Have stayed in a few places in Bali, we always look for direct beach access. Grand inna certainly has that, with no busy road to cross. We booked two superior pool access rooms. The rooms are well cleaned every day by very friendly staff, but the smell from the bath/shower drain is horrendous. Each day we plug it up so it doesnt stink out the whole room. And the aircon filters need cleaning! But we literally spend only sleep in there, so not a huge issue, just not pleasant! The pools (3) are lovely and cater to all ages. Staff are very friendly and helpful, as are all balinese people. Breakfast has a great variety and is plentiful, some of the ^hot^ dishes are cold though, so bain marie's and chafing dishes are not that good. Made to order dishes are great though, so we just have that. Overall i would stay here again as the location is great, but some renovations need to be done.
We have been going to Bali for many many years now & every January we take a large group of young 20 something year olds all our kids friends & partner . We wanted something in the heart of Bali so they could walk to most things. This hotel was in a great location. We had 6 of their new rooms Deluxe Pool access rooms so we could just walk straight out of our rooms & jump straight in the pool. They were lovely. Airconditioning was great & the rooms are very spacious. The superior rooms are located in the old part of the resort & from the out side didn’t look as good & the pool was older. Over all this was a great value resort with 3 large pool areas. Breakfast was also very good with a great selection of Balinese & western food (eg: they had bacon😁🥓) so I would stay at this resort again but definitely book in the new part of the resort.
Grand Inna is located right on the beach in kuta area of bali. It is about 3 kms from airport and very close to main street of Kuta. The check inn was very fast and the staff at the reception was highly cooperative, specially Mr.Erik. We had booked for superior room but the room was a bit old and far away from the pool and reception area so we requested to upgrade the room to delux which was immediately done at a very nominal charge. The delux room had a very nice ambience with all modern facilities. The breakfast was well spread and the staff in the breakfast area was always ready to help. There was a nominal charge of 100,000 IDR for kids breakfast ( above 6 years) Though the hotel has 03 swimming pools but one is directly on the beach and lacked privacy so we opted for the other 02 pools. Pools were clean and we spent a nice time in them. I hired a car and the hotel had free secured parking space.
Grand Inna was in a great location with the beach right out the front and no main road to cross to get to it. We had a Deluxe pool view room which overlooked the sunken bar pool, room was ok, a bit old and unfortunately there was a horrible smell coming from the drain in the bathroom all throughout our stay. The resort handled Nyepi day really well, still providing most services, buffet breakfast, room service and housekeeping and all they asked for in return was for guests to be quiet and respectful. I would stay here again, but would book a pool access room in the new wing next time
We booked into Grand Inna last year but cancelled reservation at last minute because we were unaware of the pool renovations that were happening so we were very excited to stay at the hotel this time. The stay was good. We spent a lot of time at the HQ pool and bar which had great service and food. The only issue I had was that we had to pay 15 000IDR for ice for room service. I just feel that that is a bit cheeky. The breakfast buffet was ok. I feel that they could’ve changed it up a bit everyday. You tend to get tired of the same options on a daily basis. Great location and great sunset point.
We stayed here for 6 nights for a change from where we usually stay in the legian and seminyak area. In general hotel is lovely however my pool access room.im Bali wing was awful in particular the bathroom which was old and inviting. The shower head is so low you can only wash half of your body unless your 4 feet tall. The kelapa pool was mg favourite however the Bali wing pool needs attention, to have the AFL or other Australian sports played on the tv day after day becomes tedious and boring although it may be a shock not everyone staying here is Australian so some variation would be nice even some nice music! Breakfast was tasty with good variety. In general Bali wing rooms need a huge overhaul especially bathrooms and I think I prefer the seminyak or legian area hotels as they cater to a wider variety of guests.
First visit, breakfast average, a bit pricey for the room we had. On the plus side, staff were helpful and room was clean. Pool area lovely.we had a room which opens out to the pool so that was nice to relax there.
Hi, After coming to Bali several times this is the first time we need to complain somewhere. We have been in hotels of every budget and for the price paid for a Deluxe room in Grand Inna Kuta you can get a far cleaner, less stinky and more friendly check in anywhere else. Nevermind that the pictures in booking.com don't fit the reality, specially the bathroom, where in booking appears with a refurbished shower with a glass screen and in reality is an old bathtub with a courtain. The drain smell cannot be covered with air freshener. By the way I have no idea how they manage to make look the swimming pool next to the beach when it is between buildings. Cannot understand how this hotel got a 4.5 rating.
Since our first stay at this property nearly 2 years ago, we experienced the same warm reception of the staff, in all areas, but unfortunately our room was basically comfortable, with one exception being the bathroom, which still had the bath with shower. The meals area on the same level as reception, was much cleaner from the previous stay, and more comfortable with the installation of the glass windows on the outside, and the air conditioners. The Gelapa pool was beautiful and the trees provided some shade from the sun while swimming. Overall an average hotel with easy access to the beach, and the walkway to the rest of Kuta. Hotel transport to and from the airport was excellent for the price. A word of warning! Beware the tiles on the floor in the hotel Spa which are very slippery.
Stayed here for 7D6N in a deluxe room in the new wing with bathtub. Room was very nice and the bed and pillows were huge. Had breakfast here and they provided a good variety of food + a frequent change in variety everyday. They served bacon so I'm not sure if the food here is halal. We made use of the photo shoot + complimentary photo. The photographer was very professional and humorous and we immensely enjoyed our shoot with him. We even went on to order the photography package from him. Hotel staff were lovely and made it a point to greet us with a smile every morning. Celebrated my birthday here and they surprised me with a Black Forest cake at night. Did not use the pool so cannot comment on the facility. We only have 2 slight complains. 1) Our room (2241) was rather far from the main lobby and breakfast area as it was right at the end. We had to walk down 4 long corridors every day to get to our room. 2) On our first night (18 march) there was a rave/huge party going on just outside on the beach. Was quite disappointed as we were not able to sleep and we desperately needed the sleep as we had to wake up early at 2am for our Lovina beach tour. I understand this is beyond the hotel's control but a suggestion would be to install soundproof windows. Nevertheless, does not change my 5 star review of the place as we genuinely enjoyed our time here and we look forward to coming back.
