Fab hotel very well located in Legian. Great friendly service and very cheap good food and drinks. Also very reasonable room service 24 hours. I stayed in room 131 which is described as superior exec pool/garden side on the ground floor... I would not rate it as exec, was very dark and damp as I couldn't leave the doors open due to noise and mosquitos getting in... people would pass by all hours and also I experienced noise from upper floor room throughout the night. However, it was cleaned daily by friendly staff and sprayed. Next time I would ask for 4th floor as my friends up there had no complaints and paid the basis room rate price. My only complaint really was the lack of umbrellas by the roof top pool (only 3)... lack of shade meant us having to cram sun beds all together. Really at least 9 umbrellas should be available (3 per side of the pool). I would definitely return to this hotel due to its value for money and easy location to beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
As well as the managers, the staff were so very obliging and courteous. Whilst we were not the party type, the venue offers options to suit all. Spa was well priced and very good. 5 min walk to the beach. Thank you - we will return and recommend.
I have friends ask me why I would I stay at this hotel each time I go to Bali. I tell them its the friendly staff, the little bit of the quirky nature of the place all with these smiling faces trying to please you but not always getting there. We recently stayed at this hotel for a week again. The staff where spot on helpful plus so friendly as always. The hotel room we stayed in better than the last time so happy there . I would recommend it if you are on a budget but want a friendly place to stay. Remember its not the Hilton. Enjoy.
Carlos and staff are fanastic and provided my mother and I a great service. Hotel is great value for money. Breakfast provides a variety of food is and 24 hours room service was great. Food & drinks are good and cheap. The room was big and cleaned daily. Hotel is clean and has two pools. Spa is on the 5th floor and staff are fanastic and cheap price. Wifi works great in lobby and pool area.
This hotel was a nice surprise. Initially only booked 2 nights. Was going to move to another hotel for 5 nts, much more expensive. Stayed in deluxe ground floor room. Huge. Clean and comfy. Decided to stay, lucky for us they had 1 room left! This hotel is extremely popular with Aussies. So yes rooms close to ground floor rooms cop noise from pool bar and squeeling kids. Lucky for us we had room at back. Overlooking garden. Roof top pool nice. But really needs some more shade options. More umbrellas, only 2, and potted trees would fix this. The whole hotel needs some major maintenance done. Loose tiles, broken and worn sun lounges. Tiles around pool are super slippery when wet. Room door hard to lock. Gaps in door allow mozzies to come in. I'm sure as most guest these things are minor issues. As price you pay for the convenient location is great. Breakfast is pretty boring. Eggs are cooked to your liking. Fruit and pastries are ok. Found we would head out for decent coffee.
I stumbled across this hotel by pure accident after my reservation at another place had been cancelled because I was late. From the moment I walked in the staff were accommodating and friendly. Two great pools with bars , 24 hour room service , great cheap restaurant that we had breakfast daily with our room price........ and we ate dinner there most time. They also have a nice rooftop dining experience to capture the sunset by the rooftop pool. Rooms were extremely clean and serviced daily. There was a slight plumbing smell midmorning but this went during course of day. The whole place is extremely clean and staff are very friendly.... happy I stumbled across this place and definitely will be back.
The rooms are far from the lobby (and the lift), a bit noisy because there is a refurbishment of the hotel. The room is quite large and comfortable, but a bit spooky. The front streets of the hotel are narrow and big vehicles are a bit hard to get through.
Stayed a few times, great location and value for money. Rooms are spacious, beds comfy.Clean and staff are fabulous and friendly. The manager Carlos is the most helpful and respectful guy. Couldn't ask for a better person. Love staying at Champlung Mas Hotel.
Lots of all night parties and unsupervised children. Ok my room was clean and spacious. But others I spoke to at breakfast while trying to get toast made not so happy with bad smells in room. Breakfast ok but really need another toast station as very slow and at busy times was a long wait. Ok I know we are on holiday but it was a bit of a joke.some people I spoke to around pool said just go up road for cheap and better breakfast. I only have toast and coffee so not a big problem for me. They decided to fog for mozzies one afternoon, no warning and the smell was horrid and thick all those on balconies headed inside. Wifi was hard to get in room. Check out time asked about them helping with online check in for flight, they had no idea how to. Ok I know I went budget, but stayed at another budget hotel before I moved here which was cheaper and was great in all aspects.
Before we come to the hotel I had already emailed one of the staff asking for a room on the second floor; however, when we reached (at around 12 am) we were taken to the farthest room on the ground floor where I suspected would be a very noisy place. Then we asked to change the room and were taken to a much smaller room on the third floor which wasn't so bad but we were told that we'd have to empty the room next morning; however, next morning we called and asked to stay and they agreed. The room/ bed sheets/ pillow/ toilet were smelly and dusty, the air con wasn't working well and instead was filling the room with more smell. Very early in the morning we would hear water, kids running, and other noise, the balcony door wouldn't shut perfectly. The breakfast selections were very few and limited and I just had eggs and cheese for the whole week (being a Muslim I don't eat ham). It was sometimes difficult communicating with some of the staff because of their poor English but we managed somehow. On the other side, the staff are the most friendly and would do anything to impress us and make our stay comfortable, I also liked having dinner at the hotel since it was very affordable and delicious (new delhi pizza is the best)! The view where I had my breakfast everyday was simply beautiful, the breeze and birds chirping really made my entire day. The best thing about this hotel is the location, where it is close to almost everything i Legian, Kuta Thank you Champlung Mas for a lovely experience! Eman
