The apartment is quite modern and has almost everything you will need. The location is very good and in a safe location even if it was a little noisy a times. However there were a few areas of improvement required. The beds were very hard and you could feel the springs. The couch had the cushions detached when we arrived, so we advised management, but after two days, I ended attaching one of the cushions myself (could not get the other one attached) so we could not sit on half the couch. There were several light bulbs out and the remote for the TV had corroded batteries in it. Also it took a few days of calling before we had our receipt e-mailed to us.

PROS: Location - 15 minute walk to Sagrada Familia, 10 minutes to Passeig De Gracia and Casa Battlo, another 5 minutes to the top of La Rambla, 2 minutes to Girona Metro station. Fresh food market and supermarket 20 yards away. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bars nearby including the excellent "9Nine". Apartment - For 3 of us we hired a one bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the lounge and it met all our needs. We didn't find it too noisy either. Full size fridge freezer but the freezer needed defrosting. Good aircon and decent shower. Good wifi. CONS: The unresponsive keyboard used in the self check-in process causes no end of problems. Every group of people I saw checking in during our week long stay had problems including us which necessitated phoning the central staff. Don't try and check in before 15:00, it doesn't work.

The apartment is fine, we pretty much got what we expected. The check in arrangements were a disaster. Having just flown from Australia we arrived tired only to find no front desk and instructions to call a telephone number on the front door. We didn't have global roaming and our phones were unchanged after our long flight. We asked for help at the bakery downstairs but the lady just rolled her eyes and explained she was sick of guests asking for help in her shop. I eventually had to stop people in the street to ask if they could ring for us. When we did finally gain access to the building the auto checkin machine was unresponsive and further time was wasted....what could have been a good stay was totally messed up by the hotels check in arrangements.

Booked to stay here for 2 nights. Family of 2 adults 1 teenager and 1 child. Highly recommend them for self catering in Barcelona. Very clean and have everything you need. 1 bedroom (ensuite) consists of 2 single beds, living area with sofa bed and kitchen was fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine too.

MH Apartments in C-Girona 110 is in a convenient location but needs a few things fixed! We had rung prior to arriving and fortunately were given the code the open the door to the lobby. If you don't have the code you have to ring to get it and with no phone that is a challenge. Next you have to approach a very, very unfriendly automatic check-in machine. We found the number pad did not work properly. We heard noises and eventually found a maid who showed us the phone to ring reception at a remote location. The phone is cleverly almost hidden behind the machine. We learned even though prepaid we had to pay a city tax. The person at reception was linked to the machine and finally got us checked in and our key dropped down. The apartment had no instructions for the induction stove which we found difficult to use and our toilet seat was broken. When we let them know they sent someone to assist very promptly. There were very long and complicated instructions for the washing machine and the bathroom sink drained poorly. The sofa is also a sofa bed and very uncomfortable to sit on. We had trouble getting the TV to work. Also there is some street noise so ear plugs might be handy. But....furnishings were good, location fabulous with lots of services and shops nearby, and very clean. If they fix things it could be great.

Great location with some supermarkets, cafeterias and metro nearby. It takes about 10 mins to walk to Casa Milà. Overall environment is clean, However we can't find drain in the bathroom, so it keeps wet unless you mop the floor. In addition there is no flavoring in the kitchen. If you want to cook, you have to remember to prepare salt, pepper in advance. If you need larger taxi to airport like van, MH apartment can help with it, and it's really great.

My partner and I have stayed in apartment hotels previously in other European cities and always enjoyed the experience. I decided to take my mother away for her 70th birthday to Barcelona and again decided that an apartment hotel was the way to go, it would allow us to relax in the morning and not rush about for breakfast and also to relax in front of the TV after a long day walking. There are several Mh apartments in Barcelona so please make sure you look at the reviews for the one you will actually be staying in! (I feel I may have been looking at other facilities in error) Upon arriving at the apartments, we had not been made aware it was self check in and did not have the door code to access the building. Luckily I have European services on my phone and I was able to call the number on the door to get the code. I found the automatic check in clumsy and frustrating as the onscreen keyboard was quite unresponsive. The apartment itself was nice, the furnishing was modern and the view was good. The location was excellent (10 to 15 minute walk from train station and places of interest such as Sagrada Familia) We had booked a twin room but were surprised to find the beds together, we were unable to move these apart as the bedside tables were fixed to the walls. If I had been travelling with a friend instead of my mum, I think this would have made for a rather awkward sleeping arrangement. When staying in an apartment, we are used to finding essentials such as sugar, salt etc but there was no such touches in thus apartment. There was not even a dish towel or oven mitt and we had to resort to taking a towel from the bathroom for this purpose! The TV is advertised as having satellite.. However I may have misunderstood this concept as the only stations available in English were bbc world news, cnbc Europe and bloomberg Europe. The TV also regularly lost signal and I was unable to even get English subtitles on the other channels. I ended up sitting my tablet in front of the TV and using Netflix so my mum could watch something other than the American stockmarket projections. Only after returning have I looked at the correct reviews and noticed someone else mention the noise. It really is noisy, the scooters and sirens continue late and I did feel it affected my sleep somewhat. We discussed the noise while there and decided that most apartments and hotels around Barcelona would be quite noisy due to the layout and busy traffic. Overall the apartment was nice however I doubt I would return if I was looking for somewhere quiet to relax.

The apartments are fully furnished with all amenities supplied. The lounge has a fold out sofa double bed, a separate bed room with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. a small safe is supplied with override key. a sturdy 5 bar double lock on the front door

This review is for MH Apartments Suites, 110 Carrer de Girona. This is important because MH Apartments have several properties in Barcelona, and I think some previous reviewers may have muddled them up. Location is two blocks from Girona metro station, on the same side of the city and perhaps 20 minutes walk from the Sagrada Familia (probably Barcelona's biggest attraction). A large supermarket and fruit/vegetable market is across the square, a few minutes' walk. The apartments do not have a person at reception. Instead, you need a door code number to get into the entrance, then check-in is at a machine which drops the room key at the end of the process. We e-mailed MH before leaving the UK and were given the door code, but you can also phone them on arrival. We had booked a one-bedroom apartment but were upgraded to a 2-bedroom. It was modern, well-equipped and in good condition. Everything worked, including very effective and quiet aircon. The excellent kitchen had everything - cooker and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, clothes washing machine and coffee machine, A small cleaning pack (eg dishcloth, towel) was provided. Clever layout meant that bedrooms were separated from the hallway so we did not hear other residents or the lift while in bed. However we found the big problem was noise from the streets. Despite being double-glazed, the windows provided poor sound insulation from the busy roads beneath. Motor-bikes, sirens and public service vehicles made noise late into the night, and when coupled with firm beds, this did not give a good night's sleep. We did get used to this after a couple of nights, but since many tourists have a short stay in the city, this is an important factor. These are lovely apartments but they are most suitable for those who have no difficulty sleeping whatever is going on around them! But when reading reviews, please bear in mind the possibility of confusion between different MH apartment blocks.
