We had spent almost a month in Indonesia, and were just coming back for 2 days from Lombok to stay prior to having to go home so we decided we wanted a hotel close to the airport, This was the 8th hotel we stayed at during our month, and it was one of our favourites. We chose Patra Bali because of the star rating. We were a little worried it would be too close to the airport to enjoy a quiet beach and pool area, but were pleasantly surprised! Even though it was only a 15 minute walk from the airport, we didn't even notice the airplane noise or anything, it wasn't an issue. And we were able to walk to and from the airport no problem. If you have lots of luggage and don't want to walk, its about a 5 minute cab ride, so don't spend more than 70,000 IR on the cab. The rooms were condo-like, individual units, and we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with two balconies at no extra charge, so we appreciated that. The room was beautiful, clean, no issues. A little far from the pool, but there are closer units if thats an issue for you, or you can call for a golf cart ride anywhere you like on the property. The pool area was great, the beach, awesome, breakfast, delicious, lots of choices and free with your stay. We read from some other reviews that it was not close to the heart of Kuta and the noise , as it was not within walking distance, so that's another reason why we stayed there, which was true if you're not a walker or in good shape. However, we walked along the Beachwalk daily to Kuta to shop or have a meal, it was within walking distance easily for us, maybe 20 minutes, so we really enjoyed that daily walk. One day we rented bicycles and biked there in 7 minutes . They rent bikes at the hotel which is nice. I also enjoyed the fact that the locals don't harass you too much to buy things like certain other areas in Bali. Overall , i would highly recommend this hotel, we really loved it.
We stayed at this resort in embassy suite looking to spacious size of rooms for one night only. This resort is very near to Bali international airport and far away from main market. Negative point of this resort is poor service and dirty restaurant for breakfast. My check in and check out experience of this resort was very painful. They had taken at least 30 minutes to transfer my luggage from reception to room during check in and while check out instead of repeated call nobody responded to collect my luggage from room. As i was in hurry i have to rush to reception which was away from my room to send their golf car to collect my luggage. But looking to resort ambiance, room size and economic price of rooms i am giving four stars.
We stayed here for 10 nights as part of a package through Wingbuddy. Our suite was spacious, included a bar fridge that was stocked with free soft drinks and water every day and located in beautiful grounds. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were included and allowed us to try all kinds of Indonesian, Asian and traditional Canadian breakfast items. Most evenings we sat by the pool at sunset and enjoyed their 2 for 1 cocktail special. It's close to the airport but the noise is not very noticeable. My only complaint is that we liked to sit on the patio to enjoy our breakfast and the view. There were many smokers on the patio that impacted our enjoyment. It would be helpful to have a separate smoking patio.
After cutting short a rather disastrous stay elsewhere in Bali, we made a last minute booking at The Patra for our final day/night before flying home. We were greeted by staff who were friendly, professional and efficient in managing our check in and kindly upgraded us to a Deluxe Suite with breakfast, of course, included. The resort grounds are very expansive so we were driven across to our suite by golf buggy. Our escort explained all the room functions and facilities of the suite - and what a great choice to be upgraded to! The suites offer plenty of room as described by previous reviews. Ours was immaculately clean and we were especially happy to find a walk in shower separate from the bathtub. Toiletries provided were fine and included toothbrushes. Our twin beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. There are 2 split ststem air conditioners in the lounge and bedroom respectively. Both worked very well. The pool area is very pleasant, open until 9pm and adjacent to the beach which offers some enjoyable walks. Food service was great at the pool and restaurant and we enjoyed our meals there very much. So, thank you Patra Bali for recovering what could have been an unhappy ending to our holiday. We certainly would recommend this resort.
We stayed here one night, the pool is huge , we stayed in a suite the room was great separate bedroom and living area , the staff are great, breakfast had all cuisines , from Italian , Chinese , cheeses, cereals , hot pastries , a barrister to make cappuccinos , lattes etc... Japanese tepanyaki , and the list goes on , great hotel with the Balinese feel.
When it comes to old Balinese touch kind of resort with huge quite area and warm light at night, sometimes it gives you a spooky feeling. The best thing about this resort is the facilities. You can enjoy the pool, the food and the private beach without going anywhere. The room is clean but since it is ground level resort so the view is only your neighbor. The resort is 5 minutes away from Bali international airport, Ngurah Rai. You can see the airplanes from the pool area.
We have been here 5 times before and have always loved this place with its nice gardens, pools, lovely rooms and the friendliest staff ever. This is now the 6th time we are here, but we will not go back anymore, reason is the massive Chinese hordes that hijack the place. They are everywhere, take all the space, stand in the swimming pools for hours (they cannot swim), make incredible noise, are extremely unpolite, abuse from the food and drinks at the breakfast buffet (they take it all with them for the day), don't spend a penny and are very rude, including their children. I see The Patra staff doing their best to keep a smile on the face, but service is degrading, how would you be when being confronted constantly with rudeness. I do apologise to my chinese friends, because the ones i know are well educated, polite and wise people, but these are not the ones you can find amongst the zero dollar Chinese tourists that invades the nice hotels in Bali (and elsewhere). Sorry dear The Patra, but we will not return to your nice place anymore, no longer enjoy your good restaurants or the beautiful spa. Indonesian tourism and investors should think about what they want for the future.
The staff there are very nice and kind and helpful when you need something. The entire resort is set in a beautiful tropical garden full of beautiful greenery, where you will find a pleasant shade if needed. We spent here two wonderful weeks, full of well-being and deserving of undisturbed relaxation. This place is like a paradise on earth, where the helpful staff will meet what they see in your ere.yes. We had a really nice holiday here.
The hotel is OK, the breakfast buffet was great. It also has a beautiful and well-maintained garden, but there are only very few places to lie down around the pool or the beach, which is really a pity. The fight goes on every day for the few places to rest. We went there to my sister's wedding and the pricing for the drinks and the food is a real rip-off. The rooms are OK, but very old furniture and old bathrooms.
