This is the 3rd time we come here! This time with friends and they love it!!! Thank soooo much grupotel for make our visit so nice and comfy! This hotel is close to everywhere! Just ask at the front desk what you need and they’ll assist you!!!!

This hotel is in a great place in the city centre. It is beautifully maintained, staff are friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of the city. Nothing was too much trouble. The drinks were excellent value and there was a great choice at breakfast. Well worth a visit

We enjoyed our week long stay here, room was modern and clean. Staff were friendly.i liked the pool area-only downside was limited sun loungers/space.i liked the location of the hotel and the fact there were convenience stores in close proximity.

We have had the hest week in Barcelona. The hotel location is superb, with plenty of restaurants close by. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful. We good recommendations for tings to do an restaurants in the area. Outstanding service 😀

We stayed here on our honeymoon in September and we would definitely come back again. Overall, Grupotel Gran Via 678 is an excellent 4 star hotel located more or less in the heart of Barcelona. We arrived a couple of hours earlier than check-in but the reception staff were more than happy to let us store our luggage in a secure room while we explored the local area, and in general all the staff were lovely and friendly. We splashed out a little extra to book a room with a private top floor terrace, although there are also terraces on the first floor which extend out towards the pool (and therefore less private). The room itself was great, although considering we paid the top rate for their premium room type I think we expected a little more. Nevertheless, it was very clean, we had lots of extras provided (shampoos, shaving kit, bathrobes, bottle of cava on arrival etc), and our terrace gave us an awesome view of the city skyline and nearby Mount Tibidabo. We did have a problem with the bathroom door but as soon as we reported it, it was sorted out by the time we returned from sightseeing. The hotel offers loads of services such as dry cleaning, ironing, packed lunches and massages among others, and the food was excellent too. We had gone half-board which included breakfast and one a-la-carte (three course) meal per day. Overall the food was excellent - the breakfast buffet was massive, and the portions for the lunch/dinner were huge. Our only issue was that there wasn't much variety on the a-la-carte menu, certainly not enough to have something different every day for a week, and because the portions are so generous it was getting a bit much by the end of our trip. The hotel is in a fantastic location, situated on a main road about four blocks from one of the main city centre plazas (Placa de Catalunya), which itself is at the top of the famous La Rambla and Gothic Quarter. The Metro L2 stop is about a five minute walk, which itself is only one stop from the Sagrada Familia basilica, and there are also loads of great bars and restaurants nearby which are a lot cheaper than those in the Gothic Quarter and at the waterfront. These cover all types of cuisine from traditional Spanish/Catalan tapas to Indian restaurants, sushi and ramen restaurants, and even an American deep South bar. So really nice rooms, lots of services on offer, great staff and an awesome location. We'd like to say a special thank you to Francisco and the hotel manager (whose name we didn't get unfortunately) for both going out of their way to make our honeymoon special. Definitely worth staying here if you're looking to get away as a couple.

Hotel rooms are nice, well equipped with an energy friendly conditioners that shut down if a balcony door is open. On hotel website, pool is advertised along with other hotel amenities but when I saw the pool, it was shocking how small it is with a back door access and another deck of stairs to reach it in between the buildings to the back of the hotel; it is almost the size of Jaccuzi basin. Breakfast was fair. Staff are very helpful and lovely, they would address any issues immediately and without delays, their communication skills are quite high.

We stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights at the end of august. The hotel is in a good location if you don't mind a short walk to the main attractions. One day we got a taxi back from the (3rd) beach in rush hour, on the meter, and it cost just under €10. There are some nice bars and restaurants near the hotel which are worth a visit. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean!! And I am fussy believe me! The staff were friendly and efficient. I asked for an iron & board and it was sent to the room. We needed milk for our room and we got it from the bar. We were given complimentary Cava on arrival and departure. There are towels for you to use at the pool. You can arrange a free 1 hour late checkout and €10 every hour after, if your room is available. Just one small thing to note, the sun goes off the pool in the afternoon. I know there are more things to do in Barcelona than sunbathe as this is my second visit in a year. However I think it's useful to know so it's not a criticism of the hotel it's just an FYI. I would recommend this hotel. I don't know if we will return as we are working our way around the different areas of Barcelona.

Overall seems nice at first but it is old and dirty. Poor maintenance and upkeep. Our shower had hair and an old shampoo when we checked in. Overall condition is very poor. Told the front desk and they said they would let house keeping know to come clean better. We were told they had no other rooms for us. We will stay here the rest of our trip but won't be back. It needs to be remodeled not cleaned.

The hotel is situated very close to placa de Catalunia, and has all sorts of shops nearby! The pool and the food service are to be noted as excelent. Maybe the view is a bit 'meh' is you are on the bottom floors. Staff is helpful and the price was very good considering it was during high season

I go on quite a lot of city breaks and I can honestly say this hotel is one the best ive stayed in. We were welcomed by a very friendly doorman who chatted to us, gave us directions, gave us weather reports and just general chit chat. Really nice man. whilst checking in you are offered a drink of champagne. You are given the free hotel wifi password as well. The rooms were really well maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. Very well decorated and modern décor. The hotel has a roof top terrace with a pool. My friends were lucky enough to get a terrace apartment so the door opened up right next to the pool. My room was facing the main road but I couldn't hear any noise from outside. Air con was great as well. the hotel is about 5-10 minute walk from Las Ramblas. I can not fault this hotel our the staff. Thank you for a great comfortable staff! I honestly cant fault this hotel
