I booked this Hotel and I informed them that my flight will be arriving to Bali at 9.10 Pm and my check in will be lat around 10.30 pm .Day before the Arrival I spoke to the reservation team and I e mail them too W arrived at the Hotel. No one to welcome. The person was at the front office tall and wearing specs was very unfriendly and asked to pay and at that time I have still not changed my $ in to Rufia and I asked whether I can pay from US $ or can I pay in the morning after I exchange some money in the following day.And the front office guy said no $ accepted and until I pay he needs to keep my Passport at the reception,I was surprised and I have already booked the hotel for 4 nights and they are failing to trust me ( I cant escape from the hotel the lift was just in front of the front desk)So I left my pass port with them. Then he asked me whether I need twin beds or one single bed as i was with my colleague.we said no worries what ever u have arranged for us we are flexible because at that time we are very tired after 7 hours flight and it was late night. He talked to a room boy and he was telling him some thing and laughing at us and said they need a single bed and they are gay friends ....we are totally disappointed and hurt as we are not gay travelers and how the decide at once like that with two guys who are traveling together...Do they Know who we are?We may Brothers or father and son or relatives .... Sadly we we went to the room with a room Boy and he was very polite to us but we didn't feel to give a tip to him even with the first unexpected incident.(But we got a TWIN bed Room) On the second day we came to the restaurant for dinner around 11.00 pm as the restaurant was open 24 hours and there was only one steward there and we sat on a table and waited for 40 minutes and no one came to us and even the steward was there didn't turned and looked at us.we asked the receptionist who was been impolite to us with the arrival to send us a waiter and he came to the restaurant and had a look around and went back.No one came and i saw one of the staff members passing and I asked him to give us the Menu card. Then only we got the menu and they took our dinner order.we had to wait more than one and a half hour to take our dinner at the restaurant. On the third day we came to the restaurant early around 9.00 pm and asked a grilled chicken and they said it is finished and then we asked about many main dishes which was in their menu and found all finished .This was a like a joke to us..even that night also we had to eat what they liked to give us.so after that we never wanted to eat from the hotel restaurant but in the last day we are checking out we ordered chicken sathey and Grilled corn from there afternoon BBQ outlet and it was brought to the room very nicely and we n we are eating the corn there was a worm on the Corn...(I Have pasted A photograph of it)I complained to the reception and girls said sorry and they asked my phone to take and show it to their GM but no one took me to the GM and during my stay I didn't see any managers there or no one talked to us expect bar men at the Two bars. i felt every one is concerned about money in this hotel and no one cares about their service. If their is a General manager there he should talk to his guests and read these reviews and train his staff to provide a good service. I am so surprised about this hotel as a hotelier and about the management too. i only appreciate the Hotel's room service and the cleaning and I treated them well with a nice tip. They are the only people did their job properly and very polite and friendly.very few of the staff are friendly. I will never come back to this hotel as i will be traveling to Bali for 14 days next year.
We had 11 days at Champlung Mas and enjoyed every day. There was a few issues, aircon not working well but Carlos did everything he could to make us comfortable. In the end installing a new one.Beds were comfortable and our room was clean and heaps of room. All the staff were fantastic and breakfast was great. Would stay there again for sure.
I was coming to Bali for a wedding.I had bought my flights a year prior but had not booked my hotel. I was made redundant at work in feb and so I wasn't able to stay where everyone else was at The Padma as it was too expensive. There was another guest of the wedding staying at Champlung Mas and the pics looked good so I booked this hotel. After arriving at the hotel at 1am and not having eaten all day, I was starving. I went to order room service and the phone didn't work properly. The crackling was so bad you couldn't hear anyone. I had to ring the hotel on my mobile. Room service then rang my room several times, but of course I couldn't hear them. Half an hour later they turned up at my door with a menu which was nice, but it was at least an hour before I got to eat. Early in the morning the power went out and so there was no air con or tv. I opened the curtains to go and sit on the balcony and it was literally in a corridor looking at a wall??? I asked to change rooms, which they did and I got a smaller room but one with a view of the pool. It was very noisy as it was right above the pool and kids were in there early in the morning, but that didn't bother me. The next morning in the early hours, the power went out again and kept turning on and off, so the air con kept beeping every time it turned on and off so it was hard to sleep. Again, no air con, no tv, no internet...for hours. In the early hours of Sunday morning, I was mugged. I needed to call my insurance which of course I could not do as I had no phone anymore and of course the phone was not working properly in the room so I had to get dressed and go downstairs to call. I did not want to have to get dressed and talk about the mugging at reception where everyone could hear. The hotel charged me $2 per minute, knowing full well what happened to me and one number didn't work so I had to go back upstairs log onto the internet which took ages and then go back downstairs and try again because the phone in my room didn't work. I then went back to my room to contact my phone company by internet as I had already spent almost $60 on phone calls due to the high rate. The internet was SO slow. It had to be slower than dial up. It was ridiculous and took me over 5 hours of messing around due to the phones and the internet. Trying to sort everything out was a nightmare so much so that I changed my flight and came home. I told the hotel I was checking out early because of the internet issues and phone issues and they apologized but offered nothing. Not even a reduction in the phone charges. I were there for a wedding and I left the day after instead of staying on for another 5 days which was upsetting. I couldn't afford to change hotels, but I would have if I could have. The hotel itself I found to be dingy and worn down. The first room I was in was huge, but I didn't need that much space so the second room was perfect size. There was another guest from the wedding staying at Champlung from Ireland and her air conditioner did not work for over three days although she kept asking them to fix it. On a positive, the staff were all very friendly and helpful as much as they could be, but I would definitely not stay here ever again. There were also no nice amenities like other hotels. There were two toothbrushes and two glasses on the sink. The shower had a shampoo and soap dispenser and that was all. Spend a little more and go somewhere nicer.
The location a bit hidden but can be find easily ... so many attractive places around like cafe, restaurant and others ... also the beach can reach by foot for 10 minutes only Staffs are kind and helpful ... meals great and tasty ... just the parking lot so narrow but there is parking field beside the hotel Great pools ... rooftop pool and ground pool ... all with pool's bar So ... overall ... great stays
Last November I put a review in about the rooftop pool. The ladders still have 2 "round" rungs which makes it a bit hard to get out of. I know they have another pool but I like to sit in the sun. Why when they changed the shaky ladders did they not put extra "flat" rungs in. Oh by the way the have put extra rubber mats down all 6 of them. Waiting on a response. thank you. email@example.com
We had our wedding at champlung mas rooftop on 7th april 2018. They have great wedding packages. Even though i wasnt planning it there i didnt have much time and i contacted the staff puthri devyani and she was absolutly amazing she did everything in 2 days and my wedding was absolutly gorgeous . The photographs was deluvered within 12 hours with album and pictures hardcopy . The makeup artist was great too . I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone who s planning to get married in bali and wanna have a sunset wedding and please ask for puthri . She is very efficient and hardworking. The rooms were great for the price , i would recommend to anyone who wants to have fun even at the hotel. There is music in the pool downstairs and also rootop bar and pool . And its also very close to the pubs and beach .i would definitly come back and stay here in my next visit.
3 times in a row ive stayed here and still love it. Once again if we needed help with something carlos would help us out. This time around i got a head cold and carlos would check up on us on a daily basis. Hes such a good guy with the right sense if humour and heart i hope to see him next time round to thank him for what he has done for us. Last but not least the service all round was great food was top notch too.
Located on Jl Lebek Bene and just 5 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel appears to be a relatively small 4 storey building. Step past the reception area and you will be surprised how far back the hotel goes. There is a ground floor 25m pool and on the top floor another decent sized pool. The top floor has a bar and nice views. The room I had was spacious with a nice balcony on the third level. Comfortable with everything I needed. The hotel has many food and beverage promotions which I found to be excellent value. Definitely a hidden gem in Legian.
Felt quite unsafe as a young adult female. Door locks were a little dodgy and I didn't trust them. I didn't want to use the shower or bath as they weren't very clean. Pools were very dirty and the public toilets near the pool were also very unpleasant.
rooms are big and very clean staff are great from the gardeners, cleaners, drivers[susila nyoman]was fantastic and a great driver he was very friendly and drove really well, had a great time with the food was fantastic.
