Situated in the heart of the gothic quarter, this spaceous apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms was perfect for a five night stay for the three of us. It is deceptively modern inside and has a nice little rooftop terrace for a cold beer after wandering around Barcelona for hours (and hours)!
I had the very great fortune of staying at these apartments for a four day break in March and will most definitely be back and can not recommend the place high enough. We were made very welcome from the very start by the receptionist of the shop downstairs who could not do enough for us. The facilities really were first class and the location was superb. The layout is ideal for two couples even though there is room for more and the decor is to a very high standard. It is very easy to get to among the small narrow streets and is ideally located for all the main tourists attractions, restaurants and bars. As someone who holidays abroad regular it is unusual for me to say this but the accommodation really was part of a great trip for me and I will most certainly be recommending this place to others
Lovely apartments in very central location. Great bed, bathroom, and large kitchen area. We lucked out and got an entire floor with 2 suites because original unit was out of order. Check in manager was helpful and speaks English. Check in at shop she runs right next door. Many shops and restaurants around. Only minus is that cooking smells stay and can’t really use balcony as it is located in a narrow street/alley (of course since it’s the old town).
We stayed for a week in Inspired Apartments. We - two adults and two children- had all the space we needed. Separate bedrooms and bathrooms and a nice living room with a small kitchen. It is located close to the beach in a nice area of the old town. It wasn’t noisy at night. We got good help from the very friendly staff and we would definitely come back a stay again.
I can not say enough positive things about our stay at Inspired Apartments. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment (myself, husband and 6 month old daughter). We were greeted and let in by Alex, who gave us the low down and told us where to find things at reasonable prices, what to see and avoid, etc Throughout our 4 day visit, Alex was continuously helpful in providing advice and direction (easily found every day working at the attached gallery). The building was very secure with multiple locked doors. It is centrally located - you can walk easily to the beach and to many tourist activities and great restaurants (as well as very close to the hop-on, hop-off stop!) Some others mentioned loud noise from the street. We stayed Tuesday-Saturday, so maybe we missed the weekend commotion, but my infant was able to sleep through it - so it must not have been too loud. There was also A/C which made it very comfortable for us, and we never experienced issues with the WiFi (though Alex warned us it was not great - it always worked for us, Netflix and all). I also loved having a kitchen and a washing machine - we made our own breakfast every morning and went home with clean laundry! I would recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.
We have just come back from 5 wonderful days in Barcelona and our stay in the 1 bedroom apt. We were received by Alex who is a gem. Lots of good advice on where to go (and places to avoid) and great restaurant tips. The building is very secure and has a safe for valuables. Although the apt is not 100 % soundproof, it was not hard to get a good night sleep. The area itself has a good selection of restaurants, groceries, bakeries and boutiques. It is far from la Rambla, a number of shopping streets and the Barcelona Cathedral. We didn't have any problems getting in touch with our hosts by e-mail or by phone. Will definitely stay here again!!
we booked this hotel back in December for an upcoming trip in May, got an email today saying that due to unforeseen circumstances they can no longer offer us accommodation, less than 10 days before we leave home. We had booked through Expedia and called them, they did not know about the cancellation and tried to call the hotel to verify but the phone number is not in service. BEWARE!!! call ahead to check on any plans you have with them
We arrived early, so our room was not available upon check in. We loved Alex, front desk manager at gallery next door. She recommended a great restaurant around the corner. We ate a delicious lunch, returned and Alex told us to go ahead up to our assigned apartment on 5th floor. Housekeeper was still cleaning the room, but at least we could put our bags down and sit down to rest after our very long overnight flights. Grocery stores, wine stores, and restaurants are nearby. Gallery next door offered stamps and a mailbox for sending our post cards home. Our 1 bedroom apartment was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Location in city center was ideal. Apartment had 3 little balconies overlooking Calle Regomir, from which we loved to have a glass of wine while we people watched. Roof deck was small without a view (due to high security walls) but was a fun place to sit and talk. Surprisingly, at night, it was not noisy and we felt safe leaving our windows open. Building was secure and we had a great time for 2 days/nights prior to our cruise. Loved it and will return!
This apartment has the foundation to be a lovely place, but so many things failed my group of 4. We selected a 2 bedroom apartment and were given the apartment on the 4th Fl. The apartment itself is very roomy, but that's the only pro. It all goes downhill from hereon. Our wifi did not work. We tried every corner of the apartment and our free LTE from our US provider (T-mobile) ended up being the sole internet provider for all four of us. NO HOT WATER! Not even warm water! We stayed for a total of three nights and both restrooms offered no warm water. Four tourists stuck taking cold showers during "winter" season in Barcelona. Fun. Apartment is also not "soundproof" as stated and the streets get noisy at night. Very lucky that earplugs are a thing bc they saved us. Now the worst part of the trip - The staff. I wish I got the names down of the people, but I didn't. So I'm hoping the owner of this property can pinpoint this on his own. The lady with blonde hair who checked us in was fine, but the taller non-gentleman who we saw for the rest of our stay wasn't. he's tall with dark curly hair tied in a ponytail. He was awfully rude to us. We asked if the property had one extra night for us to pay+stay due to a late flight, and he told us no - which is fine. We then asked if we could possibly check out a bit past 11AM and we can pay extra, and he was very firm on the 11AM checkout - which is also fine. What's NOT fine is the day we checked out. We mentioned to him that we would be leaving our luggage in the shop after checkout and he told us the night prior checkout that it was no problem. We were downstairs at 10:55AM the day of our checkout and found the shop (Inspired Gallery - where they do checkins and checkouts) was closed. What? Gates were down, lights were off. We lingered around with another couple from FL 3 who also wanted to check out for a few minutes. Now it's 11:10AM and still no one in sight. How does a shop have a 10AM opening time and it's 70 mins past and no one is still at work? How is 11AM the checkout time but there's no one in sight to help with the checkout + luggage? We ended up having the call Jordi who is the owner of the building. He told us that someone will be at the shop in 1 minute. It's now 11:20AM and the rude guy with the ponytail finally shows up. First thing he did? Not say sorry! He yelled at us! And told us sarcastically "thanks for calling Jordi. you didn't have to do that. you can just wait outside". Excuse me? How the heck were we suppose to know what was going on? And why was it on us to protect you from getting yelled at by your boss when you're late for work? If he knew he was going to be late for work, he should've told us we had an extra 10-15min for checkout the night before instead of making us wait out in the cold. We then proceeded to ignore his mean remarks since we had to leave our luggage at the gallery for a few hours. He angrily told us to bring our stuff down to their small basement through narrow curvy stairs ourselves. This was said to one male, and two pregnant women (myself included). Wow. Nice. Make two pregnant ladies go down the stairs with their heavy luggage. I will never be back and will advise everyone to stay away. The apartment has kinks that can be fixed such as the WiFi and boiler, but you can't fix people. He was so disrespectful and essentially ruined our trip.
its located in the center of barri gotic and walking distance on a lot of places we wanted to visit. in addition, jaume metro station is nearby. lots of good restaurants and bakery close by. the apartment is really nice with a washer/dryer. plan ahead if you want to wash your clothes because drying takes quite some time. Alex was really nice and helpful. the only thing not good about our stay is they dont clean the room daily nor replace towels/bedding unless you request for it. we stayed here for 5 nights.
