The location is a little bit outside the main drag. I arrived late in the evening so there was not much choice in terms of places to eat locally. Still found a good place around the corner though. The hotel receptionist was welcoming. The hotel delivered what I wanted a good nights sleep in a comfy bed with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was a bit more challenging as an Asian tour group filled the hotel completely so not easy to find a table with long queues to find food. I assume that this is not a problem on an ordinary day in the hotel. All in all a hotel I would stay again

On being allocated this hotel by our cruise specialist for a. 3day stop over following our Celebrity cruise I checked previous reviews made by recent guests. To say I was concerned by the comments made was an understatement .....rarely have I read so many negative comments....I wrote to the hotel seeking clarification and was pleasantly surprised to receive a response within hours. My concerns were covered by a thorough review of the adverse comments made with the main thrust being that they mainly arose following a housekeeping problems which had since been rectified. However it was with some trepidation that we decided to accept the hotel. Our arrival at reception was smooth, efficient and with all our questions about local facilities/travel being expertly fielded by a knowledgeable Ana .......nothing was too much bother. We were offered a view of the room allocated and found nothing untoward..To be fair we did upgrade to a room with a sea view. The room was clean, sufficient wardrobe space, free safe, adequate bathroom facilities with toothbrushes toothpaste, soap and comb being provided. The only drawback was no face flannel but we did have our own! Breakfast was truly acceptable with English breakfast being plentiful in choice and very hot....constantly being replaced as items were being taken. Continental cold meats fresh tomatoes, cucumber and plentiful fresh fruit being available...fresh orange juice was refreshing. Local bread roles etc fresh and truly sumtious. All in all sufficient to set you up for the day! Throughout our three days we found the friendly reception staff to be excellent....all our enquiries being met with genuine efforts to help...nothing seemed to much bother. Although a considerable walk into Las Ramblas it can be done...local hop on hop off..buses are plentiful with a really good service although quite costly. We took advantage of the local fish restraunts for our evening meals..be aware costly approx. 60 euros for two with nondescript wine at an exorbitant price. However Hugh portions and extremely tasty with pleasant surroundings. So a very pleasant three days leaving me to wonder why some individuals had not experienced likewise.i have no qualms in recommending this hotel and have nothing but praise for the hardworking reception and breakfast staff . We are both in our late seventies as are our travelling companions who totally agree with our comments...we are regular travellers and although this is not the best hotel in which we have stayed it is fit for purpose and served us well.

Hotel rooms are overly simple for a so-called 4* hotel, they are not very clean, smelly (although I had been promised a non-smoking room) and noisy. Appliances are extremely basic and the whole atmosphere is cold (pretty much looks like an hospital). The 1st evening, I decided to have dinner but was so poorly received by the staff (restaurant was empty but I understand why) that I decided to leave immediately and had dinner outside. The following day I left the hotel prematurely and booked somewhere else in the centre. Not professional at all.

Location of the hotel is perfect. It may be preferable if you are there for vocation. It was also easy to walk to the CCIB. However, rooms are not comfortable enough and the breakfast was poor for such a kind of hotel.

A nice hotel on the beach front in Barcelona. Had a great view of the beach from our room! Rooms are a bit basic but have all you need! Breakfast was pretty good, just missing beans in my opinion. Would definitely stay again :)

Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast continental with some hot food as well. Large selection of food in buffet style always being replenished. Did not eat lunch or evening meal so cannot comment. Twin room at the back. Large window that can be opened which was excellent. Air con system was quiet and worked well. Large bathroom with clean facilities and plenty of hot water. The towels are a bit thin so we did request a change when the cleaners came in daily. Kettle, coffee/tea etc, fridge, tv and good wifi. Only three plugs for charging, one in bathroom, one for a lamp and one for the fridge/kettle. Unfortunately the rooms are not totally soundproof. Good location with the beach a 5minute walk across a main road. You can walk into the centre which is a couple of miles and very pleasant with plenty of restaurants etc the nearer centre you get. 10minutes inland is the nearest metro Selve de Mar and then about 10-15 mins into Playes des Gracia which is the centre or you can swap lines underground to go anywhere. Would highly recommend the travel ticket options depending on your length of stay. We bought a hop on hop off bus ticket for our first full day to get a feel for where everything was (stop very near hotel) and then bought a 3-day Hola BCN travel ticket which was brilliant and we got more than our money's worth out of it. The hotel is in a decent area, with a few eateries and supermarkets for water etc and is a lot cheaper than being in town even with the daily travel which was no hassle at all. Would highly recommend this hotel for maybe a 3-day and longer stay.

I spent in this hotel 2 nights and had a half-board option. Location is perfect: 5 min walk to the beach and 10 min walk to nearest metro station (Selva de Mar). I wanted to book a room with sea view but it was impossible to do by travel agency. But, I saw a poster in the hotel elevator: pay €15 extra and get room with sea view! I do not understand, why I can upgrade my room only in hotel? My room was a double for single use on the 4th floor. Unfortunately the bed was not a double, just 2 narrow beds pushed together. When I opened the window I saw the sea from the left side. TV was flat and fixed on the wall. There was a AC, water kettle and fridge. Fridge was not empty, there were 2 little bottles with still water and 2 little cans with Pepsi Max. If you need a normal content of minibar there are 2 choices on list and you can order it. Bathroom was equipped very well. I visited restaurant 4 times: 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners. Breakfast is a buffet with wide choice of hot and cold dishes, including the sparkling wine! On the dinner you will get a menu with limited number of meals, but it was good enough. Different starters, main course, dessert and glass of wine ow water etc. On the first evening my wine glass was completely filled, but on the second night only half... When I asked to add wine, they asked from me extra charge! Very strange behavior in the country where wine is cheaper than water... There is also a well equipped gym and sauna. On the second evening I wanted to visit sauna and asked the permission from reception. I have got a special key and had to wait 20 min when it will be heated. There were 2 hot rooms: first one is Finnish sauna and second one steam bath which they call Turkish. As I remember from Turkey there is not any steam in hamam... Steam bath came from Rome, not from Turkey! On the last morning I asked to postpone my check-out time in 1 hour, but reaction was negative. I had to leave my baggage in luggage room, but they gave me the sauna key and I had good place for changing my clothes. In summary: nice hotel, good food, very polite service on reception and perfect location. I recommend this place to everyone!

I went on holiday with a friend as it was a sight seeing holiday this hotel was great. There are a few things I would say , there is only 2 mains sockets for things like your phone and if you both need it one is in the toilet and the other is for the fridge or the kettle as they share the same socket .And the other is the evening meal not great . I will say you are close to the beach and the tour bus stops . If you don't mind walking you could walk into the centre of Barcelona and it's not long just walk to the beach and when you are facing the sea turn right and walk till you reach the marina it's a lovely walk .La Rambla is great to see and some nice places to stop and eat and drink .

The hotel management must find a solution for the lack of electrical outlets: every person has a telephone and charging it in the bathroom isn't a solution. (The only electrical outlet near the bed is always used by the refrigerator). Everything is as expected for the clasification of the hotel. It is worth trying it.

My partner and I stayed her for 3 nights week commencing 14th August. Pros- SOME friendly staff (there was a really smiley chef/waiter who wouldn't stop smiling, good on you, also the guy that met us for breakfast with the top knot in his hair, very nice). Breakfast was ok, a large selection of pastries, yoghurts, French stick (although I'm not sure how fresh), cooked and cold foods. Beach is 10 minute walk away, but beware!!! Lots of topless women sunbathing including a variety of ages.. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Vending machines selling water in the corridor for €1. Bed was made and towels changed daily. Luggage weigher in reception for €1. Not far from a supermarket, stocked up on water- 30cents for a large bottle. Near to a a beach bar which was lovely to visit in the evening. Receptionist was helpful when we asked what time we needed to be at the airport, she advised us there were staff strikes and to get there an hour earlier. Cons- The beds are not for tall people! I am 5"9, and my partner 6.. our feet were hanging off the bed!!! Very uncomfortable. We were on the first floor, not a very nice view and the rooms are very small. Perhaps this is the reason for the small beds? Lots of loud noises during the night, we were next to the lift so unsure if that was the cause. Very very rude & ignorant waiter in the evening. It was 10:30pm, bar closes at 11pm, we were standing waiting to be served, the waiter came up and went and stood behind the stand near the restaurant; completely ignored us. Went and spoke to the receptionist who asked us if we would like him to phone the waiter... ring ring, ignorant matey surfaces and serves us. Sitting drinking our drinks, and at 11pm on the dot, the majority of main lights get switched off by ignorant matey....... so I got a really big floor light and moved it, just to make the point. We found him EXTREMELY INFURIATINGLY rude and ruined our last night to be honest. Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. Marks on the wall. Overall, not the most pleasant stay due to rude staff and the most uncomfortable beds imaginable. I would not give this hotel 4⭐️. Choose your destination wisely (especially if you are tall).
