Four Points By Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal3.0 out of 5.0

First of all, let me start saying that it's, in my opinion, the hotel with the best price/quality ratio. This is partially because the hotel itself is quite good, partially because the overall quality/price ratio in this area of Barcelona is overall very bad. The good: - hotel is quite new and everything looks good - rooms are comfortable, water provided for free (nice in summer) - breakfast is nice enough - comfy bed - very nice shower The bad: - rooms are very noisy: both from the street (if you're on Diagonal side, esp. at low floor) both from the hotel itself, you can hear EVERYTHING happening outside the room and when someone closes a door, your wall shakes - in several rooms I've been staying, some bathrooms equipment are sometimes in rust although overall quite new - nice view over Sagrada Familia and whole Barcelona I suggest to ask for a room on the back side (even if you lose the view) and on high floor.
Geraldine ,the assistant manager on reception ,went out of her way to welcome us and suggest highlights of Singapore to visit during a stay curtailed by our flight being diverted overnight to KL. She is clearly proud of Singapore and is an absolute delight. What an asset to this great hotel. Thank you.
I like this hotel because it is only a short walk to the beach and it’s away from the busy tourist area of La Rambla (it’s only a short taxi ride to get there). For me this is a big plus. The hotel is very modern. The rooms are on the small side, but clean and very functional. The hotel staff is very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is well-stocked and the service in the restaurant is excellent. There is plenty of shopping within walking distance and there are some good restaurants nearby. The walk to the beach along a street with a pedestrian mall is very enjoyable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We stayed at this hotel after our cruise and were not disappointed. This was our first time staying in Barcelonetta, what a great location!! It is near the Rambla nova and a short walk takes you right to the beach. Along the way there are many stores, restaurants and cafe's with many locals enjoying the sites as well. We upgraded our room and had a great view of la sagrada familia. The restaurant and reception staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. This is a much quieter side of Barcelona and will definitely stay here again.
We stayed for a couple of nights here while in transit through Barcelona. We were on the 11th floor which I believe has slightly larger and recently upgraded rooms. The room was functional , modern and clean and we had a fair view over the city and the bed and shower were great. The aircon was poor and for us the night time temp was too high ( in November ! ). Opening the window didnt help since that puts the aircon off. Room service the first day arrived less than hot but we ate it anyway as we were so tired. On Day 2 it was also cold so we sent it back and i was returned a bit better. Final day breakfast room service they got the order wrong , had to eat separately. The hotel is minutes away from bars and restaurants , taxis , buses , and teh hop on / hop off stop is only 10 mins walk as is the beach. Finally , the staff were excellent in all regards - hence a 4 rating v the 3 I would otherwise have given.
Very comfortable hotel a little out of town but on the road leading to the beach which is 15 minutes walk away down a pedestrian street with lots of restaurants and interesting shops. Reception staff very welcoming and room was clean and spacious. It's a short walk to the metro and convenient for cabs to the port and airport.
very nice hotel at a very good location. Staff was very helpful and nice. Nearby streets offer very good restaurants and food. Also the center and coast easily accessible. View was fantastic from my window. Although I was on a business trip so could not enjoy to the fullest, the hotel provided everything needed with a good service.
The Sheraton hotel was walking distance to many of the well known tourist destinations, on the tram and bus routes. It was easy to catch the tourist bus which takes you to all the local attractions. There are many tourist attractions, great restaurants and a variety of shops within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely and practical. Our room was large and comfortable. The terrace bar has a good selection of food and drink. We enjoyed tapas and delicious cocktails. A lovely hotel in a great location!
The staff we met were absolutely helpful, friendly and in short great: Carmen Escobar, front office manager Marta Gutierrez, customer relations Maite Aronga, restaurant Simon, restaurant Vanesa , reception Clara, reception Ricardo, concierge RICARDO, concierge
I also arrived early and my luggage did not and the front desk staff was so kind and helpful and enabled me to check in early after a long flight. The room was very good, clean, good shower( water pressure is important!!) . The staff was so sympathetic with my lost luggage situation and kept me informed the whole day untill it finally arrived after 9 pm. The cafe/bar was nice with two friendly waitstaff. The neighborhood of Poblenou is not touristic like other areas, but still within easy walking distance of Sagrada Familia and also a short taxi ride to the cruise port. If you need a nice place to stay prior to a cruise this is the place and an excellent value.
