In the framework of a european project I organized a 2 days meeting gathering 45 european researchers at Abba garden hotel. The location is good : you benefit from calm as you are not in Barcelona, but it is easy to access Barcelona center as you are not far from a metro line. The rooms are wide, very quiet and you sleep well. The great plus of this hotel is its team which is just wonderful. I am used to organizing events throughout the world and was just impressed by the quality of the service.Iit was so easy to work with them. The 45 participants (including myself) were enchanted by the organization of the event and their stay. I surely recommand this hotel !

Had the pleasure to stay here, rooms really comfortable , had one with a balcony which is worth the extra. Restaurant small but nice, food selection limited but good quality . It’s north of the city in quiet location , just north of bernabu . My only issue was no heating control in the room , air conditioning exists but only to warm and rooms were warm enough couldn’t cool it.

When you take a group of school boys to a Hotel as you can imagine both the Hotel and other guests are always a little wary. As far as the Hotel were concerned they could have not been more helpful. We were taking part in a big hockey tournament at the RC Polo Club which was about a 15 minute walk away and this meant early starts and breakfast . The breakfast suited all the tastes of hungry teenagers . There was also leisure facilities such as hot tub and paddle tennis which kept the boys busy in down times . The rooms and bathrooms were ideal . The Hotel is situated within walking distance of the Nou Camp and the Metro . We cannot thank the staff enough for their help and friendly attitude especially in the storing of the furniture as we did have a late pick up for the Airport

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very happy with the hotel. Room was very spacious and spotless. Very comfy bed too! I booked room only but would advise travelers to book breakfast as there is nowhere in the immediate vicinity to have breakfast. If mobility is an issue then you will need to get taxis everywhere, but if you are able bodied then it’s only a 15 stroll to the metro. As I arrived quite late, It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I guess this is to encourage use of the in-house bistro café (which was nice and reasonably priced). Staff were very friendly and professional and I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Close to airport 15 min by taxi. Friendly staff and good house keeping. Even the furniture of room was not new, each detail has been thought. I liked it. The breakfast has choices. (different cheese, bakery etc.) I advise customers who demand reasonable quality and service. Thanks Anna Garden!

I stayed here for close to a week while on a business trip. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel. Very large rooms for European standards, great breakfast, and a complimentary shuttle to nearby companies, universities and metro stations upon request. Only letdown was the food at the bar in the evening, which was not too impressive. At least the staff was nice though!

Me and my wife have stayed in the "Abba Garden" hotel at October 22-26. The hotel provided us a nice and comfortable stay with its great hospitality, amazing breakfast and the large neat rooms we stayed in. I would like to point out the hotel's crew which was very kind and generous. Especially, I want to mention Adria, A receptionist who was simply willing to help with every request during all of our stay, and most importantly- did it with a big smile. Thank you for a very satisfying experience on our vacation. Very recommended!

First time at the Abba Garden but found it to be a great hotel. The room was clean and modern and we had a great view over looking the city. The hotel is in a quiet and affluent area. Breakfast and food in the evening where great if a little limited in choice. The pool had just closed for the season when we arrived so didn’t use. As we had limited time went everywhere by taxi and most tourist attractions are about 15 minutes away and each taxi journey with tip was 15 to 20 Euros. The hotel would order you a taxi and taxis were plentiful for your return trip. Helpful friendly staff who spoke English and there was a nature trail at the back of the hotel which took you to the top of the hill. Great terrace area for eating and drinking al fresco and was very lively on some evenings. There were a few restaurants nearby and the one we tried had great food, even if the night we went we were the only customers. If you want a nice quiet place to stay when in Barcelona difficult to beat the Abba Garden for quality and price

Abba Garden has a friendly staff, good cleaning and nice restaurant and patio to eat something. The room was clean, has enough space and a great bathroom. You even get a free toothbrush, pasta, sponge, douchecap, shampoo, soap, comb and shoe polish. You needed to stand in the bath to shower but you didn't notice because the edge was straight instead of that kind of round so that worked well. Breakfast was very good and a very diverse, enough to choose. You could also sit in the restaurant en order some dinner, they had some simple choices but it was very delicious. We didn't feel like going to a restaurant in the city after a long day so it was nice that it was possible to eat at the hotel. At a good price as well. Sometimes a little bit of slow service but that was ok. It was in a more quiet neighborhood so that was great. There was not really a supermarket close by, so keep that in mind. But as a said, you can get a lot at the hotel as well. To get to the hotel we used the metro line number 3 to zona universita (from the airport) and from zona we could take the bus LM (2,15 for a single ticket) to the hotel (stop: pg Sant Joan de Deu - Santa Rosa). From there it is only a 2 minute walk upstairs. NOTE: if you have a HOLA metrocard (bus/metro) you could also take bus H4 and stop at Av d'Esplugues - Gonzalez tablas and walk for 10 minutes to the hotel. You could also walk directly from the metro to the hotel but thats a 20 minute walk en consider that you have to walk upstairs (when its warm, not so great) but if you do walk straight ahead from the metro and after 5 minutes on your right there is park where you can go up (stairs) and then more up and you're there. The metro is also the best way into the city. Line 3 also brings you to the ramblas for example. Google maps is your friend. Oh and the pool was nice, but be aware of the mosquitos, we were bit a lot. In general a great stay.

I enjoyed my time here - it is clean and reasonably priced, but not more than a 3-star hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights on business. I upgraded to an executive suite. The room was spacious for Europe, with a large bedroom, entryway, and bathroom. The highlight was the patio balcony, overlooking the city. However, I didn't make much use of this, as there were only two chairs, no table, and no recliner on my patio (other patios did have a recliner). The hotel is only steps to the hospital area, and about a 10-minute walk to the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (through a pretty park). The disadvantages of this hotel are as follows. Firstly, the location. Unless you need a hotel near the hospital, or near the conference centre, this is FAR from downtown (at least 30 minutes by taxi or public transport). There's really not much around. There are some coffee shops and restaurants, but these require 30 minutes walk minimum. Secondly, the rooms are somewhat dated. The bathrooms and carpets need updating. The wifi is terrible - barely usable for email, without an upgrade option. Finally, the gym is very basic. A treadmill (which I couldn't get to work), and elliptical, a couple of bikes, and some free weights. Overall, I was comfortable in my stay, and it was convenient for meetings at the conference centre (and cheaper than the Fairmont). It was worth the stay, but not an outstanding hotel.
