de Calalunya, with lots of restaurants and metro nearby. We had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony window, facing the avenue la Rambla. Room decor was typical of Barcelona hotels, modern decor, but very clean. One draw back was that there was no coffee/tea making facilities, but there was a small fridge. However, the main problem was that the room had no air conditioning, and it did get fairy warm at night. The hotel did loan us a fan which did help. Breakfast was included in our room rate, whilst not A1, it was adequate with more than enough choices. The lady at the reception was very helpful, explained where to visit, and was kind enough to loan us an electric kettle to make tea. Would stay at this hotel again.
I went for breakfast on my 1st morning @ 11 as advertised 7-11....I understood this to be last sitting 11am as would be the case in any restaurant worldwide. The waiter said 'No No No Breakfast FINISHED' so I proceeded down to Reception to sort out the confusion but when I asked the Receptionist the Front Office Manager who happened to be there didn't let her answer but told me that if a flight left @ 11am I wouldn't get on & I said with a flight I must check in & if I knew I had to check in earlier I would have. Such a rude young lady, I never saw her again, she had no name tag but thin with long brown hair & I never got my breakfast that morning....such bad customer service. Another bad experience was with the night male receptionist on the Tues night when a guest was using the public computer. My husband went down to ask if he would be able to print a boarding pass out for early flight the next am but he said they didn't do that & that also he would be closing the public computer room as soon as the other guest was finished as it was late. Again rude, very bad customer service letting an otherwise quite pleasant stay down. Would suggest some retraining from front office management down🙁....I did email the hotel while staying there & as yet haven't gotten a reply🙁
Stayed here for 3 nights and never once did I feel hospitality from the people at the front desk (if there was even someone there). In fact staff was on the verge of being downright rude. On the day of checkout we left quite early in the morning (around 4am) so the front door was locked and two of us were there wanting to get out and get a taxi but he would't unlock the door until the third person signed for the additional room charges. Did he think we were going to run out on the bill or something? Had to ask for more bath soap and shampoo because housekeeping didn't refresh them after cleaning. Just overall a bad stay and would not stay here again.
Great location, with helpful and friendly staff. Despite the location, very quiet and no street noise. Very clean and modern decor. The breakfast is also lovely, with a continental selection. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Barcelona.
This was a lovely old hotel snuggled one block north of La Place Catalunya making access to the sites of Barcelona simple. The room itself was basic but clean, the bed was comfy and the French balcony looked out over the street. Breakfast was a typical European breakfast in a lovely restaurant type room. The staff at the front desk were knowledgeable and helpful. Access to the metro, hop-on-hop-off bus and the city bus were all in the Catalunya square. If I am lucky enough to return to Barcelona we would consider staying at the Onix Rambla again. The only down side was we asked for a room with a queen size bed but our room had twin beds.
Nice hotel with big and clean rooms! The bathroom was huge and amazing!! The wifi was excellent and the breakfast too! I would like some nutella though.. ;-) on the 6th floor there is a swimming pool and a fitness center!! The hotel has great location, near la rampla and everything you need!
On this trip to Barcelona we tried the Onix Hotel on the Rambla Catalunya . The front desk staff were very welcoming and spoke English. The room had a city view, king size bed, minibar and included a breakfast buffet. It was very easy to walk to the city center sights and the tour buses are conveniently close. The Metro stop is a block away. The room was very clean and had a balcony as well. There are many nice restaurants close by.
Stayed here 3 nights on a Stag Weekend. Very clean and simply furnished, the bed were comfy. Within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was OK, a fair bit of choice Would stay again when in Barcelona.
