The Grand inna is still a winner in terms of location and price. The hotel is spacious, comfortable and clean. It’s in a good central location and has a decent breakfast and friendly staff - very welcoming. The hotels decor and furnishings are a little outdated, however they are constantly updating and adding new facilities and have new modern wings added. I was very impressed by their commitment to the environment and the staff picking up rubbish and keeping the beach clean, so this is a good ethos and commitment of the hotel. The Grand inna are also involved in a turtle conservation program as the turtles are on the hotels land. It would be great to see a turtle donation box in the foyer - and I would have personally contributed a few dollars, as like many other people am concerned about the environment and protection of animals. I would certainly recommend this hotel for families, couples and all who enjoy being near the beach, shopping malls and restaurants.
Spent 5 days with family and was very happy with hotel. Gave us a free upgrade to superior room which was much appreciated. Swimming pool was excelent (very warm water). Breakfast very good but also my biggest complaint. Smoking by other patrons at Headquarters was very unpleasent for us. Although staff tried to locate our table away from the smokers, smoke still drifted to us and made us uncomfortable. Management must try to ban smoking at the restuarant or create a separate area for smokers. The hotel is ideally located especially if one enjoys shopping at the markets and if one likes to try out local food. Even if one likes international fast food, many such restuarants are walking distance away.
Me and my family love this hotel for almost everything it has, the strategic location, the staffs' hospitality, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the swimming pool and of course the beach. The location of this hotel is undoubtedly the best values that you can get. The beach is just 20 meters away. Even they have a swimming pool in between the beach and the restaurant, fantastic isn't it? You will get the Bali atmosphere as soon as you enjoy your breakfast. We enjoy the breakfast too, because the menus are complete and the taste is good. You can find mini markets and fast food restaurant in walking distance from the hotel, very convenient. Oh, if you like to swim in the swimming pool so much, no worries, they 3 swimming pools in 3 different locations in the hotel. Yup! 3 swimming pools in 3 different locations. Yes, I have to repeat that information. :) This hotel actually is an old hotel, but they refurbished it quite well so you won't notice the old ambiance - at least at the lobby. This hotel doesn't have an elevator, because it only has 3 floors so you can manage to get to the top without breaking your legs. But beware to choose your room, because this hotel is quite vast so you may get a slightly far room from the lobby (and from the entrance of course) but no worries because usually the farthest room from the lobby is the nearest room to the beach. The room looked old fashioned, all the furniture are old treasures. I think only the TV that was made in the 21st century, hehee.. The bathroom also looked old, and rather smelly too. Maybe the smell comes from the old piping in the bathroom that can't be replaced easily. Nevertheless it is clean and spacious. The amenities are complete too. The hospitality of the staffs is top class. They speak English well, very polite, and also very informative. You can ask them almost everything about Bali and they will answer your questions as best as they can. After checking in, they gave us welcome drink at their restaurant nearby the beach, what a great sensation! As a bonus, the receptionist gave a cute kids backpack to my son, with a coloring book and colorful markers inside. He liked it a lot! Last but not least, they offer you a photo session for free! You can choose the background, whether in the garden or in at the beach. They provide with 1 free picture (soft copy), but of course you can buy the rest of the photos if you will. We really like this hotel, and would love to come back to stay here again next time we go to Bali again.
This hotel is massive . Long walk to breakfast , lobby and pools down boring long hallways . No character. Old section has no elevator and they put us on the 3rd floor with kids wanting to go to pool a lot this wasn't great . Got moved to newer section and the room was nicer an has an elevator but still long hike to get anywhere . Lots of mozzies around pools and the breakfast was below average , we didn't even bother eating it after first day even though it was included. Staff are very polite but the place is just too big and impersonal .
Grand Inna Kuta is a real gem , right next to the Kuta Art Market and the front opens onto Kuta Beach . You do not feel like you are in Kuta at all. There is three pools to choose from one with a swim up bar . The breakfast is fantastic and the room prices are reasonable.
Booked Superior rooms in hotel, got upgrade upon arrival Rooms are a great side and great beds Three large pools one with swim up bar Breakfast meets all needs Right in beach in heart of Kuta but you would know it as it’s very very quiet Would stay again
Pros: we arrived at 10am and we were allowed early check in; only hotel with direct access to the pool (HQ) yet affordable price; good location- near Matahari Dept Store with supermarket, money changer beside it offers better rates; we loved the food with reasonable price at Warung Senggol which is setup every dinner time at the entrance of the hotel across Hard Rock Cafe; friendly staff; there are free lance drivers outside the hotel whom you can arrange your preferred tour (we got it only for USD30 from 9-4pm) and airport transfer (for IDR 100K only) Cons: breakfast has a wide selection but almost the same everyday We will definitely come back.
We stayed here the first two nights of our holiday in Bali. We had a room with doors that opened to the Sunken Pool. This was in the traditional Balinese wing of the massive resort. The pool was great, as were the bartenders at the swim up pool bar. We took advantage of the buy two get one free happy hour specials. The rooms were clean, and the wifi was good. One thing I liked about the hotel was there was a plug in the room for all plugs. No adapter necessary if you forgot. We took advantage of the free yoga class offered on Mondays. Our teacher was the best. As for the pool/ocean, we lounged by the HQ pool and people watched on the beach. The sunset was also beautiful from the beach. Would recommend staying at the Grand Inna Kuta.
Was booked in the old Bali wing the rooms are spacious, furniture good. The food great and the service very good. But my room was not clean frequently during my stay they were just changing linen and towel only I was too tired to complain and the bathroom is somewhat stuffy and your can hear people talking from the other room. I recommend that anyone who wants to visit the place emphasise on being booked in the new Beach Wing.
Indonesian government hotel right on the beach front, next to Hard Rock Hotel Kuta. This place is big with over 300 rooms. Many local people stay here from Java and surrounding areas. I came solo to meet up with friends. I stayed in the Superior Wing which is the older building, though these rooms all come with a balcony overlooking the gardens or pool area. Rooms 3109-3117 are ground floor superior terraced rooms walking out onto the pool. I found rooms clean and comfortable for there age. Please note that most of the new Deluxe Rooms DO NOT HAVE A BALCONY, which makes for a very closed stay. Who doesn’t like a balcony to perch on at the end of the day, specially if your a smoker. Upgrade to a terrace in the Deluxe rooms, if you want a more open feel. Nice rooms as I had a look at them. Walk out to the pool area also. YOGA is daily in the garden for all the family to enjoy. Give it a go.. A fabulous atmosphere on the beach if you like action, here you will find everything you need from surfing lessons, manicures, pedicures, massages (some of the masseuse have been around these parts for 45 Years so they are great at there job (Susy) was my favourite, bars, local food, donuts, hair braiding, even face shaving, hair cuts,Bintang, money change, list goes on. Fun area to enjoy the sunset and a great way to meet other people. Overall Grand Inna Kuta was enjoyable, very friendly, breakfast is huge with a large selection at the beachfront HQ Restaurant. Swimming pool overlooking the beach with swim up bar. Great for families also, with many areas for the children to play. The reception staff and baggage hold are all very friendly and more than happy to help with anything you ask. You can have late checkout, up to 1pm, shower area and bathroom to use if your catching a later flight. Staff a more than happy to let you stay around the hotel before your fly out. Thank you all for a fun pleasant stay.
