This is a very nice hotel. Nice modern rooms, decent internet and 1 or 2 international TV channels. The bathroom is nice and modern. Good location, so close to Plaza España. The garage entrance is very narrow, not for very big cars.
The first impression of the room was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke which remained for most of our 3 nights stay. When asked to change to another room the hotel was apparently full so we were given a window handle to ventilate the room, but the window wouldn't stay open unless we used the bin basket as a support. The room was very cold during the night which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The staff were helpful enough and the location is good when coming from the airport as there are coaches and buses that stop right across the street. We didn't have the breakfast at the hotel but there are bakeries in the area with fresh and affordable options. The bathroom and shower were spacious and had some useful hygiene kits. It was ok for a short period but wouldn't stay there again.
IN ENGLISH: The staff was the worst. for nothing attentive or considerate with their guests. Much noise from the street, impossible to rest. The hotel does not have no lounge / lobby services where you can be. For less money there are much better things in Barcelona. I will not come back. No volveré.
We came from a short stay in Madrid to the hotel in Barcelona. We had a double room and compared to the double room in Madrid, the room here was huge. A lot of nice supplies in the bathroom which for Europe is pretty atypical. The reception staff were very friendly. I loved the breakfast, instead of only having American items, the main portion was typical Barcelonian. You're in Europe, you should eat like it. I like that although the hotel is close to the metro and Fira Barcelona and Plaza Espana, you also get the neighborhood feel and are able to have contact with actual Barcelonians.
This is the most basic hotel on every level. We stayed in a suite for a family of 4. The rooms were spacious but VERY sparsely furnished with no decoration. All beds were twin sized covered by bed linens that seemed pretty old. Internet service was available but intermittent. ALL of this would have been excusable and the review would have gotten many more positive points if only there had been ample AC. We could hear it, but there was no air flow what so ever in our rooms. The biggest memory I now have of our family trip to Barcelona in July is "hot... dang hot". Sadly our hotel room was not able to serve as the respite we so desperately needed from a long day in the heat. The hotel was very nicely located near the magic fountain and close to bus stops, but this location came with the price of a lot of road noise. This meant that (if you wanted to sleep) opening the windows for much needed air flow was not possible.
We got the train into Barcelona Sants station for 'El Classico' at Nou Camp. It's within walking distance of both the station and the stadium, which was particularly useful for after the game itself. The hotel is basic in many respects, but its very clean with air conditioning, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The roof terrace is also great - we enjoyed chilling out there with a beer before dinner!
Had a wonderful time during our stay here last summer. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the reception staff and the lady at breakfast, who on one of the days went out to buy croissants for us as they had run out before we came downstairs. Breakfast is plentiful and the hotel in general is very quaint and well decorated. Excellent location, 5 minutes from Monjuic Fountain and super easy access to tons of restaurants and cafes. 5 minutes walk from a huge mall too so you get the best of both worlds with the local places on the street right next door to the hotel and the fancier places inside the mall. The metro is also right near the mall so again, a 5 minute walk. Plenty of authenticity in this area too. The room was clean and very roomy, we booked a quadruple room and were not disappointed. The cleaners also found my watch which I had misplaced in the room and left it on the bed! Truly enjoyed our stay and when we come back to the beautiful city of Barcelona, will definitely be staying here again!
Hotel was nice and had nice sized rooms, we had a kitchen in as it was like an apartment, aircon worked well which I was concerned about as other reviews said they had issues, wifi was very poor in the room, Room was noise due to traffic. Overall , it was well priced and was clean and neat with good quality beds. Location is very good as close to the Red train line meaning you can use it to get anywhere in Barcelona
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions. They got us into our room early as they could see we were weary from an overnight flight. They were also thoughtful to give us a room far away from the rooms of a large group of school children staying at the hotel. Our double room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The large rain shower in the bathroom was a nice touch. The wifi worked well. The room has an electronic safe for small valuables. The location was easy to get from the airport. It is near a major transportation center for the metro, bus, and airbus. We were able to explore the city easily by taking bus or metro just a few blocks from the hotel. Markets, cafes, pharmacy, and a shopping mall were all within walking distance.
This is a very minimalistic hotel. It is great as a business hotel as you will don't spend much time in the hotel except to sleep. I was there for a conference in May. As far as location is concerned - it's great - easy for buses, taxis, trains and restaurants. As for the hotel itself, it is quite basic - not even a coffee/tea facility. I had a massive room with 4 bed (not that I needed it but just that was all available and I wanted to be in downtown). They did clean the room every day etc., I would not fault the hotel in any way, except to suggest to have coffee/tea facility but otherwise, you get what you pay. So - as a business hotel it is great but not much otherwise. To be cautious - there is a bar under the hotel, on the street. It can get rowdy. There was a drunken fight one evening with police being called.
