I picked this hotel only because of the location. The hotel had a set of stale smell when I walked in which was a preview of what was to come. The hallway carpets were stained. My room was clean but the bath tub was so disgusting I didn't even want to stand in it much less take a bath. It had rust spots and also smears where soap or water hardness had accumulated. The plug for the hairdryer was split and did not seem to be safe for use in a bathroom. See photos as it's hard to believe it was this bad! In addition to that the Internet was really slow. I bailed and went to stay at the Marriott instead. The desk clerk was extremely professional and courteous given the circumstances. Got pushback from management regarding a refund. Still working on that. It's amazing to believe that a chain, albeit a franchise would rent rooms in this condition and not be shut down by Wyndham.
Staff was quick and nice at check in and out.Room was big and it was quiet to sleep in but room could of been cleaner and kept up. Paint was old and peeled in room. And towels were dingy looking dirty. Breakfast would of been good if they kept it up till time they were supposed to but staff took half of everything down an hour before already. They're wasn't even coffee left. Liked the lay out of hotel but for the price could of been better.
The hotel as very nice. Would stay there again. This is our second time there.
I had to go to Bakersfield for a wedding . Stayed at this hotel booked for 3 nights first night someone tried to steal my car demanded to see the camaras and they told me tje camaras were out that night a joke!!!
Accommodations were good. Clean and quite room. Jacuzzi was nice and relaxing temp. Convenient location off hwy 99. Shower curtain missing but was replaced in no time. Staff very knowledgeable, helpful, courteous. Good value for lower priced accommodation.
The room is large as well as the bathroom. Very clean! Has a pool and hot tub. Breakfast included in the price. Friendly staff. Will come back when we visit again.
I was in Bakersfield for work. This hotel was very close to the work site and fairly inexpensive. The room met all my minimum requirements (clean sheets & towels, no bed bugs) and then some - while showing a little age & wear, my room was very clean and spacious. The room also had HBO, convenient access (walking distance) to a number of good fast food places, the freeway is literally around the corner, and there is a friendly bar across the parking lot (past the McDonalds). The only interactions I had with the hotel staff were the check-in and check-out, both of which were quick, painless, and problem-free. The only problems I encountered were that when I walked in the room after checking in it was extremely hot (the window had been left open and the A/C off on a 100+ degree day), but running the A/C for a few minutes fixed this. The second problem was that the bathtub was *very* slippery when wet and great care had to be exercised to avoid spraining my bad knee (there was one of this friction mat thingies rolled up and placed over the toilet, but I didn't find it until day 3). All in all, though, these were very minor problems and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I ever had to go to Bakersfield again.
The hotel room was very clean comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The hotel offers many tv channels almost 50 while other hoels have like 20. We really likedthis hotel we would definitely recommended this hotel.
Room was an ordinary room, mini refrigerator was not working, when iron was used left a black streak on clothes. Lobby smelled like an ash tray!
The hotel location was ideal for me as it was near the airport and where I needed to go each day. The room was vacuumed each day and cleaned but the curtains needed to be taken down and cleaned.
We pass by from Las Vegas to San Francisco , it is good and convient for one night stay.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel is set in an ideal location.
First impressions: the personnel were helpful and friendly. Room was surprisingly appointed with amenities. Pool and spa areas were nice. The facility is beginning to show signs of wear. The only negative was the loose bathroom floor tiles in my room and the needed repair of the exercise equipment. I would say this is a comfortable travelers overnight stay.
We needed a stop overnight in order to get to Sequoia NP for a backpacking trip with family, and this was the perfect place. Pool was great for kids (no diving board, unfortunately, but nobody has those anymore) and the hot tub was great for parents (GREAT jets!). Friendly and professional staff. Water puddles from leaky sprinklers attracts wasps/bees but so does the pool (any pool would). Add a couple more waffle irons for breakfast room (too much demand).
We only stayed here one night but had a wonderful experience. The pack and play for my infant was available and room was nice and spacious. I also really loved the good sized bathroom and the great water pressure from the shower! Great experience with staff & service. Next time we're in Bakersfield we will definitely stay here!
We had a every thing we needed and breakfest was awsome. The housekeeping staff was excellent.
upon awakening the next morning I heard a dripping sound coming from the jacuzzi. I got up and expected to have to turn the valve closed tighter to stop the drip. i bent down to reach for the faucet and was hit on the top of my head with drops of water falling from the ceiilng... presumably from the Jacuzzi directly above me... Meaning that their nasty waste water from the persons shower above me had just dripped all over my head... nasty Honestly for the money ... you cant beat the rooms there.. I'd stay again... only because you get a lot of room for your money
After having to change rooms because the a/c did not work in the first room...we had to pack up everything again and move to a new room. The next room we recieved had a tv and lights that did not work and roaches in the rest room. After that, there is no managment there to take care of issues during the weekend and the owner/operator, will not compensate you for any trouble you have.
This was a comfortable room, location and area. Suited our needs. Had been used on prior trips and will be again.
