What can I say have been to The Grand Inna three times and it just gets better ! Six couples stayed at this Hotel in March for our friends 60th birthday and had an amazing holiday ! Such a fantastic location for a very good price We all paid approx $120 per night per couple with a breakfast included. The breakfast is excellent. you can pay more if you want and stay in a pool access room . I have stayed I in a pool access room and they are great but you would pay $180/ -$200 a night all depends on the type of holiday you are looking for . The Staff are so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble . This Hotel is on the beach and within easy walking distance of Discovery Shopping centre bars and restaurants . You cannot get much better than this Hotel for the price. And yes we will all be going back next year .
Being a Beach Bum, I prefer to stay at hotels near or Beside the beach hence, me and my friends stayed here for 5 nights. This four star hotel is strategically located as it is one of the few hotels in the Kuta Area that has a beach front access as most hotels lying along the JI Pantai Kuta (Beach Road) lies across the road from the beach. The other few hotels with beachfront acess lies along the JI Kartika Plaza and along the Seminyak area. The best deal in staying here in this hotel is the LOCATION! Just in front of the Sunset Bar of the Hotel and steps away from the Sunset Pool is Kuta Beach. This hotel has 2 wings, the Bali Wing and the newer Beach Wing and both wings have about 322 rooms and suites and 5 floors. The hotel also lies near the major attractions like Beach Mall, Hard Rock Cafe, Starbucks Coffee, Gloria Jeans Coffee and 1 minute walk to Kuta Square. besides having nice and clean rooms and complimentary bottled water, they have free wifi service for guests all around the hotel, free beach flip flops which you can use, a well stocked mini fridge with soft drinks and sports drinks for those staying 3 nights or more (complimentary), a digital safe in the room, complimentary buffet breakfast at the Breeze Cafe from 6 am to 10 am everyday and complimentary access to the three swimming pools of the property (kelapa pool, sunken pool and sunset pool). they also have a big sofa which can double as a sofa bed. smoking containers for smokers outside the rooms (as all rooms are non smoking) and lies near all the major attractions in Kuta within a 10 minute walk like the bars at JI Legian, the Beach Walk Mall and Hard Rock Cafe at JI Pantai Kuta and Waterbom Park and Discovery Mall at JI Kartika Plaza. prices of a standard beach wing room is about 1,1000,000 rupiah per person (about 98 US Dollars)
BEST location. Very impressive. Located ON the beachfront but ALSO in the central of a busy district so lots to do. The turtle consevatory is right outside (you get to set turtles free - MUST DO for any animal lover). Also close to waterbom bali (thrilling, amazing) and many great hotspots. Reception area very grand. It is a massive hotel so things are a bit far to get to but they make up for it with THREE massive pools. Wifi was off the first day and a but slow at times Breakfast area is amazing and it as a pool and beach view. Breakfast is also massive with lots of places to sit at. The whole area is a bit run down however. Broken tiles everywhere. In the bathroom rusted rails. The beds had springs in them that squeaked and was very uncomfortable. We booked a pool view but mostly had a concrete view.
The Hotel location is really awesome. It is right on Kuta beach and they have access to the beach from the property. There are great eating joints, Fast-food restaurants nearby (within 200-300) metres of the hotel. Apart from Hotel Location and swimming pool everything else was thumbs down. I found the rooms given to us overpriced. They don’t look the same as shown in the pictures. They are smaller than the look shown is pics. Also, they should clearly mention the Wing (old or new) on the booking websites. The old wing rooms are not worth the price, they being sold at. The breakfast is same every-day, nothing new at all. We were staying for more 3 days, so got bored eating there as we have not many options, being vegetarians. Free wifi is only working in the balcony of the rooms. Every-time I need to use wifi I had to move out to balcony from my room. Hotel Swimming pool is great fun. Nice time spent there with family. Hotel staff is very friendly while communicating with them however I don’t like the way they deal with some things like drinking water. You have only around 800ml free drinking water available and if you need more you have to buy. No-one from Hotel staff (reception etc) asked us about our comfort during our stay of 4 days. They gave us some free coupons at the time of check-in which we forgot about. A quick reminder from the hotel staff would have helped us to use those coupons. At the time of booking I specifically told them about our vegetarian Food habits but no special efforts were made to arrange for any vegetarian food though we were a group of 8. A small gesture like that would have done wonders for my parents. Regarding drinking water situation all around Bali is same. Restaurants also too don’t serve free drinking water. As a tourist location, they should change it.
Stayed at the Grand Inna for 5 days last week with a gf; I would like to say first up that all the staff are so friendly and eager to help in any way they can. The front desk staff and guest consultant have good English and easy to converse with. Location is awesome, right on the beach; Jamie’s Italian across the road, other eateries close by, several spa/massages to choose from, & a walk (or $2 taxi) into Legian. There are 3 lovely pools; breakfast is overlooking the beach and has the usual variety which was all tasty. They offer cappuccino’s with breakfast which we didn’t find out until our last day!! It’s been mentioned before; there is a new part to the hotel (beach wing) and an older part (Bali wing). We booked a deluxe pool access room, which we assumed, looking at the photos was in the newer part. Unfortunately not; it was in the older part. On entering our room we were hit with a pungent odour which appeared a mix of musty, mouldy and sewerage smells. We immediately requested a room change, preferably to the new part of the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was quite booked and no pool access was available in the beach wing. They offered us a room on 3rd floor with a balcony in the new wing for no extra charge (should have been extra $20 pn?). The room was much better, clean & fresh; but balcony?? No such thing – It was merely a shelf to house 2 air conditioning units. Everyone is different, but I love having a cuppa in the morning and a drink in the afternoon outside of my room, whether it be ground floor access or a balcony. With this in mind we made the decision to return to the old wing but requested to view room before we moved. The room was cleaner, and fresher and had pool access with our own table/chairs outside our room. I must re-iterate that at all times the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The Grand Inna is a lovely, generally older hotel; my opinion is that it’s a 3 star hotel with a 4 star price tag. At the right price, I would stay again, but I wouldn’t pay the price I did.
The location was great. The hotel services drinks food etc were a very reasonable price. But I paid $150 a night for a deluxe pool access room was told they are the nicest and newest rooms it was not anything to write home about quite old and run down and very small so would hate to see the worst. Breakfast was also very disappointing compared to other hotels. Coffee and bacon really need changing. Staff around the hotel were great and freindly. But trying to get help or info from the front desk was extremely difficult. Would stay again if I got a really cheap deal. But this is a 3 star not what I thought we were treating ourselves too
I gave this Resort 4 stars because we had a nice room with no issues(2202), Well just one the Beds are to HARD. Talking to other guests some had mosquitos in their rooms and or smelt mouldy, For the size of this resort there should be a Fitness Centre and there seems to be room to put one in, Please put one in. I would like an option to select 3.5 Stars because of these concerns. The location is perfect close to restaurants, Shopping, 10minute walk to Waterboom Park and walk straight out on to a the fantastic Surf Beach, Free chairs when buying a drink, Surf board hire, Drinks, what a location. TIP, Unless a resort in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak is right on the beach, You will be missing out and after exploring up and down the beach checking out other resorts this has the best beach location period. No roads just a path on to the Sand. The breakfast has large selection with fruit, Cereals, Eggs to Asian food. It's good and free with room as offered on booking.com 3 Pools, Not keen on the infinity pool on the beach side, Just me, There is no shade over the pool. The really nice pool that our room looks out on is the best in a very nice setting and another more central pool. It is a 15minute walk to Ground Zero Memorial, 5-10min to a large Shopping Centre, Street stalls and markets outside, Restaurants. Fabulous location just wish Grand Inna Kuta had a Fitness Centre, The beds were soft and I could guarantee that if I booked a room again the standard was like room 2202. Thank you to the friendly help full Staff.
I took my 16 year old son and we both had a fabulous time at the Grand Inna. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Pool Access Room in the Bali Wing, it's an old room but very comfortable. The room is quite large and the air conditioning worked really well. It was very relaxing sitting on the veranda and having a drink. The location is fantastic, we never had to catch a taxi anywhere. I would recommend staying here and I hope to be back one day.
After a very long month at work. The wife booked a surprise trip to Bali. She booked the Grand Inn Kuta thinking it was a resort style hotel. Unfortunately this is not the case. When booking this place it shows you pictures from the newly built hotel. But when you check in they put you in the older rooms. Trap for young players so lesson learnt. There was a lot of confusion with the staff as we tried to have a few drinks and a meal at the HQ restaurant a few times. which is the restaurant that breakfast is served in, but were told that we had to pay cash.we also booked a cooking class which we were really looking forward to only to turn up at the location and to be told that the class was cancelled, no notification from the reception. The other strange thing was they want you to use your credit card for the in room safe. The location is fantastic and close to everything Kuta has to offer.
Rooms are standard and bathroom has that smell that all bali accommodation has but all you do is sleep there. Central to everything in Kuta and right on the beach. Upgrade work going on but didn't bother us. Breakfast so good and looking over beach. Walk anywhere to markets shopping centres beach Legian Beautiful eating places. Drivers there if you want to go anywhere else. Think when all the upgrades are done the price might skyrocket. Walk out to beachfront and have a drink and watch the sunset. The boys there look after you.
