We stayed at Hotel Denit Barcelona on the last leg of our vacation because of the proximity of the hotel to the Aerobus Stop at he Placa de Cataluna. It was literally steps away from the Cortes Ingles Dept. Store, 2 min walk to the bus stop. Very convenient hotel, clean and bright and modern. The staff was especially nice and welcoming. Nice restful sleep. The room was spotless. I cannot complain! I will stay here again when I visit Barcelona. Thank you Jovana. You are pleasant, nice, welcoming and helpful.
Located on a small, but easy to find side street just off the airport bus drop off station at Catalunya Metro stop. Easy walk to Las Ramblas and Paseo de Garcia. Really it seems to be in the mid point for seeing the city. Easy access to bus and metro and the airport can be reached using the metro....easy, but takes about an hour. The front desk personnel very helpful providing directions to numerous sights. Rooms are Scandinavian in style, so the beds are low, which may be a problem for some. The breakfast was adequate.
Our previously booked apt fell through when we arrived in Barcelona. I started calling around to hotels at midnight. The staff at the Denit was very helpful & reassuring. They staff the desk 24 hours and were able to give us a room. The room was small & spare, but clean and comfortable. There was a coffee pot in the room. There was no street noise. There is noise from the hall but we found other guests to be careful about it, so it wasn't a problem for us. Since we booked directly with the hotel we could get breakfast for free. The breakfast had lots of choice including pastries, fruit, bacon & eggs & yogurt. The staff gave us advice on places to eat, how to get tickets to things, etc. The airport bus stops very close by & we took it easily. Staff printed our boarding passes & arranged cabs. When we returned to Barcelona for one night before flying home we decided to stay at the Denit again, instead of near the airport, reassured that the desk staff would help us navigate the ongoing strikes as we tried to get to the airport. It helped that the train stopped nearby in Placa de Catalunya, since the metro was not running. Sadly we left too early for breakfast but staff made coffee for us to take on the way. This is a good location near transit, easy to get to airport & sights. We found the room very reasonably priced & clean. It is not a luxury hotel. But the staff elevated the experience further than the more luxurious hotels we stayed in on our trip.
Walls made up from thin wood. Every time a neighbor opened a door to their room, it felt like somebody literally walked into your room. Worst sleep ever. I have also left an item and hotel offered to send it back for a 55 euros - unbelievable price. Would not recommend
The hotel is very close to the Metro. We were welcomed at the hotel Denit in a very friendly way by an English speaker. Our room is quite nice , not large but efficient and decorated in modern manner. A nice shower and bath. The lighting coud be better but seems sufficient, certainly not as many outlets for our devices easily accessible, but enough. It does have a safe and windows that open. There is an elevator. Hot pot with instant coffee. Wonderful service from the staff here. Nice cubby holes and drawers to put things. Windows open for fresh air when wanted. The dining area is on the ground floor and is beautifully lighted and modernly furnished. There was a great variety of selections for breakfast including breads, muffins, rolls scrambled eggs, ham or bacon,Tomatoes roasted, yogurt, fresh fruit, jams, meats cheeses, of course, coffee and juice, and cereals, too. A good way to start the day.
Nice location, but we had a problem. After we checked out we were advised by email that we would be charged 300 euros for the replacement of a sliding glass door to the bathroom that we were accused of breaking. We were very surprised because we did not break it, but did notice some problem with it when we checked in. The lesson I learned here was to photograph & report any problems in a room right away when you check in. The hotel did not believe us that we did not break the door, but stated that maybe we broke it but we were not aware of it. They charged my credit card so I had to contest the charge & eventually the charge was removed. It appears we were not the only guests that they have tried this on, based on some other reviews.
I was satisfied with the Denit. The room was small, cozy, but functional. Good beds, clean shower. The street is narrow and dark, room is dark also, but this is the price for having some more piece. There is no traffic and not many bars, so you can sleep well. Just around the corner is the Aerobus stop (200m) and rambla district, with bars, shops, etc. Get a good deal and book the hotel!
Hotel Denit is a fantastic choice to serve as a home base for one of the most exciting cities in the world! Located just off Plaza Catalunya, down a small pedestrian street, you'll find yourself ideally located to explore Barcelona. From BCN, the Aerobus (Under 6 euros one way, 11 round trip) drops you around the corner from hotel. Taxis are readily available in the square at all hours also. You're two streets over from the northern border of Las Ramblas. Barcelona is particularly pedestrian friendly and the central location makes accessing all neighborhoods simple. Because the hotel is on a small pedestrian street away from the plaza, it is quiet. Our room had a window that backed to a neighboring building and while it wasn't silent during the day, we didn't have any issues with noise at night. We stayed in a Large room that wasn't palatial, but fully functional. King bed with small nightstands, a wardrobe with shade blind covers for the closet and the sink. Bathroom consisted of toilet and good-size stand up shower. There was also a small desk, half of which was taken up by the coffee service. In room safe is available in wardrobe. The room is modern (read: sparse), but again, fully functional. Bed was firm but not uncomfortable. Internet connectivity was reliable. Breakfast is available in the hotel (included if you book direct). Located in the basement, you have a variety of coffees, juices, pastries, toast and cereals. (See pics from other reviewers). It's a convenience that's nice, but we only used once in our 4 night stay (either we were up to late, or it was more convenient to grab things on the way to whichever site we were headed. Staff is not super warm, but helpful when asked. There is a computer in lobby that can be used. The printer never seemed to work, but staff allowed me to email to them and they printed for me. Overall, I'm happy with our choice. The location just really made everything easier. It wasn't the most luxurious room, but it more than met our needs. I booked rather late, so my rate came out to just under $200 USD a night. A bit high, but ultimately worth it.
We just loved hotel Denit It is in the BEST location and very welcoming and stylish We also ate dinner at their sister hotel which was amazing (and we got a 30 percent discount on food) Every detail well thought out and great hospitality Lovely staff It is just so central and easy walking distance to everything Highly recommend hiring bikes as it is an extremely bike friendly city However hotel actually offers free scooters Look no further this is it
Barcelona is the last stop on a 3 week vacation. We got here late and when we got to our room we were surprised at how small it was. My wife and I were tripping over each other. There is an option of uphrading for €10, but it was late and we were tired, we could do it tomorrow. But for as much time as we spend in a room, so what. Hotel staff is nice, breakfast decent and the place is convenient to Barcelona.
